I also found when I started creating content on instagram the same thing happened to me. I just use it now to gather ideas for drawing etc
Ohhhh my gooood, you are so cute, talented and I love your energy, thank you for this video!
very helpful đ
As an italian simply just use the Moka if u want to not spend a lot and get good coffee wuickly with ground coffee. Also if you want room sprays that purify only with essential oils here we use puressentiel its a very good brand I recommend it
everyone uses the first one it's common knowledge
I already do most of what you say, like we have never used coffee capsules as we drink drip coffee or Turkish style. But the idea for dishwashing cloths is great, however I think I wonât buy them, but just kinda upcycle my old towels. I will keep the paper towels though, for drying up meat or cleaning cross things, we usually use just 1 roll per month, so itâs not such a big deal.
Thank you for sharing your template. đ„° I just have a suggestion to correct your to do's to to dos. It should never have an apostrophe coz if you put one, it will read as to do is. Same with Dos & Don'ts which often get mistaken. Never put an apostrophe to pluralize a noun. Hope this helps! đ€
Happy to! Haha thank you for noting this - itâs going to bug me now đđł
Thank you for these insights! I struggle with comparison and envy specially with my closer circle. In my attempt to understand why i feel that way one thing I find is most narratives on social media with regards to feeling envy even before is we are encouraged âyou shouldnât feel jealous or envious of a friendâ but there we are on social media striving to make an enviable life and encouraging each other to compare subconsciously. No one wants to compare nor feel envy specially to a friend but those feelings and comparison tendencies are real and i donât think itâs petty either. I grew up thinking im simply insecure and endured staying in friendships coz i feel im in the wrong for feeling that way. im not saying ditching friendships because of it but sometimes if that feeling is becoming more detrimental and subconsciously putting the object of our envy and jealousy on a pedestal i think that would be unfair for both sides especially our own life. Social media didnât help much and I also tried to romanticize and be more active on it but i think subconsciously i started to catch myself feeling like i was still performing to strive for an image only it was going a little more subtly than obvious because itâs becoming more of a feeling now rather than simply being able to distinguish what i can see, especially when social media is image focused. I say itâs unfair because instead of finding our true selves and living our own life comparison traps us to focus on the other and what they are doing and since they have this or do that we think thatâs the standard and blindly go for it. Thereâs nothing wrong with doing the same thing but i think social media have us simply doing and not check in with ourselves what we really feel about something⊠do i really want that or do i only think i want that because others do it?
Great points, started minimalism 3 years ago and my life is exponentially better. I too feel better when I reduce and if something is not a hell yes itâs a no. Meditation, yoga, and less distractions is immensely beneficial.
getting rid of social media apps, going through my closet, organizing and making piles to donate/give away, looking at my clothes and if i haven't worn it in a year or two, there's a good chance i can donate it, and then when i still feel like connecting, i might download the apps, but i don't stay on them very long and delete them again, oh no news app either, getting rid of everything toxic including toxic people in my life, good luck on your journey
Thank you so much for sharing!!! <3 i really need it
Glad to! đ«¶đœ

"Do not disturb" mode is fantastic for helping me stay focused on whatever I'm doing right now. It lets me choose WHEN I want to actually engage with my phone, rather than the other way around.
For me, it's not just Instagram. It's the fact that I spend so much time on my phone, I am not looking at the sky and my surroundings anymore. I can feel how disconnected I am from reality. My head is heavy and my entire body feels overwhelmed because there's too much noice and unnecessary never ending consumption. My mind feels sooo unstimulated when I managed to pull myself away from my phone, I feel like I am breathing and alive again.
I knew as soon as I seen the coffee pods/ maker come out how wasteful it looked! I'm so glad I have never had one. I use compostable liner or a moka pot or french press. I need to swap out my fiances sponges lol. I hate sponges. And I need more cloths in kitchen. We do have paper towel, i sometimes can reuse - if I just dry fruit or lettuce ill let the paper towel dry then use it to wipe up a spill or something. We definitely need to stop using those can sprays too!
I actually put a filter on my email (well my boyfriend did bc i asked) to put all the emails that have the word unsubscribe in them to the trash folder, it has actually helped with not wanting to buy everything under the sun. It might not have to do with clothes but it does help me. It's also good to get rid of subscriptions you don't need too. I did that with a makeup/skincare box I got. I started to become overwhelmed with too much so I had to stop. If something runs out I will purchase that item again if I liked it. For example, my toner I use, I will purchase another one before it gets too low and I will be fine. Or if I can't remember when I first used a certain mascara , I will just throw it away and purchase another one if I don't already have one that isn't opened
As a Dj i deleted for second time the fb profile but i kept the messenger. Also i deleted the instagram and i will use my youtube channel for uploading videos and i wll have the gmail and viber for communicate. Lets do it!!
I change out our sponges everyday and wash and boil them every Sunday. I put them in the dryer with our kitchen dish towels (which I also change daily) to dry. I also got in the habit of using Swedish dish towels too just because they are so efficient. I don't know about GLASS straws thugh........ouch! I'm too clumsy.đ
Such an insightful video. Thank you. Iâm struggling to even start on making art my business and while being a mom. I think I just got to start small and not compare myself to other artists out there â€
Thank you for taking the time to watch Rayla đ„° trying to do anything while being a mom is difficult - but you deserve to express your creativity! I think starting small is a great idea đĄ
I think alot of the population in Belgium uses washcloths, I recently found out that americans think using it is for the poor. But⊠how do you rubwash dirty feet and all without a washcloth? đ
Forget the silicone shower brush, just use a regular cleaning coth and wash it.
I have had my swedish dish cloths for 4 years now, still good!
All except the glass. Afraid of breakage. We use silicone.
