Try some of the Tula/Wolf steel case ammo. Im curious to see how accurate they are.
Very informative. It’s surprising how these groups differentiate depending on ammo manufacturers.
Yes, it does make a difference between manufacturers, and thanks for watching
What brand is that quiver you have in there? I’m looking for one for my b-14 wilderness.
Underalert 2 Round Bullet Holder for Rifle with Velcro 223 308 3006. Amazon, thanks for watching.
Great video 👌🏿
Thanks for watching!
I feel like Ive gotten a little better performance out of the 140 grain Hornady match over the 147 grain. The 147 still does pretty well tho.
Hornady Match 140gr eld m factory ammo it shoots better than the Match 147gr out of my rifle. But I was out of them. I'll try to order some for part 2.
@@elchupagoats956 gunmagwarehouse had some really good prices on the 140 gr the other day. And 147 gr also.
Howa minny action for the 6 arc Bolts u can up the pressure Short or long action I perfer 243 win
It's a nice little round, and yes, 6mm creedmoor or 243 win is much better
Happy Mother’s Day guys Ave Maria
nice rifle dude, i just picked up a savage in 7PRC and im looking to change the stock and decided to use the same one your using, what mag are you using with the new stock? i see they offer 300wm, 30-06 and 300prc and i was wondering which is working for you. TIA and good shooting!
Thanks, and yes, I'm using the 300wm 3.715 length. I did adjust the feed lips, and it did help a bit.
@@elchupagoats956 awesome, thanks for the info!
I went ahead and subscribe for fun we will c on content?
Thanks, and yes, I'm trying to put a video once a week.
U r killing the 243 win with the barrel/velocity.
I wanted something short for the truck and box blind but I went to short
Those groups look good! You could be jumping the bad base to ojive nodes. I test my lengths .002 or .003 starting about .30 off. If its a decent group, I'll load up -.003, -.006 or +.003, +.006. Then see what it all looks like. Rumor has it there in a lengrh node every .006 or so.
I'm getting between groups 2 and 3 to test that group. And thanks for watching.
Really nice setup on that rifle…shooting good with factory ammo too which is a plus 👍🏻
Thanks
Don’t forget to smell empties lol
Left hand should be on your rear bag controlling your elevation of your aim, don't wrap your right thumb around the stock, that'll keep you from torquing the rifle a bit, and tighten your groups. This round is EASILY capable of 1/2 MOA, if the shooter does his/her job begind it... I have 2, one Savage Axis II is sub 1/2 MOA, the other AR 15 w/ 24" barrel is about 3/4" with factory ammo, both are 1000 yard successful gong ringers. Watch some Ryan Cleckner videos for some tips on fundamentals... 👍
Thanks for watching
Nice shooting. Good info. ✌🏽
Thanks for watching.
Re: Ruger Go Wild .243 Win (comments disabled) Hand load 6mm ARC with those same bullets and barrel length and I suspect you will get the same velocity with less noise, little better accuracy and less barrel wear. I enjoy the videos.
I want to do some reloads for my 6mm arc with Hornady 80gr eld vt. And thanks for watching.
Good results. Enjoy. Retumbo has served me well in my 7mm Rem Mags. It is a bit better than H1000 all around.....better velocities, SDs, groups. H1000 is very good and typically more readily available so I have used it more than Retumbo. Have you had any experience with the new StaballHD? Looking forward to trying it soon myself.
No, I haven't tried the staballhd. Retumbo was the only thing I could find at the time. I would like to try H1000 later. Thanks for watching.
@@elchupagoats956 You definitely did very well with this test. In my little experience handloading since the mid 80s, I have found that there really aren't bad powders. We all just tweek our loads to perform best in our rifles. I have 2 7mm mags. They both shoot everything really quite well. But each rifle will shoot some factory and handloads better than the other rifle. I have experienced the same with 308. You might even check out Staball 6.5. It likely will not produce the velocity of Retumbo but I worked up a very good load with my 7mm Rem Mag that is sub-moa and very low SD. It is decent velocity as well at just under 2900 with 162 ELDX. Shoot straight.
That's some pretty good shooting, savage seems pretty consistent with precision, can't go wrong. If you feel like doing some more testing give vihtavouri n560 or n565 a try it will probably give you another 100 fps.
Yes, I would like to try it n565. My friend said he was having good results with it If I find some, I will post results as well. Thanks for watching.
Grab the sand bag with ur left hand
Damn that's a thick group
1000 yards all day with both
So buy a creedmoor for bolt gun. The arc is made for an ar
It's a great round in AR or Bolt action.
😂
If youre shooting for groups, stop lifting your head off the stock. Everytime you lift your head you’re creating a different alignment.
I know, but as long you're consistent and do your shooting fundamentals, it's fine.
@@elchupagoats956 Being consistent is keeping your head down and not creating a different alignment each time you lift your head.
Profile of the cartridge directly effects feeding. Was concerned at beginning about that as another channel evaluation said was a problem. Mine is in 30-06 had zero feed issue. Very much like you guys subscribed
I did adjust the magazine lips on it. Did help a little.
The only thing worse then Bear Greek uppers are there service . Horror show.
Really liked this video, I built a Savage10 308 on an Oryx chasis that I'm very happy with. I just subscribed and will stay on if you keep up with this type of content. Looking forward to more uploads. Good job Chupagoats!!
Thanks, and sure, I'll keep posting.
