How do you like the DLE 35? I was thinking about doing a DLE35RA with a retrofit electric starter. I see a lot of guys doing DLE55s though in this model. Do you feel like it has enough power?

Why does Juan fly so high and so far away on a maiden? I never do that, so I can trim it out and see if it's tail heavy or nose heavy, and I like to get a few landings in to get a feel for it.

Nice fix ! Crimps are for inside an electrical box to tie grounds together (maybe not plumbing). Just picked up one as well and trying to get NW straight is difficult. To adjust rod requires taking NW assembly out - turn rod and re-install. Wonder if you had the same problem?

Why not have the sound of the plane, intead of that rubbish racket, that you mostlikely call music :-((((

Mine used to do this I got tired of it I ripped it out and put a regular those retract in now my e-flite is starting to do it

Checking the CG is very important in all areas of flying.From your R/C model all the way to a full scale aircraft.Im an R/C pilot,Private pilot and A&P mechanic.

One thing for sure you never put a receiver on the outside of the plane it doesn't look right needs to be inside

Nothing more fun than landing a plane you were already nervous to fly that has CoG issues once it's in the air! You were so damned close. Heart-breaking.

There are a few planes that have that “presence” when you see them in the air- Freewing 80mm a-10, 90mm Freewing F-22, the 1600mm WWII fighters from Flightline and the T-45 is on that list as well. The T-45 is just a pretty jet. Great lines.

Did you look for a specific point for the 12 mm on the elevator? That’s got me a little confused.

This is 100% the pilot's fault. He should have landed as soon as he knew the issue instead of flying out the battery and then trying to land. You sir should be ashamed of yourself. NO, it didn't "fly well" and I hope you bought him a new jet.

Well I would think that you all should have picked a better place to fly the Tom Cat. Maybe the smaller planes you can fly at that parking lot. With every one there afraid of flying it you should have cancelled the flight of the F 14. The guy that crashed the F14 should have bought the other guy a new plane.

My first flight on mine it would not pull up at all. I ended up putting about 40% up trim on and shoving the battery back as far as it would go. The cg listed is way off

Is it easy to fly? For me, no. Mine had an inherent right roll tendency which no amount of left input would correct. After 30 seconds of fighting it, it departed controlled flight and crashed into a tree, destroying the foam airframe. It was my dream jet I’d waited for 2 years to get, and it flew badly. Very unfortunate and very disappointing.

I want to get a F-14 so bad.

After installing the upgrade servos, did you noticing any “ ratcheting ” or not perfect smooth when you finished the install ? My came with the upgrade and I noticed what I was asking about yours . I called Freewing and they sent me this back : The current Mig-29 is configured by Freewing with coreless servos to provide the ability to apply more torque to hold position during control surface movements. This “chattery” behavior is considered normal when the elevators are not under load (no input) and the servos’ narrow dead-band causes it to generate fast micro-movements as it seeks to hold the control surface in place. If you touch the elevator surface this behavior should stop. Rest assured that the servo is not defective and this chattering will disappear once the plane is in flight and air pressure is being applied. However, if the servo continues to chatter badly while under pressure, please let us know so we can investigate.

They did the upgrade servos are bigger and mine were rubbish

The new mig has a bigger servo and therefore this replacement no longer fits in the box . I had to creat a new box to sit in the servo tray to take the high tech up grade alternate so be warned . The new upgrade servo I got were terrible !

I did the 8s conversion to my eflite f16 70mm. Added the 1900kv fms motor and then 8s. She is ridiculously fast and powerfull!! I've got 5, 8s flights on her, so far no issues. How many 8s flights do you have on your bird here?

Great maiden flight on this bird. The earlier planes that Freewing put out had some minor issues, but is still a good flyer.
