I second the opinion on Mobile Techs. We have had fantastic luck in difficult places (including a slide stuck open in our previous 5th wheel) that we always would recommend them. They were friendly, knowledgeable and worked with us, even recommending someone who could aluminum weld our slide to get it fixed instead of promising something that they didn't feel quite qualified to fix.

Thanks for posting. Hubby and I are close to being on the road. I understand your "whys". My mom kept waiting for retirement. Hated her job and couldn't wait. She finally got there and got the chance and she got cancer. She passed away at 63. I'm 57. I don't want to do that. I've worked hard to pay off debt and get things in the right place and all of that is to clear the way to do what we've always wanted to do. I'm trying not to miss my chance. See you on the road. 😁

Thank you for your honesty. I've been watching a lot of RV videos, and few are as honest & open about the real RV life. We will be weekend warriors until my husband retires, and we hope to spend more in RV life. Please keep going so I can discuss & think about things I may not think about. ❤

We are planning for August 2026. Seems so far away at the time but i know it will go by so quick. We are watching. Reading, and just researching as much as we can. We camp in a popup rn whenever we get a chance.

Just FYI, about that app you recommended, there is now an Android version of it, not sure if it's the exact same as the Apple version or not, but there is one available on Android now, I just downloaded it and it works pretty well.

I wouldn't care about RVs in truck stops if there were 10 spots for every truck instead of 10 trucks for every spot. On the interstate RVs are often in the way, but we can get around you. It's the 2-lanes driving 10 to 20 under the speed limit. It's a challenge to pass, and while the RV is just enjoying the sites you're screwing with our clocks. I say this last summer, and to be honest, if they didn't get messed with, I'd be shocked. The back into a truck stop, and pulled all the slides out, taking up two spots. Then they dropped the camper and parked their pickup in a 3rd spot. 30 years ago, that would have guaranteed cut valve stems.

Im full-time RVer from AZ for 2 years now. For us its totally worth it. We have learned so much about ourselves and still learning. Its so true about figuring it out. Love the life.... we always say, its not an easy life but for us its a simple life.

Being a truck driver for 3/4 of my life RV is the last thing on my mind 😂😂 And like the truck drivers stop taking a break in the fuel island. Do your log somewhere else? Driver.

Due to the limited parking ...please don't take-up truck parking spots. We can't drive any further down the road because of log book limits. Plus ..the way some drivers drive and back up do you really want to put your rig in arms way?

Gooood video guys!!! Man ohhh man, you guys made me tired looking at ALL the stuff you have to put up for a travel day!!! We FT in TH too and have a lot of the same stuff, minus the boat and motor. Just sold my bass boat 3 months ago - yeahhhhh!!! You guys gotta get that beefed up hitch on the coach for your e-bikes…gamechanger!!! The only caveat is it makes the coach about 3 foot longer, so you’ll guys have a 47ish foot TH. 👍😃🍻

Always do a tug test. It only takes 1 time not doing it, dropping your trailer, and you'll learn. I had a someone pull my kingpin as a "joke", and I ended dropping my trailer. Thankfully it was my military trailer (no damage happened) and not my RV!

What a great setup. Alliance has one of the nicest Toy Hauler setups and your mods have made it very versatile while still being homey. Very useful information. All the best!

So im hoping to get to full time rving by the time i retire but depending on how my money flows over the next few years is how soon im going to retire/semi retire. Like i would be ok doing customer service or something from home but right now its a distant dream but im working towards it asap

Man, the river ride looked awesome! I did white water rafting one time in the Nolichucky River the flowed from North Carolina to Eastern Tennessee, and I had a blast and always wanted to go do it. I just haven't yet. It looks like you ran into another CZcams channel I watch, Irene Irons. They seem like a nice couple. I've never commented on their channel. I definitely want to go to Arches, and I'm slowly but surely getting in better shape to hike these awesome places you both are visiting. You both take care and travel safely. Sorry, back to the bike rack. The standard hitch on the back of the RV isnt strong enough to hold the bikes and rack? Since I am buying the 42v13 next month that concerns me. Cause I love your bikes too. And I want a whole episode on the BOAT!! Im a fisherman too! For the lights on the back, for now use reflective tape all the way around. It will glow at night, and no one will know what you are and slow down until they figure it out LOL

