Hyper Cruiser Motorized Bike Bicycle PREDATOR 212cc
Testing my new home made disc brake. I do not, I repeat I DO NOT promote anyone to do a DIY disc brakes unless you know what you're doing. This set up I have can be dangerous especially during a panic stop causing the wheel to bow and twist or the left spokes can snap clean off and crash. I suggest getting the correct fork, wheels, and etc...This bike is NOT my daily transportation, its just something I only do for fun. Ride safe, wear your helmet, and watch out for cars!!!

Nothing special about this bike. Just an old motorized bike I had that's been sitting around for ages. The bike sounds like the rear sprocket is out of true or just plum worn out. These single jug cylinders engines likely to over heat and lose power. My attempt was trying to seize the motor but I guess that didn't happen. Good old used 5w30 motor oil.

@@Littleevil9975 this bike is my last build. had it for 2 years and loved it. i though i challenge my self on building one of these. on this bike frame i had to do some customizing and welding. that was the biggest issue. 2nd issue was money. but so far the struggle and hard work paid off at the end. better gas mileage, more power, no more mixing oil in fuel, no more clutching, no more fixing air leaks, no more roll starting, just pull the string and start and enjoy. the down fall on these build that these bike is BULKY and HEAVY. its a totally different animal.

Well, we see this is where we learn what we shouldn't do. No cover over your cvt and pants just inches away while wearing flip flops. As a person who's been riding on 2 wheel since I was 3. You are bound to become a statistic eventually.

I have the same arrangement and decided to leave the governor in place. It just goes as fast as it should with no suspension and low speed rated tires.
Not sure if you still have it, but how long does a belt last on the torque converter?
i can't really say because i don't really drive it as often. in my case i have a lot of stop and go traffic and see the wear and tear on the belt. im on my second belt. your situation may very. if you are going this route just bring you another belt along your trip. you don't wanna break down in the middle of no where without a belt. good luck and ride safe.

How long dis this bike last? Did the frame eventually brake? Would you recomend someone else doing this exact build? I currently have rhe same bike with a bbr v2 80/100cc, but i much prefer the idea of a 212 and a torquelatorverter
So far I still have it. To be honest i wouldn't recommend this bike for a 212 setup. the frame are too thin and possibly snap.

Its pretty wild i found this video because im building a motorized bike and i got a granite peak from a dumpster lol. How did the build go? Is there anything i need to know that would help me out?
If it's your first time it may take a while to figure things out and put it together. The biggest issue is getting the engine and rear sprocket to line up. The rear sprocket must be recess dead center to the wheel. The engine has to line up cooperate to the rear sprocket therefore decreasing the chance drive chain rubbing against the wheel or the bike frame. Make sure you have a helmet and good brakes. 30+ mph is no joke when it comes to stopping. Good luck and thanks for watching

it looks like your bike never revs high enough to engage the cvt. you might want to up size your rear sprocket.
It's because the governor engaged. No need to be ridding at high rpm. This thing top out at 47mph I don't want to go any faster then that...not on a bicycle frame.
I am waiting on my torque converter and I have my motor installed on a beach cruiser but the motor is lined up dead center with the bike and im concerned the drive sprocket is going to be too far off to the side to line up with my rear sprocket. Any suggestions?
If your bike has an installation kit design for the 212 with the cvt torque converter than everything should line up right. if not, i suggest you wait until you install the torque converter onto the engine than reinstall the whole thing onto the bike then go from there. that way you have some where to go by and make any changes and adjustment on your drive chain. i hope this helps and good luck on your build.
Looks like it's geared really high. Great for the road. From what I see, you need to check alignment of the drive pulleys because it will wear out belts fast. I see belt dust on the backing plate.
So far it's wearing out normally. It's not misaligned it's normal wear and tear. It still have the original belt that came with it and still pull and grips, and bites like it was new.
Oh good. I just finished mine and was hoping it would last awhile.

You Musta cut the center bar out if you’re using a hyper cruiser that’s what I’m using a hyper beach cruiser that I stretched 1 foot

