I travel full time and "entire" budget is $2000 / mo. and travel to all the amazing places.
That’s amazing.
Do you make your own fuel?
J@@waynepovilaitis2305😂😂😂 yeah just pee in the tank.
Everyone lives this lifestyle differently, so it's hard to compare expenses between FTers. We are old and retired, so I'm sure we eat less as we're more sedentary now. But that said, our grocery budget is about 1/3rd of yours, though we eat out a couple times a week on average, spending almost as much as we spend on groceries. We don't buy organic or gluten free anything, and we make it a game to shop for sales at Walmart and such. We eat a lot of rice, buying it by the 50lb bag, as this is out staple, saving us a ton vs $3-$5 a loaf bread, pastries and such. To be fair though, the West Coast can be spendy for both food and fuel, which is why we avoid California if we can. Sadly, we still have family and friends in Ventura and visits ain't cheap.
You're absolutely right in that fuel is a controllable expense. Just travel less and burn less. Like you guys, we move about every 2 weeks for most of the year and usually winter over in one place. We have a 1999 National Tropical Class A gasser that we drive about 6,000 miles a year and a 30+ mpg toad so average around $3,500-$4,000/yr in gas for both. Propane cost us about $350 last year, but we'll be using less this year since we installed our 5,000w solar system and high-efficiency heat pump. We now both heat and cool 24/7 with the sun. It will also cut our generator fuel to practically nothing, as now we just exercise it once a month.
We boondock most of the time, which keeps our RV site cost down to practically nothing. Solar really makes a difference, doesn't it? We're in NC now, visiting family where there's very little boondocking. However, we found an RV park that is letting us stay in the back of the park without hook-ups for only $100/mo., including water, dump and trash disposal. This is saving us $500/mo. off their regular rate. I haven't tracked it accurately, but I'm certain our campground, RV park, dump fees, laundry, etc. cost us under $1,400 last year.
We are domiciled in Louisiana where the insurance is high, but registration low. The insurance on our 1999 Coach and 2006 Chevy Cobalt toad runs about $1,000/yr. for both. Add another $109/yr. for our Escapee Roadside Assistance plan. Registration only costs $80 every 2 years for both MH and toad. We have a cheap $27/mo. cell phone plan, Our mailing service costs $120/yr. + postage and our internet access through FMCA is $65/mo. Repairs and maintenance are roughly the same as you spend, but we had a one-time expense this year for our huge solar system expansion that cost us about $6,500, plus another $1,500 for our EG-4 mini split heat pump. We already had about $3,500 in solar/batteries but they have already paid for themselves many times over considering the amount of boondocking we do. Our new expanded system allows us to boondock even more in superior comfort, just like we are plugged into a power pedestal at an RV park. It also allows us more flexibility in the places and seasons we can stay.
I guess the bottom line is that we live this FT lifestyle traveling and living as we please for 1/3rd of what it used to cost us to live in our old S&B home.
I love hearing all of this. It’s so cool to see and hear how others do it. Thanks for sharing. Really appreciate it.
Your grocery expenses are realistic and much more representative of most full-time RVers.
Amazing.
Resorts/Campgrounds sound horrible. I've done lots of them. It's State or Federal Parks all the way! 10 times nicer, usually quite cheaper. Much more private, quiet, close to natural amenities and activities.
We agree. Now that we know how to manage our water and tanks, partial hookups at STate Campgrounds are wht we have been doing recently. We can't usually fit most national parks, so we usually boondock near those. Although not in the summer. Too hot. lol We don't have a regular campground planned for months. So different than when we started. Ya live and learn.
Thank you for calculating the majority of expenses. You are being very realistic with budgeting.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching.
Great video. Lots of good information and wonderful reality check for those that may be looking at going full time. Keep up the good work and safe travels.
Thanks so much. We were a little nervous about this one. lol
Great job, Darlene, on crunching the numbers on your '23 expenses. Learned a lot, especially about the availible Apps.

We are exploring the idea of becoming FT rv living. We are about two years out from being ready, so I’m beginning my research!