Good video. We were attracted due to the fact that we just decided on an Alliance toy hauler as well and are building our accessories list which includes the Garmin that you talk about.. A couple of questions for you if you don't mind. On your truck, it looked like you have the BAK Revolver X2 Tonneau Cover, and maybe even the WeatherTech Mud Flaps. I've always wondered about how full-time Rvers, especially women, deal with getting their hair done when you can't regularly go to the same stylist who knows your hair and to get regular trims to keep your hair healthier. I chopped my hair off a year ago and am trying to grow it back out to the length in my profile pic, and I go every 12 weeks for color and cut (not ready to embrace the gray). My stylist knows my hair like the back of her hand...my hair is thick and naturally very wavy (I brush it straight while blow drying when it isn't super short like now).

Darlene & Barry, I appreciate your honesty about Full-Time RVing. I think Barry is " a somewhat muted type of a person ", and Darlene serves to counterbalance his " delayed reactionary responses ". I'm sure there is medical condition lurking there in the woodwork ( if you can afford to contract out to a doctor for a diagnosis ). Great video. I'm ex-military and that's been the extent of anything that smells like "RV-life"...mostly just tent-life. But, I've driven some large machines, towed some large equipment, and I am certainly used to the unexpected. I'll never be a CZcams'er...I'm just not socially inclined enough, but I do expect the need for a mobile office. Your setups are great so I expect I'll be binging your videos to get some insight into desk-anchoring and such. I appreciate you folks, cheers.

A single bad experience can affect you. I was pulling a travel trailer across the country, and we stopped at a rest area for a break during the middle of the day. So happens to be a truck at that stop hauling a wind turbin blade. At the time, I thought it was the coolest thing to be up close and personal. I never walked up to the truck, nor did I walk around it. Just looked at it where I was parked. A driver from another truck, parked next to the wind turbin truck, got out and yelled, "What the f#&k you looking at? You got a problem?". I was dumbfounded, I didn't know what to say.

Attentive

Yes, to the letting go of our work/volunteer/hobbies etc. Having those things of the past that gave us our identity- is a big deal. But it gives us as couples a new vista view and a new way of being together without all the things that distract. It is kind of like falling in love again with the person we first fell in love with. Just us and being a bit self focused for the first time in 35 years. Putting each other first again. And navigating that has a learning curve that is so worth it. We literally have served hundreds of meals and changed hundreds of sets of sheets in our home - most of our married life. Hospitality and generosity is important to us. We also have friends all over the nation because of it. It is interesting to be thinking of our we-ness/us-ness and learning to have each other be the main priority and focus. It is living in Wonderland and hard can be good. It isn't not ever having problems but it is dealing with problems in a healthy way and forgiving and apologizing and getting right again. Life is NOT all rose colored glasses and being real and having a life style be worth it is the point. Well said!!!!!! Love your wisdom! Thanks for being honest and real! What you are sharing is so valuable. You are an asset in this community!

Good morning from Kentucky, My wife Jo-Ann and I were Full Time RVing for just over 2 1/2 yrs. Although we had some great times Full Time RVing, and met some great friends along the way, there were also a lot of bad times as well, mostly from bad campers who purchased RV's, but never took the time to learn any camping etiquette. I had a serious health issue, and we were over 2hrs from any hospital who could deal with it. (I've had 4 stomach surgeries already) Luckly it sorted itself out that time. We had to deal with some really sketchy people in National Forest where there was no cell service. Going through Kanab, Utah the engine blew in our pickup truck, and cost us $8,000 to have a new engine put in. We had our share of ups and downs, but we're glad we got to experience Full Time RVing, and we're glad for the friends we made while on the road. After 2 1/2 years, we had enough of full timing. So, we sold our travel trailer and bought a small 2-bedroom home in Barren County, KY. We feel more comfortable and relaxed in our sticks & bricks home now, than when we lived in our RV. RVing was fun, but it's nowhere near as easy or as glamorous as some CZcamsrs make it out to be. Have a Fun, Safe & Blessed 4th of July weekend guys. JT

I have a good sized rv. Other than getting fuel don't spend much time at truck stops. On the road I do my best to give trucks all the room they need. Most truckers seem to show courtesy towards me. Sometimes it seems if you give them courtesy I usually rather run on the highway with trucks than cars. Even tho I'm not a semi they realize I'm pretty good size and need room as well.