What gears you running I’m running 10t/56t 212cc need bigger sprocket with tc I’m doing 65mph + with predator just governor, delete 18 pound springs and billet flywheel and straight pipe with VM 22 carburetor. Are used to run a 10 to 4twos on Mike to 12 but I was informed to try a bigger sprocket and it I was a big difference.
It doesn't have any gears. I run what ever the CVT torque converter comes with. But I do run a 36 tooth rear sprocket topping out at 47mph with the governor still intact. Everything on the engine is stock from the factory but expect the exhaust. I don't think I want to go that fast especially on a bicycle frame. I feel much safe cruising below 40. I’m also using a torque converter it has a 10t gear. What I was saying is the torque converter with a 212cc like the bigger sprocket in the rear try a 56t on the rear. You’re engine will run better and will be a lot faster. Than with the 36t it’s totally different then a 2stroke that like the smaller sprocket like the 36t
@@mbrrideitlikeyoustoleit8436 from my experience the larger your rear sprocket the more torque at the pickup speed but will decrease top speed. The smaller the rear sprocket the more speed you'll gain but decrease low end torque.
You are a 💯right with a 2stroke you want a small sprocket for more top speed. I thought the same thing someone told me to try a 56t with my 212cc and I thought he was crazy but he was 💯right I’m going 60mph with a 56t rear sprocket and could go faster but don’t have the balls. I used to run a 40t on the rear with my 212cc. Hey cool bike either way. But try the big sprocket you will be very impressed.
The duro max 713cc or 999cc what do you think ? How fast would those go ?
Wouldn't fit on a beach cruiser or gas bike without a fair bit of modifications to the frame

Would one of these work well on a 79cc with no governor and not rob the power?
I'm not sure but it can be done. I see some videos on here actually made it work. This 30 series CVT clutch driver pully only accept 3/4" shaft which the 212 has. The 79cc has a 5/8" shaft so you'll going to need a spacer to fill in the gap. I'm not sure how well the key and spacer gonna hold up. They also have centrifugal clutch drive system for these 79cc. I would go that route. If space and weight isn't a issue I'll stick with the 212. That's just my personal option.
Do you need to register it even though it has pedals that work because if the pedals are working it's still a bicycle

Yes that's the one. It was on sale for 70 dollars when I got it.

@@bestvideogamer4560 it wouldn't fit. I had to do some modification to make it work. It was an trial and error but at the end it was well worth it.

if you are ever so inclined, I'd love to see a walk thorough on what you did to this here roadmaster. Specifically, the chain tension avoiding the back of the frame and the carburetor. Good job! Now I know it can be done on this bike.
It's dangerous if your running w aluminum rims. Steel is the way to go and shocks in the front.
Now that is the kid of bike I love to ride. Hope I must get a motorcycle helmet.

At this point why don't you just buy a motorcycle? I don't know what state you're in but in my state you don't have to insure a motorcycle. So get yourself a small displacement bike, which will be dirt cheap because everybody wants big displacement. And ride a real motorcycle. It's going to be safer in every way possible. You're going to have more tire more brake and if you want it more speed for sure
this bicycle is an eye candy neck breaker. i get stop every time and get question where did i got it from LOL. this video was made for my viewers that it's possible to motorized a bicycle with a 212 power plant. this is not my daily transportation, this project was made for the fun of it. and no i don't want a heavy motorcycle where i can't ride in areas where motorcycle forbids to go and never tend to get one. when shit hits the fan all i want is a bicycle that can keep up with traffic. thanks for watching!!!

i don't know how much it'll burn to a tank of gas but what i do know it only burns about 1/4 of gas @ 17 mile trip with a 32t rear sprocket. i don't drive it long enough to know the actual fuel milage. there's no modification done on the engine, still have the factory air filter box. only thing i done on the engine i had the muffler removed and ran a straight pipe. thanks for watching!!!!

You should always go counterclockwise. When you were installing the tire, you reverse Direction. That is incorrect. Yes, you made it, but when you get into stiffer sidewall tires that won't work.

Nice, that thing purrs like a kitten. I bet your ride is smooth AF. I have a 136cc with a death row TC. I need a custom vertical mount so i can fit it in my felt faker gas frame. Ill also have to have an intake and exhaust header custom made. Wish i had it all together, but winter is here now and ill have to wait anyways. Thanks for the video 🙂
It took me a while to figure out the differences between this and a geared motor cycle. The motor doesn't help slow the bike down, or does it?
theres a shitload of chain resistance in most of these builds, could be why hes slowing down like that

I did this with my 22 phatmoto rover, but with heavy head work, billet flywheel, .265 hot cam, and a 22mm mikuni carb. Don't build the engine this much, the front wheel wont stay down no matter what under more than 1/4 throttle. It jumps off the line like a dirt bike and pulls all the way to 70mph. I love the way it rides, and still gets 55mpg even when I ride it hard. I wouldn't use this big of a cam again because it is too much torque for daily riding.
55 mpg sounds really low, do you lose that much mpg with the bigger engine? I have a 49cc and get about 100 mpg.
@@mikhailjairnisbett441 well, if you think about it, a 212cc engine that makes 16hp, yes its gonna use more fuel than a 49cc that makes 2hp, technically its more efficernt because its 8x more power and only 2x the fuel consumption... also note that my bike has wide tires, double the weight of a regular bike, and I am not easy on the throttle, my average speed is 45mph and top speed is around 75mph.