I just came across y’all’s channel today and I find your videos so helpful and insightful to new or potentially new rvers!
Wow! Thanks so much for saying that. We truly appreciate you watching and giving feedback. We are developing a going full time course, or at least a pdf of info. What are your biggest questions/concerns?
We are also just beginning our research. We are about 7 years from being able to be full time, but maybe 2 years from being able to get the rig and enjoy it on holiday and summers.
@@liketheresnotomorrowhonestly if you could condense what you share in the videos to a pdf by topic that would be so helpful. Expenses, expectations vs. reality in the first year, do’s and don’ts, maintenance and repair tips, how to cut corners on costs, etc. Thank yall! ❤
This was very interesting and informative. We also detail all of our expenses. It’s shocking to see how our money is spent when I run monthly/annual reports. I would bargain that anyone criticizing your expenses probably does not detail their expenses and does not have a clue. Great video.
Thanks for the feedback, it certainly wasn’t a comfortable video to make but the positive feedback has been worth it. Appreciate you watching.
Thank you for all your time and hard work putting that together! It was a real eye opener.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for all the research time you spent on this. It is a great video and loved the info!
Glad it was helpful!
One of the best expenses recap video’s out there, Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video and thank you for putting all this information together. You gave everyone some useful information. Have fun and safe travels.
Thanks for watching!
I've been collecting these types of videos for several years. We're looking to retire early and hit the road full time in about 2 years to make up for all those vacations we never got to take. It's great to see how the expenses change and contrast between RVing styles - especially year to year for the same people as they learn new things and go from newbies to old hands. Thanks for taking the time to give us new data points!
How smart tracking the different channels and videos.
I'm glad you guys decided to try boondocking and state parks. 👍
Thank you for this budget. It really helped me a lot! I appreciate your kindness in sharing your lives with us!
You are so welcome! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thanks for sharing your numbers. Very helpful as we are in the. We use the T-Mobile tower too. I agree that HH is about the experience becasue we almost always spend more money than if we would have booked a campsite! Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley
Hi guys. Thanks for watching. T-Mobile for the win.
Those costs are pretty brutal, no wonder the van and rv'ers hare moving to off grid life these days.
For sure. If you can handle that small, or can invest in solar ability, you can cut it significantly. Although, it’s not for everyone. lol
This was an excellent video! Thank you for sharing your budget! This was such an informative and enlightening video!
You are so welcome!
1st x viewer new subscriber!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the sub! And welcome
Great stuff guys, thanks for sharing!

Great video, thank you for your insight!

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Really nice overview. Thank you. I just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for the sub! We try to release new videos every Thursday evening.
Thank you. Great Vid
Glad you liked it!
Wow Darlene!! That was an incredible amount of great information and I can only imagine how long it took you to pull it all together and organize it into this format for all of us. Thank you!! I've often wondered what the total cost was of living this type of lifestyle. I had neighbors that had a large touring RV that they took on the road and towed their Jeep behind once they would get set up but it seemed like they were taking their rig in for repairs constantly. Kudos to you for sharing all this with us. Be safe as you continue your journey!
Awe thanks Wes.
Great info. Thank you
Big thank you! We just save 60% on our Waggle monitor thanks to your link! We are in the process of planning to RV full time in the near future and we’re so excited! Love your channel- we are learning so much from you guys!
Our pleasure and yay!
I love that you took the time to share your expenses And showed how it could be reduced! As a retired Exec I know how much time it takes to track expenses, bucket all of them, whether your using Excel or Quicken, it’s still a lot of time. So, thank you for doing all this work!! ❤ we’re not full time yet but in a couple of years & I’m trying to setup realistic budgets, double checking things & understanding costs we don’t have today like the mail is critical. We won’t be working so those retirement savings have to be carefully planned! All the best!!
Awe thank you. Glad it was helpful.
Y’all are great! Thank you!
Our pleasure! Thx for watching
Another great video! I really like your channel because I have the same model as you so I can definitely relate and learn from your experiences.
And mistakes… lol
@@liketheresnotomorrow I make mistakes all the time!
