Happy New Year my Brother! And thank you so much for the 2020 blessings. I hope you are well too. Haven’t flown as much as I’d like, but hoping 2020 will allow more opportunity to do so. Much success and prosperity to you and yours my Friend!!
I knew it wouldnt be long before we saw an F18 on the ants bench. Awesome brother. I'm glad you have one in your hangar. Not very often that you buy a jet that you truly wanted and have been waiting to be produced. Good for you Ant. Glad your having a fun time with the experience. Thanks for sharing bromigo.
Thanks Dave👍🏽 These are exciting times in RC planes and jets! Now if I can just find a way to fly a whole lot more, it would be even better! I hope you are well friend! Great show too, by the way! Keep it up...love to see you growing the channel 👌🏾
🐜 I don’t know how I haven’t subscribed to you yet but I got it now. F-18 is awesome can’t wait to get mine in the air. Flew motionrcs at Joe nall and it is smoking fast.
Had to pull the trigger on this one Hujum! I grew up watching both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds with my Dad and Sis. So of course I pass it on to my kids. Captain Kuss was a humble joy to spend a few minutes with, so it’ll be an honor to fly in his stead. ✋🏽
Very sweet looking, really love the Blue Angels #6,great choice!! I sure hope to have this one one day! I'm really looking forward to see you flying this beautiful jet!
The weather in Wichita has not been very good for flying lately either.I am doing a refinish on a Fw A-4 I just bought and it is almost ready for its maiden flight, though my skills as a pilot aren't ready for that yet,but hoping real soon if the weather will let me get out and practice with other planes! I'll be watching for your video!
Great looking bird Ant...I hope she flies like the wind for you...I wonder why they dont put all the hardware from the factory on Freewing like they do on FMS...cant wait for the maiden sir
Hi Ricky, good question! We don't pre-install the control linkages on our larger EDFs for a couple of reasons. First, pilots operating jets of this size tend to have developed their own preference for linkage setup. Inner hole, middle hole, outer hole, etc. Leaving the linkages un-installed allow the pilot to configure the model according to his/her preferences. Second, best practices for any RC model is to cycle the servos before maiden, and most of the feedback we've received over the years has been that this is easier done without everything connected. Third, "floating" control surfaces are more resistant to damage because the control surface will bend out of the way instead of dinging the foam. As evidenced by our inner foam carton layouts, we expend lots of energy to preempt damage during shipping or handling.
I always appreciate your energy and enthusiasm, Flying Ant! Did you hug the FedEx guy? He was probably following you off the freeway to your driveway. Thank you as always for your support!
Alpha- I was just shy of a hug with the Fed Ex guy! So looking forward to getting her in the air and on video. Expect some cool ones with this one!! Thanks for what you do! MRC is blessed to have you my friend 👏🏽

Hey Ant ! Until last night on the Boozers, hadn't seen much of you. Now that you're in possession on that Beautiful F-18, I hope we will see more. Like the maiden ? 👍 man, that is a really nice plane. Can't wait. ✈
Very excited for you Brother. I know you’ve been waiting for this jet. I’m sure I’ll have it one day myself. However, it doesn’t look like your poor A-10 will ever be finished now with decals. 🤣
Ant man I am so glad you got the BLUE ANGLES version this is the one I would get as well and I too would tribute to the KUSS. Sad to see him go down. You can keep the KUSS ALIVE congratulations on your new jet Anthony enjoy. ✌🏼😎✌🏽
Hey, watz up Ricky!! Man, the J-10 was a crash and burn on the maiden. The wheels came while zipping down the runway, which was a known issue on that jet. Pete, at Banana Hobby sold it to me at the AMA Expo in Cali. So he personally made HSD give me a new one. I assembled it but then turned around and sold it. I didn’t trust that plane, especially after realizing how tough it is to fly and being able to keep it stable. Most guys, from what I can tell, have lost that plane.
