Pregnancy Update: Getting Ready For Apple's Litter!
Charlie your little Sherlock is a treasure! I think he should become a permanent member of your loving family. He is just too special to part with after all you’ve gone through with Apple’s litter. Maybe he was saying the same thing to you with his little chirps and purring! Thanks for all the wonderful updates. 🐶♥️
Thanks to you, I use a very happy Hurry Up with my Shih Tzu pup. He just turned 2 and is doing great with the potty training.
YES ENDING HAPPY FOR THE DOG.
VERY ADORABLE THE DOG.
Why do all cavaliers look so depressed?
Great filming and dialogue, Charles. Sherlock looks wonderful.
PS So cute have to watch multiple times..
Been on a cavalier bing watch recently, love the dogs viewpoint commentary. I think most of us animal lovers imagine what the dogs are thinking/saying
Sherlock is such a precious, special little soul. Thank you for loving and taking such good care of him, and all of your beautiful dogs.
Will you breed Apple again given the challenges she and the pups had?
That's something to be decided down the line, but this problem doesn't necessarily rule it out.
Love watching them, they are so adorable❤❤❤❤❤
Sherlock is an excellent rep of his breed. I am quite smitten with his tiny features. He is heaven on earth. 😇 🥰 BLess his big heart.
Sherlock is a cutie pie! 🤩😍🌹
Sherlock is absolutely gorgeous. So glad he is doing well.
He so cute.
Love all the "baby talk"! Just like all of us when we talk with our puppers! Sherlock is growing so fast and already showing some personality. thank you for the update!
Have you ever been to Crufts in the UK Charlie? And what did you think?
Yes, and it puts Westminster to shame. Seeing 300 Cavaliers competing, finding the Best in Show out of 25,000 entries ... and the shopping!
Have fun Charlie! Sherlock will miss you too i think! ❤❤❤❤
I’m happy Sherlock is doing so well! Have as safe trip to North Carolina!
Sherlock es una monada y tan pequeñito y dulce y tus palabras de amor ,lo mejor😘😘
Hes so cute! ❤ i did have a couple questions - one you might use for ask the breeder- that is how best to train a pup to like/ tolerate a pet carrier . My dog is known to get anxious when he feels “covered up” i found out the hard way he hates crate covers . Second and I know you have done videos on this in the past but id love a “for dummies” version if you will for how to stack ur dog and show. Many handling classes have been less than helpful) snd i want to try to show my dog . I have tried to follow along with ur videos but hard to know if im doing it right. Thanks in advance ! Always appreciate ur videos and puppy reports
Cavalier never win their group .. I'm soooo familiar. I used to breed/show/rescue Chow chows. I can't remember ever seeing a chow win Non-sporting. There's just no way. I always liked it when anything but a standard poodle won non-sporting. I can't figure out how an actual sporting dog ended up in the "leftovers" group. Sherlock is so sweet. Love his vocalization . They always remind me of guinea pig squeaks at that age.
Ciao Charlie, Annarita dall'Italia contenta di vederti 🤩🤩🤩! Sherlock e sempre più bello!Ti auguro un buon viaggio e buon lavoro!Ti penso e prego per te!🤗😇
Thanks for the information.. My KC Will walk off the lead for 5 kilometres a day , impressive at 9 years old .
🤩
They are so adorable❤❤❤❤
I just love your videos so much. I look forward to them every day! 🐶💕🌺
What are the reasons why Cavaliers never win Best in Show? Safe travels.
Here are a few: Many of the Toy breeds are hard-stacked, i.e. the handler gets down on the ground and sets them up perfectly. Cavaliers should be free-stacked, which means that the dog has to set himself up properly to show a perfect profile. That makes it harder to present a nice outline to the judge in the lineup. Cavaliers are small companion dogs, but unlike most in the Toy Group they have a sporting background in their history. Their gait on the move is therefore straighter than the flashy movement of some Toy breeds, and needs to be more focused on extension from both the front and rear. Cavaliers are among the largest of the Toy breeds, and as a result their normal gait is faster than almost all of the others. This is a factor when the Group is gaited around the ring as a group - especially if the Cavalier is not in the front. Those are the first few factors that come to my mind, and I'm sure that other breed specialists will have their own take on the question.
Sherlock is a precious boy and it's so cute when he chews on your finger! He listens intently to your every word. Thank you for putting in so much hard word for this wonderful breed.
💙
How cute
I don't know about you, Charlie, but I'd be inclined to keep this beauty.
I want to get another cavalier. I already have a female. What would be the best combination, female or male? Do two girls fight for dominance?
As long as they are both spayed/neutered, you should have no problem either way. The older girl may challenge the newcomer, just because it's a newcomer, but they adjust pretty quickly.
Have a good time in North Carolina! Sherlock is a babe. 🥰🐕
adorable baby Sherlock
it's been a long hard month for your family - he looks so great - you're on the way to more rest in the near future love that puppy barking
SHERLOCK is so adorable. Appreciate all the helpful information you provide and update on Sherlock. Safe trip
Happy to hear that he is healing and he also sounds like a Cat purring LOL 😂 Love to Sherlock and and Hugs and many Blessings 💋🐶❤️🙏
We have a cavalier king Charles spaniel called Winston same colour. Beautiful dog I love him. Dogs are mans best freinds. Its sad they have such a short life span.
Those little sounds are so precious! Love to watch him focus on you. Cavaliers are so smart and loving. He’s clearly 100% CKCS! Thank you for the update. A video on Westminster would be very interesting. I have watched Westminster for decades and am always puzzled at why certain breeds are not chosen while others always seem to win their group and go on to best in show. The poodle showed very well. I liked the Afghan but had a feeling the poodle would win. That breed has won so many times!
Why? Don't them win?
Hi Charlie first of all safe travels.. Sherlock's sounds are heartwarming adorable.. Happy 1st Month Sweet Sherlock.. Your actions towards him are wonderful as well.. Have a great day and once again Safe Travels..
QUESTION; Is there a age when the dog are at their best? And are you a celebrity at these meeting because your on youtube? you are kinda a celebrity to me.
Thank you for this update - Sherlock is looking strong and healthy! It was fun to see you on the Westminster site filming Jamba being handled by your granddaughter. They both looked great, and I'm looking forwardto to your posted video footage.
Could you share with us why the Cavalier never places at Westminster? Thank you!
Hi Charlie - you mentioned in this video that there are many reasons that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels NOT only have NEVER won Best In Show at Westminster Dog Show BUT they have never won Best in their Toy Group. Can you share some reasons as to why? I've been lucky enough to have had two Cavaliers in my life, and I don't think I'm being biased when I say that they are one of the best, if not the best, dog breeds recognized by the AKC. I've never understood why they are consistently overlooked at the Westminster Dog Show. I'm not even sure why Cavalier owners, breeders, and handlers bother with this dog show. BTW, I think Sherlock is absolutely beautiful !! He is precious indeed!
Have a safe trip and get back to that precious little Sherlock and your cavalier family!
Sherlock is quite a survivor.
❤❤❤so sweet❤❤❤
There is nothing cuter than puppies learning to talk. I'm glad he's doing so well. Thank you so much for keeping us updated on the little guy.