Great video! Thank you for sharing. Hope to meet you at the Alliance rally next month!
We’ll be there!
I just found your channel and LOVE the realness of you guys. I've been binge watching your vids lol. Not quite ready to go full time but am starting to get my ducks in a row. I'm a virtual bookkeeper so I can work anywhere I get internet.
Awesome! Thank you! We have a video coming out tonight (every Thursday actually) where we details the steps of transitioning to full time from your home. Should be a good one. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing!
I think your oop is quite reasonable, after you learned the ropes, it us beyond my financial capabilities lol but you live like i wish i could....i like quality foods and restaurants as well. No judging here!
Spend your money EXACTLY how you want! Its your money! You're on the right track in that you both want to LIVE life not just make it through life. I'm real proud y'all can enjoy your lives!
Happy RVing!!
Be safe out there!
Thanks for sharing your numbers 😊
No problem 👍 thanks for watching and subscribing
Thank you for the info!
Any time!
Thank you for all the helpful info. We are getting exited to see y’all on the road. We are close to retirement and putting our Rig together right now. Mo & Glo from Texas.
Best of luck! Keep in touch. I’m sure we’ll see you out there.
Thanks for your info, I always like to see where we fall with our spending. We have been full time for 2 years. We have about the same categories, last year we spent $25,660. ytd, so an average of $2140. per month. And like you I didn't add everything in,.... but for 2024 I'm going to put in every single penny we spend, gift, donate etc. And REALLY see our numbers. First time watching you. Safe travels.
Maryann
It’s eye opening but is really helpful to see where you can cut back or change
Lots of info, gave you a subscribe Thank You
Thanks for the sub!
Thank you for sharing, it made us look at our budget while we’re still in sticks/bricks. Been thinking about RVing for the past couple of years. Don’t know if we want to do full time or part time or weekends only. Your video has open our eyes and mind. Thank you 💙🤍
Glad it was helpful! Be sure to checkout the follow up video where we show how we cut our expenses 63%
Thank you so much for sharing. We are in the process to sell everything and start RV living. I like your information the best then any other
Our pleasure! Glad it’s been helpful
Thanks for all your research into your numbers. The Bride and I plan to depart on our full time adventure in September of 2025. We have some debt to pay down before then to keep our overhead down. We really love your channel!
Awesome! We have some great getting started full time stuff coming. Stay tuned! Thanks for the sub!
As my husband and I plan to leave for full-time RV life where he retires and I still work remote this was very helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! We are working on a. Part 2 with more job ideas. Stay tuned.
@@liketheresnotomorrow I currently work in healthcare remotely and am continuing for my BA in marketing. Working hard to land a remote job in marketing. Was pleasantly surprised to hear that’s what you guys do! Gives me hope 😆 thank you for the great content!
Nice job guys thanks for being honest. Breweries are going to kill my budget lol
I feel like we need a brewery category all on its own. lol
Hell😅, we are new subscribers. We also watch Happily Ever Hanks, they talked about doing your domicile paperwork thru south Dakota or a better state which is much cheaper with insurance and is a low tax state as well. I will try to find it for you guys. We love your videos, your EXACTLY like my husband and I, 2 daughters, youngest just went to college in Boston and I'm pushing him to sell the house and buy a super c or 5th wheel and do what you're doing. He can work from home, has been for 3+yrs. We are so happy we found your channel.
Thanks so much. I have seen the Hanks video but it’s not an easy switch. Plus, there has been quite a bit of resistance with the state of SD about allowing the domicile. I need to research it more. I also wonder how Texas would be. That’s the other option through Escapees. Thanks for watching and subscribing. We really do appreciate it.
I💜 you guys. It’s great that you use waggle for your doggie’s safety. I had an alarm system solely for my dogs’ protection, especially from fire, in 2 houses. I thought I was the only one-lol.
You are definitely not alone in the worry about the pets area. lol thanks for watching!
love your channel
Awe thank you! Appreciate you watching.
Hi Guys new sub.. thanks for all your time and effort.. Great info.. I'll be watching..! Safe travels.. JRA
Thanks so much. We appreciate the support!