@@flyingant2557 Howdy Ant hope you are doing good...I came upon Richard's J10 video and saw your comment that you had one...sorry for the crash...you said your gear collaped...any who...I saw Bannana hobby had some at big discounts and bought one Saturday...I am guessing now its a problem child...we shall see.....hope to see your F18 video soon sir
Texas seems to be where most people are moving to over the past 5-7 years. It’s a great place to live and work, as well as raising a family. Having plenty of flying sites is a bonus! If you move to Irvingk (which is where I live and work), there are a few places to fly within 30 minutes or so. I fly at N. Dallas RC Club, which is in Aubrey. We also fly at the former Dallas Cowboys Texas Stadium parking lot...that is until they decide to turn it into homes and businesses. We’ve flown there the past 2 years when we sporadically decide to want to fly. There is also another field we fly from every now and then. It’s called 114th RC Aero Squadron Field. From Irving it’s about 25-30 minutes drive time. The distance isn’t far at all, it’s just the city drive time past the airport. I’ve never been to this one, but Waco has a really nice field from what I’m told. Lots of guys drive down to Waco for the many events they have. There are around 5-6 others in the DFW area as well. Lewisville, Richardson, Fort Worth, etc. All about 30 minutes to an hour from Irving. Let us know if you decide to make the move.
Just got back from Dallas to pick up my wife visiting her sons. I did not get a chance to check out the places you mentioned. Looked them up on the computer and the NDRCC seems to be the nicest one with their paved runway. Talking with my wife again she mentioned Farmers Market NE of the airport. I'm ready to leave Shreveport now but our move will not be for another 12 months at least. That is because she is looking at retiring from the school system then. I'm retired military/ school teacher. Dusty (also my nick name, lol) does not begin to describe how long it's been since I've flown. I let my AMA expire because of it. I know I need to renew it and most likely will if I can get a chance to fly at the NDRCC field. Maybe you can be my mentor. :-) I have 11 planes; three props and 8 jets. Two of the jets are duplicates so I only count them as one and say 6. I have two F-15E's (foam) I purchased from a guy in Russia And two laser cut SU-33's I purchased from a guy in Australia. The SU they don't sell any more. I call it the beast because it has its own room being six feet long and only 80% complete. Maybe you can test fly it for me when I come that way. I can't finish it now because it's too big. The F-15 has not been started because of its size to; 1/10th. It has a different type of stick pins and foam construction. Check out the pic's and you'll see what I'm talking about. This is the site to bought it from (aerotetris.com/gianni.html). I have the 1800mm model. I put together a pamphlet of about 70 pages of some instructions and pictures. If you know of anyone up to the challenge I'd be willing to get one of the F-15's. It's designed to take two 90mm edf's. There would be no postage / shipping charge, just my gas to come that way. Second subject; the mixes for the Freewing F-18C you asked RCjetdude about from Shaquille James, did you ever get a response? I tried to find him on FaceBook but no-joy. If you did can you send me the link to his page on the F-18?
James Rhodes Hey there James, it would be awesome, and you are more than welcome to join us sometime at NDRCC. Let us know when you’ll be back and we’ll make arrangements to meet up there. Your list of planes sound impressive. If you haven’t flown in a long while it would definitely be best to get your fingers and your bearings back on a light trainer because they’re very forgiving. It wouldn’t take long at all for it to come back to you. Yes, I know Farmers Branch really well. I used to live there, and I worked there there for a few years. Looking forward to meeting you sometime.
Flying and crashed his plane that's why there's no further videos of it. First batch of blue angels they came out and everybody was crashing them due to electrical problems with the elevator. Too bad what a beautiful plane though.
Carlos, I'm not familiar with who you are, but please don't troll my channel like that. You've made an incorrect assumption and are reporting "Fake News". But, I must hand it to you...that was a very good assumption, and in most cases that was probably the right assumption. I have certainly enjoyed getting to know this jet. The truth is, I simply haven't had time to get to film it. Whatever short flying time I have had to fly it, I haven't had a camera man. "Bummer". I was able to manage a small video shot by my son a few months, and will post it whenever I get the chance. Carlos, I really appreciate you following my channel, but please don't troll me brother. Thanks
