UFO Welcome Center - Decaying Alien Rest Stop

- In the small town of Bowman, South Carolina sits a tourist attraction like no other. The attraction in mention is the one of a kind UFO Welcome Center. Jody Pendarvis began building this intergalactic rest stop in 1994 as a place for aliens to stop and rest during their otherworldly exploration. It features 4 stories of views from inside its two ufo’s (one stacked on top of the other) of the streets of Bowman. At one point in its history it began to be too much to upkeep and fell into disrepair, a state in which it still sits in today. It has been featured on numerous publications such as Vice News, Ripleys Believe It or not, and Roadside America. While at first a whacky little stop in South Carolina it has grown into a bonafide roadside attraction.
While it’s not clear if any aliens or extraterrestrials have visited or plan to visit the UFO welcome center it is a nice thought to know they have somewhere to park and take it easy anytime they choose. It is also nice to see that this roadside attraction may be saved in the future, as it has been said Jody himself is repairing the alien tourist stop.

Darn… I was hoping you were going to go all the way up. Last month when I was out there I stuck my sticker on the roof and was hoping to see it still there. I also was lucky enough to meet and interview Jody. Such an amazing guy and such an amazing place. Shame it probably won’t be around much longer. 😢
If not for the wind being so bad I probably would have honestly. This visit was in mid January. And I wouldn’t bet on that, as it appears he’s rebuilding it from top down. I’m hopeful for it’s future. I saw your video and I enjoyed it I discovered your channel from that and I’ve been watching. Thanks for stopping by !
Hey Moon Man, glad you got to see this amazing place. I did a video there a while ago and made the journey inside and lived to tell about it. I liked the alien inside and the weird oddities that fill the yard. I had a guy subscribe to the channel in the parking lot it was pretty surreal. I just added a new episode of Odd Shadows Podcast and some video footage from Savannah, GA. I've got a big line of spots to be this summer, so it should be a good one.