Do your old time friends still consider you as the same person you were 5 years ago? Subconsciouly that will make you feel bad about yourself and sometimes even reproduce behaviours you thought you had left behind.
Y'all... less group chats and notifications. Seriously. That constant income of meaningless messages on one hand + that empty feeling you get when people take too long to reply to your message or don't at all is draining. Don't be fooled by the fake closeness you feel from knowing the people in those groups in real life, in actuality it's social media all over again. Leave every group you can afford to and mute the ones you don't feel ready to abandon. Also turn off notifications for pretty much every other app. Take some time to unsubscribe from newsletters, go into your bank app and turn off unimportant notifications etc.
I'm so confused.... has anyone actually bought throw-away straws for at home? I've never bought anyone nor met anyone who bought any. The only time I know of people using them is getting fast food or going to a restaurant, in which case they are given to you for free.
any chance you'll ever re-upload your older decluttering vids? they were so motivating for me to have on when cleaning my room lol x
Hi Emily - have you seen my decluttering playlist? They should all be there! So glad you find them motivatingđ
@@HaleyVillena I have! I got thru them all yesterday when declutterring but I thought u had way more!! I might just be misremembering tho x
You rock! Hope the decluttering went well for you đ€
So glad I clicked on this video!
Nice! We do use the swedish dish clothes and ground coffee and well, I want to share another ways to save money too: 1. Thick straws: i think they're plastic but are so thick, we have them for years, they're good and easy to clean. 2. Paper gift bags: We reuse them a lot, I can say we have a several 7 years old paper gifts bags. When we receive one, we use it for give another gift for someone else. 3. Microfiber cloth: You can use it for the dust and we also use it for cleaning glass and another to clean the bathroom, they last years and you can wash them easily, they dry fast (well where I live we always have hot weather so it dries in 15 mins) 4. Refill with water the shampoo: When we're about to be out of product or even when it's half full we can add water and extend its life hehe. Tha'ts a way to clean the bottle and use the entire product. 5. Reuse the plastic bottles: When we're out of any product in bottle, a good way to recycle is to use that bottles and fill them with liquids for cleaning the house or another liquid thing you need to store (except what has to do with food). 6. Reuse plastic boxes and plastic bags: Ice cream boxes, we use them as a plastic container (for food or even sewing tools, whatever you want). Plastic water bottles or plastic juice bottles we fill them with homemade juice or as a water jug if its large or if its medium or small as a personal water bottle hehe. And the plastic bags can be used to carry wet things or carry plastic containers with food, this prevents the smell of the food inside from coming out, or we can use it as a garbage bag. 7. Reuse damaged clothing: We can use them as a cleaning cloth or even for drying your feet. (Sorry if i got writing mistakes, this is not my native language đ )
Great video and helpful much
Glad it was helpful!
i use paper towels because theyâre more sanitary. i wouldnât want to reuse a cloth to clean my toilet or to clean areas that need to be disinfected like countertop. unless youâre sanitizing those cloths after every use, youâre just spreading bacteria around. plus when iâm cooking, stuff spills everywhere and is dirty. i donât want to push those messes around with the same cloth. also, i use paper towels to dry my hands after washing them. hand towels are very unsanitary. i have dish rags that i use, but i will never give up paper towels entirely. i understand the sentiment, but i just canât đ
I use the silicon brush and euro scrubby you mentioned. Both are perfect
Don't know if this will help but for anyone who gets grossed out by tasks - I have clean kitchen gloves and dirty so for like washing up I use clean but taking the bins out, sorting the strainer in the sink I use the dirty and I can disinfect them both but I feel less procrastination towards these tasks
The only thing I didn't like from your suggestions was gift wraps. Gift wraps are magical, both in that it's awesome for someone to tare it open or for another to carefully peal it and save it. I've kept intact wraps from my grandma safely tucked in an envelope and I will never give them up for some cloth.
You need only two fancy dresses: black one for evenings and funerals, and a light color for weddings or fancy brunches. Get a solid color, classic fit with a great cut that flatters your figure. Thatâs all you need!
I keep gift boxes, tissue paper, giftbags, wrapping paper, if in good shape.fold everything flat and store in christmas storage bag.keep tape, ribbon, labels, holiday cards, pair of scissors in bag too. Fits on top shelf in closet, compact and ready to use
I deleted social media and then realised how much time do I actually have in a day but I'm very uncomfortable because I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO WHAT I SHOULD DO !!!
My kids are literally blind to counter/sink/stove mess. I will not be visiting them when they're adults.
Just curious: do you really drink hot drinks with a straw? This is the first time I hear of itâŠ
The âwanting to please an older version of myselfâ thing is so real⊠I often get myself planning for things I do not have the same enthusiasm as beforeâŠ
This is so helpful! Made me realize how much space I could save... Thank you for making this!!<33
Can I ask what organizer you are using ?
Cotton rags. Cotton washcloths. Cotton rags. Cotton wrapping cloth. Drip coffee. Coconut husk scrubber. Clean with green soap and air out the place. Moist microfiber is the best agains dust. Line drying or just toss it in the dryer see what the big deal is (nothing, no dyer balls or sheets necessary). It's all marketing.
Just found your channel via CZcamsâs suggestion. Loved the video! Iâm currently in the Fintech/Corp space which is brutal! Hence started my channel to see what transpires ⊠Subbed â
Iâve found a happy medium with silicone straws - reusable, bendy, and not breakable
The two best things I've done for myself have been to stop watching the news and delete social media.
Right ,my dear friend
stop watching news is dumb thoâŠ..
Agreed the news is designed to breed sensationalism for ratings. If you watch and buy in the world is ending every day but if you turn it off the world is actually a beautiful place and most people generally get along.
