- A fairy tale weekend at the beautiful fairy Tale castle Le Château de Chantilly which belonged to le duc d'Aumale, ate some delicious chantilly in the park, visited also l'abbaye de Royaumont. In Paris I stopped at le cimetière du Père Lachaise, and at the medieval museum of Cluny to see the beautiful Tapestries of the Lady and the Unicorn.

Dearest Laetitia, I so enjoyed being able to share in your trip to Paris! It's especially great to see your list of comments and likes growing with each new episode. Your dedication to excellence in all you do , not only your artistic creations, but also your CZcams videos, workshops and kingdom, is easy to see. I do watch a lot of sewing and crafting content on CZcams, but nobody brings the same level of creativity and esthetic value. Thanks for the recommendation of Jacqueline Kellen's book about the lady and the unicorn. I had no problem understanding "Une Robe..." in French, so I think the French version of this book will be the same. Spoken French is still a mystery. The Illuminated Manuscripts are Amazing! The Cream Dessert with Rubarb Cider looked So Delicious! There are so many centuries here!💞The Medieval Museum was Wonderful to see with the Red Lady and the Unicorn Tapestries! 🦄🌹🌺I always thought there were many mysterious symbols in these tapestries, and the meanings of the Unicorn are diverse as well💞The Paper Shoppe must have been awesome too! Loved your video. So enjoyable walking around the beautiful castle. Love the items you bought. The paper and envelopes are SO pretty. Amazing purple ink that smells of violets... I've never heard of that. How wonderful❤
Thank you, oh yes this brand has an entire range of simple scented inks, like this one violet, rose, orange ....and a range of quite sophisticated scented inks with amber, vetiver, neroli ...really like perfumes!
The Cluny is my favorite! Sadly, they reopened the Cluny with the Tapestries in a different space than they used to be in, there is no light in this room. This is to preserve them but many years ago the room they were in had a domed glass ceiling and was absolute magic! Of course they are still a must see but the old space they were in really added to their allure. For anyone traveling: the Cloisters in NYC have the "other" Unicorn tapestries and it is a fantastic museum. Also in Sterling Castle, near Edinburgh, Scotland, they now have re-made Unicorn Tapestries hanging in the Castle. They were re-created using technology to ensure the design and colors are true to the originals. They have wonderful videos in the Castle describing the process.
You are a unicorn Specialist Cat!Thank you for sharing these references it'svery interesting , I have to say I was disappointed by a few things at le musée de Cluny, I can imagine the room you saw must have been so much more spectacular than this one which tiring for the eyes. Something I found very shocking as it's a new thing her in France; they put the names in big letters of big international American families on the walls of different rooms of the museum as they had helped revovate or maintain the pieces, which I know can be a common practise in some countries, but in a public museum here which is financed by public money and our taxes it's unbelievable! t for our heritage and a Museum like this one, I find it's a dangerous slope...

I also enjoyed seeing the stationery shop. I could spend hours in there. Also, I am intrigued by the scented ink.
Those two books will be such good references and inspiration. I can already imagine the delightful character sculpting possibilities with the monkeys. Oh, my goodness! I am inspired once more. 😍👍

Fabulous video interesting to see the Fairy tale castle in all its glory. Thank you for sharing the links to the places you have visited with your friend. I put perfume soap in with clothes so when I open the door you can smell the perfume. Never knew one could get perfume ink that is so beautiful and special. Looking forward to your next video.

What a beautiful castle, all the paintings, sculptures and the monkeys. I can see you are making monkey dolls in the future. :+) That ink and papershop....ooooh, that is really a kind of sweetshop. I made scented ink years ago, for my fountain pen. It smells so nice when you write. Thank you for showing all the musea, castle and shops you visit. I cannot take a holiday anymore ( all the animals will miss me, or I miss them) but when I see your videos, it is if I'am on holiday.

Oh yes actually monkeys appear in The White Cat fairy tale so I will have to make them appear in the decors and illustration, and white cat is riding a monkey when she goes hunting , very "Chantilly style" ;) glad you like the video, Thank you !
I was thinking Beauty and the Beast, and then you said the bit about the hand light fixtures! I also found some heavy linen woven in green and natural in a pattern like your coat. I see it has a red lining, but my fabric is green on natural on one side and natural on green on the other. so I don't think I'll line it. but green silk... Love the beret! And that library!!! I'm fainting! I also love the paintings. You could spend a week there. I'm glad that they were able to restore it after the Terror. It's always astonishing how destructive and angry mob can be. So sad. Do you think that the monkeys were because they were involved in Indochine? Beautiful video! Oooh, violet ink! I love violets. I've planted them all over my garden. And Heloise and Abelard...you know so many of the same stories that I know.
Oh nice ! You found a perfect fabric , oh yes because I didn't even see most of the park and the privates appartments which can be visited separately. The revolution has destoyed and damaged so many buildings from the medieval era and renaissance, churches, abbayes, castles, and art in general.... oh no the monkeys were seen as very decorative and exotic since the end of the 17th century and started to be very trendy in the flamish paintings in the late 16th century. Violets scent is really amazing I can understand why you have them in your garden. Interesting that you are familiar with Héloise and Abélard!
What do you do with that many books and that many horses? Wow!
He was a collector, and a big reader too, but I tink he knew someday he would share it with the public even when he started to build his collection.