Thank you so much for addressing the costs associated with accommodating a Celiac friendly diet. It’s something that no one takes into account with budgeting. I am feel for you about being sick of finding that salad is your only option at many restaurants, where you usually have to bring your own dressing to be safe.
It's refreshing to see more dual income working professionals who RV. I feel like most videos out there are for people with one income or who influence as a primary income and the experience is different.
Thanks for saying that. We felt that way as well. It reallyy is different. Although, creating content and doing the channel thing full-time is way more work than a regular job. lol I am feeling it BIG TIME trying to do both. Thanks so much for watching. Appreciate the support.
I'm also the trip planner and the financial guru of the house. We aren't full-time, but will go for a week somewhere every few months...usually within two hours. We have a 2022 gas Ram 2500 that pulls our 26-foot (tip to tail) couple's camper, so we use my GasBuddy card for discounts. I plan the gas stops and also where to get groceries near our destination. We stay mainly at state parks and COE-type campgrounds (all have had full hookups for less than $40 a night), and sometimes an RV resort for a nice treat.
On another subject, I love your red glasses! New glasses next month for me and would love to find similar ones. Those are so flattening!
Awe thanks. Believe it or not I got them at Costco! Thanks for watching. I sometimes use GasBuddy too. Great app
I have one suggestion. I loved this Video, it is eye opening! We have RV'd vacation life for a long, long time. But going full time in the next few months, as soon as our house sells (on the market as of today!) Do a video of... I just bought an RV to go full time, what do I do now? How do I set up my internet, what do I buy NOW, ect... That would be a cool one and I would know what the heck I am going to do LOL
We are working on a get started video. It’s coming!
I love these budget recaps from RVers, and you did not disappoint. Excellent information - of course, unique to your lives - and it's always great to hear your year over year comparisons.
Yea, we’ve cut expenses so much in 2024. Mainly because we switched to boondocking or partial hookups so much more. It’ll be really interesting to show the 2023 vs 2024 next year. Thanks for watching
@@liketheresnotomorrow You are welcome!
Great info! Thanks for sharing. It will be interesting to see how much you guys are able to boondock to cut those expenses. We save when boondocking on food by eating out less like you guys.
Right now, we plan on boondocking most of Sept-March (possibly April depending on our route). We shall see
I think it's great that you can travel while you work and enjoy life while you're still young. Staying active is so important as you age.
Absolutely!! Why wait if you don’t have to. Thanks for watching
Good Video. I have a Super C in Cali and pay $1400 a year but don’t full time yet. I’m budgeting 6k a month. Worked to hard to retire and not enjoy life.
Doooo it. See it all and enjoy it all.
Nice great job
Thanks for watching.
whew whew picking up rig Saturday!
Yeeesss! How exciting.
Going to the winery’s
I boondock almost all the time and move about every two weeks. I’m spending the majority of my spring and summer in one state. In my class C my fuel cost was very similar to yours -I traveled 26 states in 2023.
Insurance is interesting. As a full timer in a Class C, I pay about $1300 a year.
What’s your domicile state?
I definitely hear what you saying but my entire family household is 2500 or less than includes my rent. My utilities are groceries for a family of four even including pets and things of that but I have no vehicle very minimal outside expenses, but like you said to each is their own and budgets are different. 17:38 17:43 17:50
The home Verizon home network is great
Thanks for sharing this info! I'd love to know what your saving was using the TSD card.
Working on that. I was surprised that the app doesn’t track your overall savings. I have to go back and calculate it. It was a pretty good amount. We plan a gas savings video soon. Stay tuned
We are about to embark on our FT travels! Thanks for the transparent info!
Our pleasure! Let us know how else we can help. The first 3 months are the toughest... then you get the swing of things and all the kinks worked out (for the most part...lol)
Set up a live stream!! Id love to talk with your listeners. Full time rv nomad est Jan 2019. Solo empty nester.
Your annual total divided by 12 is about the same as us in our sticks and bricks. Thats not bad! I plan on going full time in about 3 to 5 years. Im still working on hubby 😂
I really think he'd love it.
