Lovely tips. Cats ate in the sunroom while I build their Catio. Unfortunately a chipmunk came in through the open window…not much left to identify. 😢 We have a mass chipmunk population that my Siamese cats could solve. 🤔

Am I missing something here? If I lived in a beautiful place like that my cats would be roaming naturally in the surrounding countryside. If you lived in a built up area where there was no green spaces then I could understand it, but not there.

I've been watching your videos a lot the last couple weeks trying to get ideas on how to build one for my two cats. We'll be staying long term in our rv though so everything we build will have to be temporary and we're not able to dig into the site so we're limited on what we can do.. any suggestions on what you'd do for two cats that don't get along at all? I'm trying to plan it out so that the one that gets picked on has escape routes from the bully.. it's difficult too since she can't really jump and doesn't climb all that well either. The bully is very active and can run and jump very well.

Wouldnt it be safer for the cats to have a smaller holed mesh to enclose the area to keep out harmful bugs ?

Outstanding tips and advice. Is that a dedicated litter box at 2:55 ? If so where did you get it and what are the dimensions? We’re currently using storage containers because the typical litter box is too small.

How often do you replace the zip ties. I have found that they dry and crack.

Wow, that is an awesome way to have kitties outside and still get fresh air and exercise, plus live a safe life. When I had an apt I screened in my patio for my cats but not anything like this. Very lucky cats. I take it the other cats are all in the house since we only see one in the catio.

Is all of it chicken wire? Because that’s so bendable I probably wouldn’t use that for the main structure. I guess depends if you have coyotes where you live. I will be getting a cat cage in a few days from Home Depot that has two levels and I’m thinking about well I was thinking about running some sheet metal along the bottom because I do have a couple of tomcats walking through my backyard but then maybe I’ll use that corrugated plastic that you were using for your roof Probably less expensive. Just don’t want the neighborhood cats to stick their paws through and scratch mine

How do you keep the spiders away from it? Here where I live, spiders would build their webs all over and inside this catio..

Love this catio!!! Roomy and sensible for cats'needs too. Looks like there's a tree inside the catio? If so, that's the best feature, cuz they can climb and sit up high in it's branches!!! Brilliant!!! Those kitties must love you big time!! Thank you for sharing your video tips❤😻
