I bought the Thick As A Brick album with my weekly allowance. I was in early middle school. I loved that it was a newspaper inside the album with articles and even a freakin' crossword puzzle! A ridiculous one at that. Little did I know that I would come to know every word, breath, lilt, guitar lick, drum roll, bass line and nuance of this record. Dear Mr. Anderson, et. al, you inspired me so much that the very next year I saw your Passion Play at the Fabulous Forum in L.A. You do put on a helluva show! I do hope you are well and living comfortably; drinking tea in the English countryside.

I’m astounded just how amazingly talented Ian and Jethro are. No auto tune, all pipes.

I could have seen him in the late 70's when I was in my early teens, saw just about everyone else who came through Detroit in that time period. Didn't care for him, I was into Van Halen, Sabbath, Nugent, Trower and I considered Tull lightweight. I liked Aqualung, but that was about the only song I knew of his, I considered them a 1 hit wonder. How wrong I was, can see it now but not then. I saw him a few years ago but it was painful to watch, most of the singing was done on screen by some other guy.
