Fort Mountain state Park - Moon Eyed People - Ancient Rock Wall - Fire Tower + Overlook
In this one we take a trip to Fort Mountain State Park in Chatsworth, Georgia to take a hike and see it’s points of interest. The most prominent being an ancient stone wall fortification in which Fort Mountain gets its name. Not much is known about this rock wall or the pits surrounding it other than it is over 1000 years old. It’s origins are often attributed to the Spanish, the confederate army, a prince of wales, the Cherokee, and often a fair skinned blue eyed ancient people known as the Moon Eyed People. This group of people were said to war with the Cherokee and Creek tribes and many believe they either built the fort or the fort was built to fend off an attack by them. The moon eyed people could not see well in the day as their fair eyes did not do so well in sunlight so they were practically nocturnal. They would often have beards and their eyes blue and glossy and they spoke a strange language. Many people believe them to be descendants of Welsh immigrants brought by Prince Madoc around the year 1100 A.D although there is not strong evidence to support any theory. A few people even believe the moon eyed people were actually extraterrestrial aliens not from earth in the slightest. Others believe Hernando De Soto and his men built it but there is doubt that he was even in the area long enough or at all to build it. Nobody truly knows where the stone wall on Fort mountain comes from and perhaps we never will but still it makes for a cool story.
Other points of interest would be the fire tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corp and the overlook on the mountains western peak. I document the hike as well.

Wow, that was a while since I've seen such horrendous dinosaurs and prehistoric animals statues ! Did Dinosaur World stayed stucked in the 70's or what ? lol I suppose they don't have that much money to update them. I guess it could be fun for people who are clueless about dinosaurs, but for that's defenitively a place to avoid for people like me ^^'

I've been here a few times between 2017 & 2021 while on the road between Rhode Island and Florida, we always stopped here for souvenirs and I remember seeing the old amusement park (just a ferris wheel and bumper cars I think). It's kinda like a little town, and I recall stopping for gas over there last time I went through there!

Nice video! I visited Pasaquan about a year ago, but it looks like they have done more restoration since then. The caretaker there told me about the website spacesarchives.org. You may already know about this website, but I found it is a good place to find more locations like Pasaquan, or even less traveled ones. They also host a Pasafest once a year in the Spring. I haven't got to attend yet, but I hope to go sometime in the future.
I haven’t heard of that but I’ll check it out. And I have plans to attend pasafest and film it sometime in the future. Who knows maybe next year I will. Thanks for watching

This is another place I’ve wanted to visit for at least a decade and I finally did it and it did not disappoint. I still have a few things to post from my Alabama and Georgia trip and I leave out in a couple days to head somewhere new and film. Safe travels man
@@adventuresofmoonman Sounds cool man. I've loved Pasaquan for years. Dunno if you've seen my video from there a while ago but it was a good one as well. What's funny is both our videos and thumbnail design mention "Inside the Mind of St. EOM. Weird? It's like we were thinking the same thing or maybe St. EOM's telepathically saying thanks for keeping his creation alive and promoting his art here in the future. It's such a beautifully weird and wonderful spot and I tell folks about it all the time. I felt at total peace while I was there. It's hard to explain. Loved the Vulcan statue video as well man. I've been wanting to do a tour of that area for years. Safe travels. HG

Glad you got to visit Hank. I've been there a few times and did videos at just about all the spots I could while in the areas he was in during his life and death. I plan to visit a few more I've found and do videos there as well. He's truly a legend and gone too soon. I actually had planned to do a video at the Hank Williams Museum, but wasn't allowed to. Then you go on here and see the more "privileged You Tubers" getting a full open door to film and they're not even fans, but social media famous. What's up with that? They did allow me a rare photo option with his death car Cadillac which I did. I'm a true Hank Williams fan that couldn't film that iconic piece of his life's history. I often wonder how much good music he'd given us if he had only lived a full life. It's bitter sweet to think about. By the way, the museum isn't even owned by his family, however, the car is on lone by Hank Jr., there's no way Bocephus would let anyone get there greedy hands on that iconic car and I'm glad the family still owns old Hank's car at least. Great place full of cool stuff to see and a fun gift shop. HG
I visited the museum and loved it. Was a bummer that they do not allow filming or at least for no names like me but still the place is so well done and I feel blessed to have seen it. Hank was, is, and will always be THE MAN in my eyes. Thanks for watching:)

Yes she was wrong for killing 7 men, but i don't believe in the death penalty. I deeply understand why she wasn't in her right mind because her own family failed her. She wanted the state to kill her and got her wish October 9th 2002. I still want to send my condolences to the families of the 7 men and also to the family of Aileen Wuornos. As for Aileen, i pray that God forgives you and have mercy on your soul
Aileen was a troubled soul who was dealt a very bad card in life and didn’t get the basic needs a child deserves. She was a product of her raising in alot of ways. But she did what she did and that’s all on her. I agree she shouldn’t have been sent to die as it’s apparent from her last few interviews that her mental state was not all there anymore. I pray for her and her family and especially for the families of the victims too especially. I hope they all find peace in this life and the next

This place was cool looking. It reminds me of the scene in Tim Burton's Big Fish where Ed Bloom got all the daffodils in five states for his lady Sandra. I actually got to film the abandoned movie set from Big Fish when I was touring Alabama years ago and it was an amazing video shoot. That video's in my All Things Abandoned playlist if you ever wanna see what's left of the town of Spectre. You should check it out one day man it's worth the drive. HG
