I couldn't agree more about your quote on sleeping 😂😂 and I just love how you write in your journals excerpts of things you read and want to treasure, it had never occured to me but it's a brilliant idea that I'm going to try. As of this year I have decided on a completely new way of de-stressing, I have taken up slowstitching, I've even made my own first ever paper jounal to keep my mini sowing projects inside. So far every time I get to sit down to sow something I feel time slows down and I can hear myself thinking and even dreaming😊

I am so enjoying your videos! They popped up a couple of weeks ago and I've been binging them! I am American and I live in the Piedmont of North Carolina. I've been to France once in 2003 and so enjoyed it! I don't speak French but wish I did. Your English is very good. I love your accent and can understand absolutely everything you say in English. You mention that you want to learn to sew. You will love it! I've been sewing since age 10. What I've loved most about it is the total control over my wardrobe. I knit, crochet, tat, embroider also. I've recently taken up weaving on a 24" wide Rigid Heddle Loom (a Christmas Gift from my Husband last year). My birthday was this past Spring and he got me a Pleating Machine for smocking too! Anyway, now I am interested in your paper sculpting! I need to stay focused on weaving and smocking to learn them well, then I may take one of your paper sculpting classes. FYI I am a newly retired Interior/Residential Designer. I worked on a computer drafting program (AutoCAD LT) to create home plans and worked for an Architect the first 5 years out of University. Then I got more training in Preservation Design then started my own design business to help helped people restore their old houses properly and sympathetically- especially their kitchens and bathrooms. May I ask what type of large sketchbook you use?

Many people do not understand an introvert or our needs to find time for ourselves. We are unicorns. You explain it so well. Even though married I still need time for myself which my husband of 37 years gives me.

I just watched your video for the first time and what a unique and extraordinary talent you have. I love the idea of having different notebooks to write excerpts from the books you are reading!

I think the brass "pot" is a bed warmer. People used to put coals in it and then slip the pot under the blankets of your bed.

I think it’s great that you honor your thoughts. I think some YTubers share too much. For me for motivation I read my Bible. I don’t feel alone and know somebody is cheering for me to grow in skillful and godly wisdom,understanding,and knowledge. I really enjoy your videos, you seem so sweet and kind. I keep multiple notebooks, journals, drawing pads, too. They have different uses, but really all are a part of my creative works. And I read several books at the same time! Discovery is a wonderful part of life! 🙂❤

Pour relancer ma créativité, je pars visiter des lieux historiques, des jardins remarquables, je lis, j’écoute de la musique et revois mes films préférés qui correspondent évidemment à mon esthétique. J’observe et rêve dans mon jardin. Et surtout je travaille dans mon jardin ou ma maison, et je me livre à la réflexion pendant ces activités purement manuelles. Your videos are always so inspiring. I love the idea of keeping a journal for thoughts and ideas about the books I'm reading.

I spend at least 2 hours a day writing and attempting to sketch. At the moment i have 4 notebooks in use, one for daily journalling, another for poetry, one for writing silly little stories and the last for existential angst - which is very cathartic. I like to get up at dawn during the summer, the mornings are so beautiful.

My "happy space" is definetly my crafts. If I could not be knitting, sewing, embroidering and journaling, I would be lost for sure. For me these activities are a quiet place to focus and to calm down. When I knit, it can be a lot of things: I can knit in solitude and just listen to the rythm of the needles. I can also do a kind of activ meditation while I knit. I also can knit and watch podcasts if I choose to. In any case, it calms me down and gets me back on track, my energy balanced again. Since I am walking on crutches for several months now, there is no walks for me in store, but I can dwell in my littel cottage garden for a bit, doing just enough. I let a lot of plants grow wild and nature thanks me for it. I can draw energy from the plants and it also grounds me. I also love to do rituals like drinking tee and reading. It is so important and a part of my life I do not want to miss. Thank you for reminding me of Charles Dickens. I love him very much. 💞Huggs from Fairy Tale Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. 💗

How lovely to use a nib and inkwell for writing, I think it makes the act of writing things down even more beautiful. The scritch-scratch of the nib on the paper and the smell of the ink is also very soporific I think.

Thank you Letitia, I totally agree, I lead a solitary life as an artist and I love it. I also live in quite an isolated part of Wales, so I find walking daily, helps keep my mind and body well. Books, music and art are food for the soul and will always sustain us. I agree that Knowledge equals happiness too. I do write daily, but I hadnt thought of an ink pen, so I will try that, it seems very peaceful. I think our animals also help with stress, dont they, as does my garden and gardening. I used to keep journals until the top of my closet was stacked very high with them. Years & years worth. I got rid of them & started shredding after writing on notebook paper. I don’t so much journal, but i write out my prayers in my quiet time & write out my scripture for the day. 1st, i give thanks & then go to the Bible, write out the passage & apply it to my life. Then shred. & Off it goes to God. If i get busy & forget to do this my whole day is off kilter. Atomic habits was a life changing book for me. Love your style & videos!