NICE SHOOTING!! I Just found your page I like it. I have been into ARs for many years and just built a couple in 6mm ARC. My first one was a Ballistic Advantage barrel which shot fine but a buddy wanted the barrel. I then picked up a RaInier Arms Ultra match 18 inch and have had some growing pains but Rainiers customer service is AMAZING!! The gun is coming into its own but I am going to buy a bolt action 6MM ARC! as well. I am a huge fan of heavy 6mm bullets and all you have to do is put them in the right spot. Thanks for the review!!
Thanks
Seems like about 30-06 speed. 280 ai probably just as good.
Good stuff, I’m a big fan of the 6 ARC
What length barrel? Speeds seem 200fps lower than Retumbo listed speeds at that 66.5gn
It's a 22-inch barrel, and I noticed that as well.
Got mine 110 tac, gun is very accurate but I hate box mag on a hunting rifle.
The feeding problem you had went away for me when I put the gun in a chassis.
I would put it on a chassis, but it's my friend's rifle.
Adjust the feed lips on that magazine, they are to narrow!! Widen them to raise the cartridge so the bolt will pick up the round!
Thanks for the advice.
Good stuff, I like watching video's like this. I am currently waiting on parts for a custom build and I'm a little bummed about the velocities that I see all of youtubers getting.
Factory ammo was a little too hot. I got a lot of injector marks on the brass. Thanks for watching.
I've got a 7PRC from Fierce and let me tell ya - these rifle manufacturers are really hurting the 7PRC using 300Wm and 7RUM magazines just doesn't seem to feed smoothly for the 7PRC. Good decision in selecting the one you will pick for final development. Just started with some VV N560 and seeing really good consistency, using the same spent Hornady brass and the ELD-X bullets It recorded 1.63 ES and 0.85 SD. 1842 FPS. One of the best I've seen. The real kicker is I still don't have an annealing pilot for my AMP in 7PRC nor an expanding mandrel so that was achieved with the standard Hornady dieset. Couple things i noticed during my load development that may help you out - This 7PRC builds carbon ring fast, you really need to stay on keeping that out. Also with the primers.. I am using the Federal large rifle magnum match primers, if you ever do switch to a magnum primer keep in mind it will increase the cartridges pressure by upwards of 3K, likewise if you still see good ES and SD (ignition) from the standard primers its a good way to build a faster load before you start to see pressure signs. Keep it up!
Thanks for tuning in. I'm using the CCI 250 o.e.m large rifle magnum primers. And yes, the magazines are a pain. I was getting 2850 to 2825 fps, both factory match ammo an hunter precision ammo.
6 ARC is great round for beginners Low recoil, long barrel life and capable of great accuracy with factory ammo
I'd say you have a good one. I've been eyeing the 6mm ARK. Great shooting.
Just go for it
I’ve had a couple bear creek barrels never any luck. I’ve had the best luck with faxon barrels. My 18” match gunner profile 6.5 Grendel is the most accurate ar15 I’ve ever shot. Pretty excited to try out those new v-match too. Just got 100rds in the other day just haven’t had the chance to try em yet. Hopefully this weekend
For the money you can't go wrong. I have 6 different uppers from BCA, and they're accurate with good ammo. But yeah, those eld vt 100gr in a grendel or creedmoor would be really nice.
Get yourself a chronograph. Load a slower charge. Work your way up in small increments. Better shoot 100fps slower than advertised but within 1moa than 100fps faster and all over the target!!! You are a bit over the top there...
Those are factory loaded ammo see my latest video.
Great video keep um coming!
Thanks
WARNING!!!! I've been emailing and calling BCA for 4 weeks. Not one response.
I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully, they will answer you.
Nice work!
Thanks
Dose it feed better from the mag in the new oryx? Mine Dosent feed that well in the original stock,
Yes, it's a little better
Best budget rig ever. If you get a 110 trail hunter in a SA, the magpul hunter would also work well!
Yes, it's a great option. Would be nice for magpul to make one for long action.
What MDT mag did you order for the 7 PRC?
Mdt long action 300wm 3.715 length.
Usual bear creek garbage
I have 6 uppers in different calibers from Bear Creek, and all have worked great.
@@elchupagoats956 THEY STILL HAVE A HORRIBLE REPUTATION IN THE INDUSTRY
For the money you can't go wrong with them..
@@elchupagoats956 FOR BLASTERS I AGREE
They are cheap, but they aren’t garbage. Maybe you’re shooting is garbage I have one and 308 and one in 65 Grendel half inch moa
It’s amazing to see the difference in different manufactures barrels. I built my 1st 6 arc with a 18” proof barrel and it really likes all the hornady factory loads. I have an Iray thermal on it. No resighting on any load. Now I do have to change buffer springs to properly cycle the 75-80-95 grainers. Just got a riflespeed gas block hoping that is the fix for not changing my springs. I make my livin killing yotes and pigs, with it. Great video man nicely laid out.
That 80gr eld vt should be great for coyote and pigs.I have been wanting a thermal scope for a while now. I run a sightmark wraith 4k mini day an night scope on my 224 valkyrie for hogs. It's works well.
@@elchupagoats956 the 80 is awesome on yotes really anchors them, as advertised. I don’t recommend on pigs killed several with it but just not enough there. Ear hole is good but once the start running, I’ve done better with 108s. Definitely prefer the 103s though.
No eye protection ? C'mon man, that and ears are fundamental.
I'll next time, and thanks for bringing it up.
Who cares
Not your problem what he dose with his health. To each their own. You do you I'll do me
There’s hearing protection on the end of the barrel.
Wear ear plugs. You will damage your hearing even with a suppressor. Walker earbuds work great. It’s not fun having to live with constant ringing sounds in your ears.
Thanks for noticing. I have eye an ears and will start using them. And thanks for watching.
