    …hey, Grey…. …totally agreed that the XJ40 represents one of the best values in Classic Cardom…and a quantum leap above your Fiesta, Fifi… …but do us all a favor…either adjust your headrest to its lowest position, or forgo the stylish hat…I was just waiting for it to flip off your head into the back seat…major distraction from your presentation… …looking forward to your presenting other comments concerning tenders for the “best value in classic cars”…for there are quite a number of them…😮🧢⁉️

    • @GreyTheFloydianSergal
      @GreyTheFloydianSergal Před 5 měsíci

      Thanks for the comment! I have the headrest high & angled towards my head as a precaution in an accident. In that position you're less likely to sustain whiplash (or at the very least, that's what I've heard) & me losing the hat? That's a tough call, I'm very conscious about blinding people behind me with my developing bald spot & most people wouldn't recognise me in my personal life if I went without it. Plus that hat has sentimental value, being gifted to me by my departed best friend

    Replace yellow radiator fan It cracks and may explode. ALL xj40's need it. Important for safety. Look for crackss where the blades meet the hub, but all need upgraded.

    Hi I have been rewatching all your Judith The Jag video's yet again for the umpteenth time. When are we going to have an update on Judith? When I first saw your video's and the the video by I Drive A Classic when she fell in love with an xj40, I decided to get one for myself as always been a fan on the XJ series having driven one when was in my late teens for my local undertaker. So I then purchased one from North Wales that had been off the road for 14years in dry storage, it has taken me a year to get it back to up and running and when I took it for it's MOT it flew through with no advisories even thanked me for bringing it in has he hadn't seen one this good for such a long time. To say I was pleased was an under statement. Thanks for your video's my wife now knows who to blame.

    I have three XJ40 Sovereign with 4.0 engine and One XJ-S cabrio V12. I was buying this cars because my dad was always in love with all english cars of all kind. The First was a convertible V12 back in 2012. When I went for picking it up from the shop a beautiful XJ40 were standing beside my XJ-S. The salesmen at the Jagshop was wondering if I have the space for one more car in my carmuseum? I said ”Let`s hear the story about this car!” And maybe I`ll be interested. The salesman said - The First owner and the 16th owner of this car was the same person. He passed away last year and was one of the persons who founded the SwedishJaguar Club. Ok! I said! It was a Dark Maroon red metallic with sunroof, a just fell in love almost instantly in this car of 1990 year model with 150000 km. I didn´t say a word to my father until I was going to MOT inspection and I was picking my father up to let him be with me for that day. After driving for a while my father suddenly said: - What`s the matter with you my son?- Now you are finally buying a real car!! - Now I have had it for 10 years time, I must say: Í`m just loving it! - The car is fantastic that`s why I have bought two more of this fantastic underrated classic cars - the Jaguar XJ40! ❤

I had a Nissan Cedric 300C many years ago, it was a fabulous car, very smooth to drive, ultra reliable, mine was in dark metallic brown with crushed velvet brown interior. The least looking curvacious shaped xj6 made. However it is actually a better balanced and harmonious design than the Italian modified series 3, as the square headlights match the square tail lights and square bumpers. I was lucky to be around when the very first XJ6 (series 1) was released back in the late 60's and even luckier to have owned one in the early 70's. It was really out of this world. William Lyons the founder of Jaguar had a brown series one himself and did not swap it for the series 3 when released. As he said in a 1972 interview. It was the best car he ever made.

    ESSO state on their website that their Synergy Supreme does not contain any ethanol whatsoever in the UK except parts of Cornwall & Scotland. However the law requires them to state E5 on those pumps. So I & many other classic car drivers use ESSO as advised by the Federation of Historic Vehicle clubs. By their nature classic cars generally only cover a low mileage so ethanol fuel sitting in a vehicle for an longer period than in a modern is storing trouble - guess how I and others know!