And that was our 2023 number. Already in 2024 we have reduced even more because we are staying in more state parks and boondocking. So you have options.
A general consensus amongfull-timers seems to be 2 weeks - it's a Goldilocks kinda period for visiting the local spots and conserving fuel.
For sure. 2 weeks is our sweet spot. Three is it’s an epic location.
PA, Class A rig, 170 bucks/Month insurance
Our rv spots average around 500-1000 a month but that’s mainly cause we stay in a place for usually a month at a time. We fulltime travel for my husbands work and we stay at blue collar rv parks (pretty much there for the hook ups and possible onsite laundry) that are close to his work sites.
Good to know what the cost is for that option. Thanks for sharing (and watching)
Totally get it. There are many channels out there. I bet there’s a good one for you. Happy trails.
Grt video. Can you please advise more on the Tmobile internet plan?
@doughoopes6042 Here's a great article on what's happening. czcams.com/users/livekXG-gJixMts
Basically, many of us were using the Tmobile Home Internet and just moving it around with us as we travel. It's not been an issue and worked great BUT they just announced that they will no longer allow it and that we whould have to upgrade to their new mobile plan and device. It's way too expensive in addition to startlink. It was $50/mo, now they want $160/mo (i think). We'll just go back to using Starlink. Not sure what we'll do for back up. We had been using a Verizon hotspot but we maxed the data out pretty fast. We'll report back when we get it figured out. For now, we'll just use the tmobile home until they shut us off. lol
California
2020 Ram 3500 registration $600 (I have a permanent mounted camper shell giving me nearly a 50% lower registration) while insurance is $2k a year (had a accident with trailer that was attached to the truck, so the insurance went up on the truck not the trailer)
2022 Airstream registration $900 and insurance is $700 a year. Trailers are cheap to insure AAA.
I pay $4200 a year for covered storage. So that’s an expense that could be cancelled if permanent.
Diesel is $5/gal average here.
I do my own oil changes, 3 gals oil and filter and switched to CAT fuel filter adapters so that’s $160ish which for a diesel is cheap. But my aisin trans requires fluid change 30k intervals that’s another $100 easy. $400 at the dealer. Oil change would be the same.
We eat like you plus I eat 14 steaks a week on carnivore so that’s $900 just in meat for myself. Plus butcher box $400 a month. I like KOA but they have been averaging more like $70-90 a night for pull through 50amp. I have tds fuel card too but tend to hit ONE9 and PilotJ which allow credit cards in the truck lanes, whereas Loves only allows fuel cards. So I hit both. Not a full timer. But did 4k mi 2022, 8k miles last year and will do about 12k miles this year. So we travel far when we take trips. Great video thanks so much.
Thanks so much for your info. I had no idea about the Pilot and One credit card options. Good to know.
Great Job on this!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
We have starlink. You can pause and start if you are on the RV plan. That way you don't pay while you're not using it. This may not have been a feature when you first got it
We are actually grandfathered in on the original "with portability plan". They don't offer it anymore. We pretty much use it year-round, so I wouldn't want a pause. Especially now that the Tmobile option we were using is being taken away. We just found out. 😒 So, it's back to Starlink. Thank goodness we have that!
Yeah, I’m lazy, but an attached spreadsheet would have been great
We are getting ready to release our spreadsheet and launch our website. Stay tuned. Should be in Thursdays video
Mudflap will Too& they give A bigger discounts.
Look into Mudflap also
Adding it to the list for sure. Thank you
Hi new to you and ❤you both! Weigh stations do we have to do them? Haven’t checked out all your videos yet, but very intrigued about solar and boondocking ? Anyone ever put a deep freeze on their camper? Could that be a custom add on? We usually have a 1/2 🐄 and 🦌 processed. Thank you in advance for any assistance. When we go full time we’ll have to meet up 😁
Welcome! You don't have to do weigh stations, but you should weigh yourself before you get going and be sure your have proper weight for your tow vehicle. Basically make sure you're not over weight in general. We also try and balance the weight throughout the rig. We had to shed weight early on because we had a little too much at the pin and on the truck. We did this at an Xscapers Rally event, but you can do it yourself at a Cat Scale.
