It's interesting to read other coments. Being russian I can say 100% I'm not happy. With my government I didn't vote for. With the war we threw upon our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. With the image our government shows to other russians, and they believe that's how it's a correct way to live. It's all blatant propaganda and it's difficult to speak to people who don't believe that the war is not the way. More than that it's illegal here. to have opposing views. But I must admit. Australia has the same issue.. And honestly its the fault of the govenment. Most people can't afford to have familes, so they don't have them.. Working 50 hours a week just to try and get a house for a family, while the wife isn't working would drive anyone insane.. Sure our parents worked hard to get what we have now.. but when people have the option to either choose misery or happiness.. they're go the fun route of being able to survive on a steady wage without struggling.

My apartment overlooks a beautiful city park in Japan. At night I go sit there to relax. However, I’m the only person I’m aware of in my neighborhood who does this. Everyone else just stays in the house, scrolls on their phone or goes to drink in a bar. Edgy anime never does well in Japan, which is often why it never makes it past a single season. Japanese otaku just roll their eyes and scoff at it. The manga it is based on usually does fine regardless, because the cost to return is less of an issue to manga. Basically, Edgy anime doesn't make money in Japan, which is why it gets dubbed so quicky and dumped in the west, they make the money back here, but can't be bothered with sequals. Dead Man Wonderland is a perfect example of this. Unfortunately, Edgy stuff has always been more popular on the west and fans and creators of edgy works such as Berserk, find solidarity with western fans as they are in the minority in their native community. If you see a lot of something coming out, it is usually because that is what was popular in Japan the last few years. Unfortunately 'edgy' hasn't been popular there since the 90s and even then it was niche.
