Great episode Lads - Ben is probably the best pundit on YT and made for a really interesting watch. KRO
There is no Blueprint for success everyone in the team need to find a identity and all work hard and off the same page. Ipswich have done that well and good on them but we will find our own way with our own identity and style KRO
Great to hear Ben talking about Blues - there’s nothing he doesn’t know about the Championship. Should be a pundit on TV, way more knowledgeable than most.
Good to see you have Benjamin on the podcast. Very knowledgeable and likable guy. Think his point about the need to be able to compete with the physical demands of League One is well made, especially when the pitches are poor. Teams are going to have a right go at us away from home and we need to be up to dealing with that side of the game when required. I am confident Chris Davies will do his homework and have us ready for that. Much is being made of the money we have to spend and that is no doubt true but the real test will be spending it well. Something that we have not always done as well as we might. KRO.
❤ yes please 🙏 😅 up in 1 season 🙏 🙌 up to Ipswich yes please 🙏 😅 do the job 🙏 up the blues with ❤ new ones in at the blues 💙 😅 win the league in 1 season yes 💙 😀 👍 😎
Mr Bloom is spot on I can listen to him for hours well done lads KRO
I haven't watched the episode yet - but as a regular listener of both the Keep Right On podcast and Benjamin Bloom's check in podcast and his youtube channel, I think it's a great collab!
Really enjoyed that. some great insight from Ben. On Ben's closing comments, Blues have been crap for so many years that despite it being a division lower, myself and I think many other blues fans are just looking forward to see a side winning games of football regularly. If we get 90 points and don't go up, I hope we'd stick with the manager and give it another go next season because I'm sure if we did that the 2nd season would bear fruit. I'm looking forward to it. KRO
Any truth on Josh windass? The guy at Rotterdam be exciting but at 5/6 million plus bit risky, can get 4 or 5 good players for league one and capable in championship with that money. 👀
Not in a million years are paik, Bacuna and James staying, 🥴 If one of them are still here at close of window it’s a masterstroke.
It's a good job this parochial attitude didn't prevail in the 60s when we were one of the first teams to play in Europe.
That request to play in America is just embarrassing.
There is no USA story its invented by the media including the Birmingham mail and sister rags, there hasn't even been a conversion so shut up about it. Wrexham are a nothing club compered to Blues and most of the league 1 Clubs at the moment it will nether happen and it's not being looked at for god's sake.
I'd like to know if there is any truth in a post on Facebook of a screenshot of either an Instagram post or an X ( twitter ) one that said that blues were signing Armando Dobra from Chesterfield? It said that we had agreed a fee with Chesterfield and that we were in contract negotiations with him. He's a 23 year old attacking midfielder who was their star man last season scoring 10 goals in the national league in their promotion season... great signing if true 👍
Peacock Farrell..Done Deal ..
Are you asking or telling.
❤ w b a .man no to old for the blues 💙 😅 up the blues go for someone up top yes 👍 😉 dfd for the blues 👌 and new strikers to make us stronger 💪 more like paul tat 💪 yes win the league yes ❤️ to all 😅😅😅 win the league 💙 😀 👍.
Hopefully we'll just play the 18/21's for the minor cup competitions.
My dad wanted to buy a season for the first time in years in the kop and when he looked at the prices he said no chance I know the infrastructure we be up in price . But over 500 pounds for league 1 football is not right . But we are still going down for certain games and renewing are season tickets for the women. Great show lads . #KRO
Is regarded as best seats in the house. With the view etc, maybe go over to the main stand where it’s considerably cheaper 💪 KRO
We are on our way up, fixtures out and looking to strengthen… it will happen after pre season CD will get us sorted out by the time we face Reading! KROTTEOTR
Sick of hearing about USA and fucking Wrexham hurry up new season England playing like we did last season utter shite
I know exactly how you feel.
Hopefully we can put Wrexham in there place!
Be patient for gods sake, Chris might not have met all of our players yet, let alone see them play. Hes said he want to see what the current players look like for two weeks before making any firm signings, but you can bet the recruitment team have got all the targets identified. On a negative note its finally nice to see the face of the man who writes so much garbage and so many fairy tale stories for the Evening Mail regarding Blues.
1 more keeper as Ryan Allsop and Bradley Mayo are there
Surprised no one is mentioning Devante Cole. Third highest goal scorer in league one last season and available on a free?