I have never heard of a deep freeze in a rig. Seems like it wouldn't be able to handle that much draw and it would be very heavy.
I Love you guys… the way you live us amazing. I wouldn’t reduce anyyhing because you are living the Life you like. That”s you working for. Live the Life as if were the lady dar in the World. Congrats.
Thanks so much, appreciate your support.
I’ve decided y’all spend a lot of money 😂
I like the 38-39000 a year better. If I didn’t have to wait to get my wife’s pension, I could do the big number but I’d prefer not to 😂. Boondocking is the way to go I’m setting our Rv up for it. I’m pretty good now but I’m looking to upgrade the older stuff. Nice video 👍🏼
Go back and watch our boondocking video. Might help. Thanks for watching.
Excellent video thanks! Re your T-mobile plan, didn't that change just recently, if yes, are you still using T-mobile?
Yes, since this video was released T-Mobile announced a new portable plan (like Starlink) and that they will not allow the home unit to travel any longer… however they haven’t done it yet. Their new plan is more than Starlink, so we’ll probably drop T-Mobile if they shut us off.
U guys ain't far off from me.. I'm a single guy and I spend around 60k.. So 2 people my numbers would be the same..
Good to know. Thanks for watching
How much did you invest in solar and what does that allow you to do? Could you run dual work monitors and have the comforts of a home office?
$14k total. If you install it yourself, probably 8-9k. We have 1520 watts solar on roof and 800amp hours in batteries. We can run just about everything we need assuming full sun. So 2 computers, 4 monitors, Starlink or T-Mobile, all energy needs basically. We couldn’t run all ac’s or anything but maybe one for a while. We have a generator to top off at night if we need it. Or if no sun.
What about filling up your RV gas tanks? I struggle to find places where I feel comfortable to pull in and fill up.
Yea, when we had an onboard generator we did have some challenges filling it (we switched to propane mostly). Look on google maps at larger stations. Sometimes we have found ones that we can get into an outside lane and still get back out. It’s challenging.
@@liketheresnotomorrow my Valor didn’t come with a generator because I got the solar plus package so I ended up buying the new generator they are installing and put it in myself. I absolutely love it but plan on adding more solar when I grow up and start camping more.
@ThatTruck has Deff
Truck map is a great navigation for free.
Thank you! Finally someone acknowledging that Harvest Host is not a savings, but an experience. Most YT RVers say you can save so much $$, but really with the $30 'expected' purchase is not necessarily a 'savings'. As for Elks... hard to become a member if you don't know anyone who is or are not in a set location. Thanks for sharing. (So glad my expenses are not even close to that. haha). Safe travels.
We joined elks with a bunch of peeps from Xscapers. One was a member and arranged it. From what I understand every lodge is different. Some strict and some not. If we end up in 29 Palms, CA at the same time, we’ll sponsor you. 😜
What is the bracket that you put your blinds on in the toy hauler portion?
Do you mean the curtains above the sliding garage doors? All of the regular blinds came with the Rv.
When you break down your annual cost of groceries, it's almost the same as what we spend in our sticks and bricks except we don't eat out at all. There isn't much near us and what there is isn't worth it
Since this video we did a follow up where we cut our expenses 63%.

@@liketheresnotomorrowoh wow that's incredible!! Watching now!!
We use Sirrius / XM too. I refuse to pay the ridiculously high price for it. I call every year a day or two before my subscription is up and tell them I want to cancel. They always give the the intro. price again.
lol I literally just cancelled and they offered a way lower price. Obviously someone is staying at the high price but they definitely want to keep you regardless. Such a strange biz model but it works for me. lol
I wanted to tell them the same thing!!! I stay at the $5/ mo or less rate… 😅
Florida insurance 1475 for camper. 1945 for truck. Truck is still registered in Massachusetts.
