@DoctorRamadi what if I found myself in a situation where I did in fact 'call out the narcissist' after enduring a bit all too much "crazy making" by the narcissist I am referring to... this individual was in the midst of throwing a tantrum while I was in the car and I "threw down my towel," "I did me" as you mentioned at the end of the video hah.. I am commenting because I felt impulsive as I called this person out, it definitely created a wedge in a relationship and lastly I feel a good amount of shame as I have to hold myself accountable for legit spelling out the $#!* (thank you for your insights and time if you catch my comment)

Seems to me that people in jail no matter what their age is regardless if they have dementia might start behaving in the same ways when feeling bored, frustrated and disoriented when not having enough choices in how they spend time. People with dementia may be struggling with unpredictable and undetected by them over time loss of their sensory abilities making it harder for them to adjust in long term care which is offen structured too much like a jail in that kind of wing. Sad when a nursing home which tries to revolutionize their sevices by taking their clients all out for a walk (or an outing in their wheel chair) once a day gets shut down by the city who then orders a stop sign to be put way too much closer to the sidewalk. I saw that happen on a block where a nursing home is.

The assumption that "uninvolved siblings" are fixated on inheritance or are negligent are false assumptions. I am sure you have heard the tale many times, but please consider this. I moved to be closer to my aging parent, who lives in a nursong home. He was even more disrespectful, quarrelsome, sexually inappropriate, and verbally abusive to me than I remembered him to be. Despite this, I continued to look after him But my sibling, who lives here, did not like it. She told him some lies about me, which he believed. So I withdrew, and became that "uninvolved sibling," in order to protect myself from manipation and abuse by my family members. I am sure there are many others in situations similar to mine (narcissistic family members). Being uninvolved can be a survival strategy.

They lack empathy and exhibit a host of behaviors that are toxic and damaging to the health and well-being of the people around them. Being concerned with your own interests is not narcissistic.

This is really bad advice. If you know they're narcissistic, run don't walk. RUN! Set them up in a care facility, whatever, just run. You can do everything they say in the video but it won't mean squat! Run, Forrest, Run!

As a child, I seriously thought that my mother could die of grief if I disappointed her. Later in life, it was a revelation that not only did she survive my every outburst of independence, but she actually behaved semi-respectfully for a while after - once she was done with the theatrics of sighing and moaning very loudly.