Some interesting names. Would be delighted to see us sign someone of the calibre of Ronnie Edwards.I think Aaron Connolly is an interesting option. Right age. Started his career at Brighton with a bang. League One could be a good setting for him!
May be Ryan allsop will be number one but I've been keeping an eye on Brad mayo and he's pretty good now and he's just signed new contract so I think by listening to chat going about I think Brad mayo will be involved in first team a lot this season and all he's played is sweeper keeper and from what I've seen he's pretty good
Plz just say Brain don’t say second name plz Kro just stop plzzz Kro
We’ll need another ‘keeper, two central defenders and three strikers as a minimum. I expect a us to be busy in the transfer market for midfielders too, with JJ, Paik, Miyoshi, Bacuna, Bielik, Pritchard, Dembele all potentially leaving.
Brian the negative nonny
There are foreign players as well. Look what Brighton does.
Id like to know whether we are still interested in Mateusz Musialowski ( the Polish Messi ) who was at Liverpool and is now a free agent. If we could get him on board now then he could become a great player... especially as he supposedly agreed to come in January then, he wasn't signed in the end. Keeper, id like to see Lukas Jensen from Lincoln. Longelo should be loaned out somewhere. Then get a new left back and right back to be backup to Laird and Buchanan. Forward wise, I'd like to see a younger target man ( someone who is 6ft 3 or 6ft 4 ! ) like Ziggy who would win everything in the air, to play along side a poacher type of striker like a young super Kevin Phillips type... 👌 But out of the players mentioned, i like Ronnie Edwards, instead of Batth id like Helik from Huddersfield. I'd love Twine, and Leonard.
Hi guys Great listening again and good to hear from Ryan and Ben who really know their stuff, the more views the better imo
Tyler Roberts is a link up player he's not confident in front of goal, langstaff at notts county for me, if blues want to go up this season they need a 20 plus goalscorer. I can't see anyone in the team at the moment banging them in.
Just on the basis of buying a goalie people were buying season ticket’s at Stans today. Upper Kop sold out!
No mention of under 21ns some good lads there
As someone who went to school with Danny Batth he’s a Villa boy and I don’t think he’s too fond of Blues 😂
So was Mortimer and Bremner laugh at that one . 😜
It doesn't mean much these days. At one point Troy Deeney spoke to the villa - only issue was covering up his blues badge tattoo.
❤ new strikers and new kit for 2024 25 up the blues win 🏆 and win the league 😅😅 new season tickets for new league 😅 up and running 🏃♀️ for the season yes go man go 🚶♂️ 😅🎉 blues with ❤
before we got relegated ,how many league players did we look at? how many blues fans know what quality is in league 1.........ill wait
sanderson is pissed every weekend at the arcadian IN BIRMINGHAM.....HE is no captain....i live by gardner and speak to him all the time....he is tee total
i live in hampton in arden......rooney is a pissed head....thats all im saying
Agree that the new manager has come across very well in his initial interviews … he is very clear on how he wants the team to train & play and seems very ‘can do’. The challenge will be can he get the team to deliver - JE got a tune out of the players, TM started to before he needed to step down due to ill health but all others struggled. I guess the key will be the new signings CD makes & how quickly he can mould the style of play to his specific vision
Love this podcast i watch every one
Interesting listen as always guys
I think if we are talking about introducing leaders and experience, Danny Batth has been released by Norwich and would definitely be an asset in League One. Whilst also adding much needed height to the side
And he’s a local lad
Like the new kit; penguin strip turned around 😉All we need now are the new arrivals… a decent spine from gk to cf. There is more talent in this league than we give credit to! Every game will be a cup final… KRO… 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 winning formula!!
I cackled at rhe idea of that doubles game. That would be amazing content! Great podcast lads.
4-4-2 with the JUKE and a new (replacement) Che Adams! 🏴KRO! I think the BLUES Squad will look👀wicked in the new strip!
Don't be a wally.
Wrexham who ?
Not sure if it's the new managers decision, but Shuttleworth has joined Plymouth to work along with Rooney again. Things are looking up already!!
You two always talk a lot of sense. I'm also impressed with you pronouncing Davies the proper English way. Irrespective of whether it's spelt with an 'e' or not, in this country it's always been pronounced Davis and not Davees like the Americans do. That Spurs reporter on your show pronounced it Davees and I found it most annoying. Well done boys and keep it up 👍
great point 👍