Thanks for sharing your numbers.... and for watching
So boondocking is great and cost effective but as for that portion of the budget, what’s the offset after factoring in the cost of the solar? I would think more accurate to add in the cost of the solar to that for the first year budget. No?
Sure you could add that, and we did mention it, but we wanted to show an average budget and not include every expense that most people are not going to have. That expense, while purchased in a year, will be offset over several years. So, if you want to add in $14k you can definitely do that. That’s what we paid for all parts and install.
Not sure one can reach 4800 per year in lodging. Even with senior discounts at our state parks cost is 35 to70 per night. Boondocking, harvest host and army corps of Eng sites can help reduce costs. Of course there is work camping.
We are weekend campers. My husband and I both work remotely and would like to explore working from our RV but struggle with internet for watching movies. We have T mobile and have been thinking about adding T mobile’s home internet. When I talked to someone from T-mobile they say the home Internet is only for your home location and it will not work in other areas. Do you know if this is something new or was that employee misinformed?
I guess it depends where you go. We went into the Tmobile near Quartzite and had no problem getting the Home Internet. They helped us find an address that would work as a "home" address. Technically, I guess it's not "supposed" to be used this way, but we have never had any issue with it. It has worked in about 85% of the places we have gone. We have Starlink as the backup. So we are covered either way.
Update: we just heard that they are cracking down on those traveling with T-Mobile home. Sounds like it’s not going to last. What they are supposed to replace it with is more than Starlink! We will drop
It when and if it happens but I wouldn’t get it at this point.
My google maps is always a backup to our garmin
I'm a trucker, and he's right. We don't care. 😅
VERY WEII DONE
Thanks so much. Appreciate you watching.
3 minutes into the video you guys are living the high life on the road that's way too expensive for me
Right. I’m not even able to afford their grocery bill. But there was a lot of useful information, throughout, that I’m able to use.
Robin Leach had a tv show back a few years.
I’m paying $120 per month for RV insurance in Maine but we are not full time so I assume that makes a difference.
Yea, the full time with added stuff, like extra days in hotel if you are displaced, is probably what’s getting us. They don’t like full time. In fact, many won’t even offer it. lol but in the end… stupid Florida rates.
Thank You so much! I feel like these were the most honest and realistic numbers I have seen. I agree numbers can very depending on each situation but overall this is very similar to our costs. We live, work, and travel on the road and just reached our one year nomadiversary. It’s a great life! Continued safe travels to you guys!
I like a 5th wheel but I don't want a big diesel truck to get fixed by a mechanic that will take advantage of me. What's best option for travel with a teen? Safety is #1. So maybe not for us. 🤷🏻♀️ I have seen solo parent travelers.
There are sooo many people with kids and teens. We are at an Rv event (Xscapers) and there are so many teen from different families hanging out together. I’d go find some Facebook groups for solos or families and start connecting.
New sub here, me and my gf both are 24 trying to get a first house, everything is so outrageous and nether one of us are approved for a first time homebuyer loan, we hate the idea of renting because at the end of it you got nothing to show for it. So we are exploring the idea of getting a rv on payments and full timing in a rv park for a few years while we save more money. We found a zinger 390db for only 56k brand new, just wanting to know what’s y’all thoughts on all that lol we would stay where we are and save money but we gotta get out soon
I’m not sure we are qualified to give investment advice (lol) but… you will never get your investment back from buying a new Rv these days. You might consider slightly used so that 1) the kinks are already worked out 2) price. Just do the math. If you can get a really good deal on a lease spot and that still allows for you to be able to save, go for it. Just leave money for repairs and such. I’d also say maybe borrow a similar Rv and live in it at the park you’re thinking of for a week or two. Not everyone is made for this close living. It would be shame to make that investment at your age and not like it. Just some random thoughts.
@@liketheresnotomorrow I appreciate the insight, unfortunately no one I know has a camper but I’ve always been able to stay in small spaces, as for my gf she said she really likes the one we went with just trying to find a rv park that’s not 55+ lol we went with a used 2021 37” one and if it came down to it we can put it on my parents property and saved to buy some property and build a house
Sounds like a good plan. Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with on your journey
