    I have a question. My garage footing is sticking out 5 inches from the wall. I am getting my set next week and i am wondering what to do. Should I use spacers like you did to mount the cabinets and the lockers to the wall stud or the second option is to install the lockers on top of the footing? The footing height is about 2 ft from the ground. Thank you!

      @travisadventureprojects4578 Před 2 měsíci

      I believe they are mostly designed to have the bulk of the weight on the legs with the bolts securing them to the wall. Hard to say how well they would do only bolted to the wall. Could either do the spacers or build some sort of support/shelf for them to sit on.

    Great work showing the installation. I am getting my set from Costco this week. My foundation lip looks like yours except for, it sticks out 5 inches from the wall. Should I lift the lockers and install them on top of the foundation lip? That way everything will be flush to the wall or should I keep them on the ground and use 2 x 4s in the back to be able to attach them to the wall stud?

    Great setup! I am thinking about getting this system but i have a problem with concrete slab sticks out 5 inches from the wall. The concrete slab around my garage is about 2ft high from the floor and 5 inches thick, sticking out. These cabinets will not sit flush against the wall. Is there a solution for this type of situation?

    • @tlambie
      @tlambie Před 2 měsíci

      Sure, just screw a 4x4 and a 2x4 to the wall where the cabinets mount at the top giving you 5” of clearance. I needed 2 inches so I used a 2x4 and 1x4 for little more than 2 inches of clearance. I added the same at the top of the cinder block so I could hang the cabinets to the wall with 6 inches of clearance rather than having them on the floor. Hope this helps.

    Hi Travis, if your were to do it again would you go with the pro series. I'm going with the pro. I've seen on the new age web site lots of people are complaining about the stainless steel table top that the gauge is super thin and even come damaged since they seem to be so fragile. Are you happy with the bamboo top. I work on small motors, and sometimes hammering is required. Wonder if I could screw in a vise as well? So now I'm just debating between bamboo or stainless... Thanks Mate ☺👍

    • @travisadventureprojects4578
      @travisadventureprojects4578 Před rokem

      Are you planning on having the taps mounted to the wall in your house or the wall of the mini fridge? From what I recall, the top of the Danby mini fridges are pretty safe to drill through as most of the cooling likes are in the walls.

    • @bretschueneman1222
      @bretschueneman1222 Před rokem

      Yeah, taps will be mounted to the wall. I think I will opt to drill through the top of the fridge instead of the side wall in case I move or decide to do a tower later on.

      @travisadventureprojects4578 Před rokem

      @bretschueneman1222 that sounds great! Depending on how far the lines run outside the fridge you may need to devise a way to keep them cold. If you made a tube of pipe insulation around them and attach it to the top of the mini fridge cold air could travel down the insulated tube.

    It was a little flimsier than I expected. I had to add a 2x2 piece of wood to the bottom on the rear side in order to stabilize it better czcams.com/users/postUgkxXTh-lz-8W6GcB219vTLp27-MxbZYObBX . It is also starting to bow a little at the outer wall ( I've had it up for about 6 months), I've already had a shelf tumble down because of the bow and the fact that the little shelf brackets are quite short. I went out to home depot and got some longer ones so that the shelves don't tumble down again. Overall, it looks very nice for the price and it holds a lot ( I use it as a pantry). I am very satisfied with my purchase. I just strongly suggest reinforcing it before putting it up.

Thank God for CZcams and a few install videos on new age website were helpful. I have not searched all comments below, but I did discover one thing that made it fairly EZ to install overhead cabinets mostly by myself. Turn ONE cabinet on its side! It is the exact 24 inches you need to support the small overhead cabinet you are currently installing. I would like to know how you strap it down. I have a 30 foot nitro XLR toy hauler by forest river. I have a Polaris razor four seater that goes inside but every time I go on a trip the straps come loose I put six straps on it each and every time and no matter what I do the straps all come loose after a 4 hr drive

    • @travisadventureprojects4578
      @travisadventureprojects4578 Před rokem

      I use the D rings that are mounted in the floor of the trailer and run my straps underneather to the tow hook at the back and the front tie down plate at the front of the RZR. I had a problem with the tie down points on the trailer being to close the the tie down points on the RZR so I run the straps from the forward tiedown point in the trailer all the way to the back of the RZR and the most rearward tie-down point in the trailer to the front of the RZR. It ends up making a bit of an "X" pattern underneath with the long straps but so far I haven't had any issues. It seems like it allows it to rock a bit without unstrapping itself. Hope that makes sense!

    Hi, I am about to purchase and found this video which is extremely helpful. I currently do not have electrical on the wall where they will go. Where is the best placement for an outlet or multiple outlets. Also, I have a cement lip at the base of my wall which is about 2 " out from the drywall. I assume that I will have to block that out in the back so I can attach the upper cabinets. Where are the upper cabinet holes so I know where to have the wood?

    • @travisadventureprojects4578
      @travisadventureprojects4578 Před rokem

      Thank you I appreciate it! As for outlets your best bet would probably be the open wall above the table top or behind the rolling cabinets as there is some space there. Here is a link to another video I did where I mounted a cabinet with a footing czcams.com/video/sut3p4htpdk/video.html. The problem with mounting the wood before the cabinets arrive is the first one takes a little bit of messing around to get level and until you have that one in place you won't know the level for the wood. Best bet would be to wait until they arrive, set the first one up the figure out where the wood will have to go.
