I dont think the low esr will cause any problems. These are just filter caps. Not sure how the filtering will be effected but I doubt it matters all that much.

Its even worse these days. They place most all relays internally now and label "Non Serviceable". I fit makes you feel any better, BMW and BENZ do the same thing but with FUSES lol... The exact same bradded fuses but built internally inside module.

There is no inner pad on this one. That is normal ground plane covered by solder mask you see.

Just have to make sure its sitting in zif socket well. Using 91%+ ipa right as you read helps as well.

In the states the legality lies with the person who is selling the car on whether they are misrepresenting the mileage. Which I think is good because of situations like this where it is a replacement part and is only being changed to match what's suppose to be there. I used to have shady dealers always try and get me to roll back mileage here even though its illegal for them to do it still. (I decline those jobs obviously)

Wires are good (and quick) enough for me. No need to get fancy.

I have replaced fault mcu's on these sure. Usually if Im replacing one though I will just correct the mileage/hours on replacement. Im not sure what could have happened with resistors sorry.

How do you correct the mileage? I’m overseas so shipping will not be reasonable. Have you ever had a cluster with no orange/red lights at all that was related to PCB level problem?

Charging phone cause battery was dead.

The ecu is read on the SCI bus yes. Problem with these is PCM is on sci bus as well and when they are both hooked up most tools do not deal with it properly. If you just unhook one or the other though you can read the one still hooked up with no problem.

@@ecurepair Thanks for the tip. I tried that with no luck. Perhaps my scanner cannot read SCI. I am using ELM 327 that works perfect on my 2006 Ram 2500 (CANbus). Any recommendations for a confirmed readable scanner? I had my eye on FORScan.

I gave up months ago. Have a Ford PCM with bad grounds. He did e mail me back twice , then nothing. No idea if he can repair it or how too send it. Looking for somebody who can repair it.

If this is the one Im thinking about, I thought I replied to you that I didn't think your issue would be in the ecu and that I couldn't help on that one . If I didnt, I apologize I probably wrote it out but got distracted looking at wiring diagrams or something double checking myself.

@@ecurepair Yes you are correct. We exchange two emails. I found a rebuilt PCM from A1 Cardone. It solved all the issues. All the codes were coming back to bad grounds in the PCM. Very common with these Fords. I still have my original PCM that I want to send out for repairs. That's where the response stopped.

Probably is easier for most people. I believe it will read these through data lines but I dont use it.

Its you. There is no marking dot on the pcb. Just via's. The one you think is a foot print marker is just filled in with solder. Watch the beginning closely. The chip was placed correctly.

@@ecurepair bro I tried doing this it didn't work so I thought maybe there was too many keys programmed cause there was 4 key active .. so I cleared all keys and it asked me to add two keys .. I tried to follow the instructions it took the first key but the key that had the super chip didn't work.. is your Super Chip Blank ? i am thinking its cause my super chip was the clone of the first key that's why it didn't work, please confirm asap as the car is not able to start anymore. I have the vvdi Key tool pro Max but I am noobie any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

@@kami009 it cant be a clone or the other one because then they have the same ID. it needs to be a separate generated ID.

sure i have a bunch of xhorse stuff. its not bad but its not easy for beginners. Most of xhorse stuff is based off other top innovated tools that come to market and xhorse just kind of mushed it all together.

Howdy, Thanks for the comments and the additional information. I dont remember specifics from this job, I do too many, but If I did it in bootmode then its because it didnt read through data for me. I'm a fairly lazy guy so I wouldn't choose bootmode as first option. Not a Chopin fan? Who is your preference? Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov? I'm a fan of them all so I dont mind any and happy to consider all for future videos.

Ah, here it is 74022PC, the gate driver IC. The other parts are available.

Do not buy igbts labeled 5503GM or the logic gate labeled 74022. These are masked numbers ford used internally. Anything aftermarket is just fake chips that may or may not work. Use updated igbt from onsemi and a compatible 7402. Buy from real supplier like digikey or mouser.

I use REL22 solder (lead free) or if leaded then Kester 63/37, Flux I use is kesters liquid flux 951 (no rosin) & 1544 (rosin)
