- In this April Vlog I share some spring delights after our first warm weekend of the year, my progress on the medieval book castle garden I'm creating for the next exhibition of Le Centre des Monuments Nationaux about Gardens which will travel in different castles in France in the upcoming months and years and which will start in June.
The Dollhouse Workshop will close its doors on April 20 till spring 2025.

Dear Laetitia ❣️almost 35 years ago, while living in a little village in England, a neighbor little daughter, around 9 or 10, made some marzipan fruit for me for Christmas. The stems of the pears and apples were whole cloves and painted just like your apples on your tree! It was a lovely memory for me ❣️Your hair looks so darling with the hair band and all curled. Spring has sprung here with my bluebells and violets blooming. The book, castle and figures are going to be stunning ❣️❣️Happy Spring ❣️❣️🦔🦔🧚♀️🥰🌺🪻😻🐇🥰

Love the apple tree, the blue tops, the fact it is on a book and your figure of course.Magical. A wisteria vine and a rose tree would be great.
Thank you we will se what plants and flowers get added I have already done some wisteria for past castles so not sure I will redo it here , but we will see ; )
Thanks for this art video - just love the way the fairytale book merges with the castle! Just a delight and the Blues for the turrets are quite perfect! True about the radio ... Something nice about being surprised with a song that has not been preselected! Amazing work! ❤🎉❤🎉

I love the castle on the book. It looks if you tell a story and all the figures and plants are coming out the book and become real. Its amazing. The weather is like in France, 9*C some rain, but everything is growing and green. Hugs for Clochette, she looks so cute on the chair. Have a nice week.

I always start my mornings with classic radio too I've done so all my life I picked up the habit randomly as a child and never stopped😊❤

Hi I live not far from Sir Walter Scott’s home “Abbottsford” near Melrose in Scotland, UK. I visit frequently, it has wonderful gardens and quirky interiors with a fairytale like architecture. I’m sure he would find your castle magical and inspiring and be so pleased you are reading his books. When I took my sister who now lives in Tasmania there last year on a visit she made to the UK I spontaneously filmed some of the gardens and uploaded them onto You Tube if you want to have a look at them. Lovely editing and creations, thank you ❤🏰🐈x
I would love to see this place someday, writers houses are my absolute favourite places to visit , now that I'm more and more acquainted with his books and his life, I would love to see the landscapes castles that inspired him and his home of course !!You are lucky to live in his area oh nice Im going to watch your videos ! @@Merveillesenpapier I really hope you get the chance to visit there. At Christmas they build a big book Xmas tree on a round seat with fairy lights throughout. ❤️ edit: oh and they write lines from his books on paper baubles and hang them in the windows.

Hi, Laetitia! The idea of the text and illuminations spilling out of the book is really coming together! What a beautiful image! The people who are lucky enough to visit the exhibition in person have a real treat waiting for them. I'm afraid my comment for one of your recent videos got posted on a much older video, and my effort to correct it was not successful😢 I'm just too old to deal with modern technology. Your balcony gardens are a beautiful witness to Spring. Our hot spell relaxed a bit, but I do fear we are facing a fierce Summer.
