And they brought it back to the Hosue
Watching the two, I can not believe Wayne got an award for that. Wayne's "acting" pales in comparison to Bridges' talents. The writing in 2010's dialog was far more intellectually humorous. I did not laugh once watching the older version.
John Wayne was a week version, sorry to say
Sir yes sir. I love history. Have you been to the Texas State Cemetery?
The 1980 Made for TV movie "The Ordeal Of Dr Mudd" is very good.
El tiempo pasa, aunque corras te alcanza...
There's so much I want to say on this, but I'll just say I loved both movies.....There's so much great acting going on from some awesome stars...Yes, they bring you right into the story without you even knowing it....And at the same time Glen Campbell showed how a novice actor can take you out of a story much quicker than you can get into one....But I've always loved Glen Campbell....A friend of mind who was watching the movie with me said... Nothing's so ignorant than a person who's out of their field....About 10 years ago or when Blu-Ray first came out and the picture, even the sound was so much improved....I was in heaven....I ordered the first True Grit with John Wayne......Here's what I'm trying to say..... The DVD had so much behind the scenes and what I loved the most was when they scouted out the locations for the movie....Some of those places are still there....All you have to do is jump in your car and drive...I didn't think it was so many beautiful places on this planet...Check out the Blu-Ray DVD....The behind the scenes is worth the money..., Oh yeah.....(Ever Stalwart) was used in True Grit, the remake....When I heard it....I got chills......That was class from the director brothers.....I think anyone in law enforcement, especially in Washington DC...Should live by this rule...I don't know how some of them can stand looking at themselves in the mirror.
Very sad đ
B-29? Probably a B-24.
Itâs a B-24. It is correct in the description, I just misspoke.
The new True Grit has no General Sterling Price !!
Very true!!
I want to meet Mark Schneider now I love that historical reenactor too much
He is amazing. You can meet him anytime in Colonial Williamsburg!!! â€ïžđ«đ·đșđž
@@WalkwithHistory I thought you could contact him and tell him that I would like to meet him if you know him, tell him that I'm waiting for his friend request on Facebook or do you have his telephone contact?
Play stupid games win stupid prizes đ
Your analysis of these 2 movies is spot on. Both are very good movies. 2010 has the better acting by supporting characters and cinematography and ending. But that is to be expected with the technology available and the differences in acting styles from the 60s to today. The 1969 version can be nostalgic for having Wayne, Duvall, Campbell and Hopper. But the 1969 version is the better version because, despite all the positive elements in the 2010 version, a movie is only as good as your lead character, and Wayne was by far the best Rooster.

Thanks what about Lee Marvin
Check out our first Arlington video đ Movie Stars at Arlington and other Famous Historical Figures czcams.com/video/vfXOrzZxbcs/video.html
I think Audie Murphy is 2 most viewed grave after JFK and Lee Marvin is way up there to
Simply Beautiful stories

Cemetaries are a repository of history. Our National Cemetaries tell the story of our nation and the price paid by those to ensure that a government of the people, by the people and for the people shall never perish.from this earth.

Duvall is in this way more than Hopper...weird he seems ignored

For heavens sake! If you want to talk about the book at all READ IT! You canât make suppositions about what is, or is not in the book if you havenât read it. The medicine man was NOT in the book.
Definitely a lesson learned as weâve had other commenters point hat out as well. đ Thanks for watching đ

My favorite actor hands down he reminds me of my dad.â€
Interesting information about Stonewall Jackson but why did you have to add that loud and annoying humming sounf in the backgound (3:08+).
Thank you for the feedback on the music. And thank you for watching đ

Greatest generation, sadly very few of them left. From a British veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. Recently watched the 80th anniversary commemoration of D Day and the testimony of those veterans that are still with us. God bless them all. We did a tour of the Normandy beaches a few years ago and also visited some of the many cemeteries there. Very emotional experience.
Just got to go to the 80th anniversary of D Day at Normandy...so emotional. We have some more great videos coming...thank you for watching!
Just saw yâall at the safari in tn

Lost their lives saving democracy.
Man, the advertisement is the most dated thing about either. Wow.... the pattern of it seems so funny now.
I know right! It made me laugh đ€Ł
Here's a suggestion: if you can do it! If you ever go to Arlington again, and you can get ahold of a roll of challenge coins from your old unit, leaving a challenge coin would be another way of saying that you were there!
We are planning on designing our own Walk with History Challenge Coins bc I am no longer with a Command to have a coin representing!!
I played in the yard of the museum, because my uncle worked at that Gin. My other uncle worked at the store.
no way!
@@WalkwithHistory yep! My uncle worked there when it was a cotton gin, after that, they made the museum. Just talked to my mom, and she told me, they did not talk about it at all to them. She was there., she should have been 18 yrs old. She moved to the midwest in the 70's. That's crazy, I crossed that bridge, and never knew. I was born 5 years later, down the road, mom never talked about it, said she didn't know until later, and just heard bids, and pieces then. She wasn't born there but she lived there. I always felt some type of way about that bridge though. Was always reluctant to cross, just never felt safe, I probably picked up something in my spirit. Just like now, things are happening to me that is a divine thing, so I'm ending this saying, love everyone guys, Jesus is coming soon, we must repent, and change to be what he wants us to be in him, Get Jesus, he is on the way. I'm experiencing evidence of his coming.
near my house! omg!

Thatâs berry pepper not Ben foster
Yup! We misspoke and corrected ourselves in the video description. Thank you for watching! đ
Why you not put Audie Murphy here ? The most decorated soldier in ww2?
Audie Murphy is featured in our very first video from Arlington, with Audie Murphy on the thumbnail with Maureen OHara!!! Check it out and let us know what you think.
Been to Arlington to visit my namesakes grave
Greatest Generation! From what I can tell Maj. Dick Winters was a truly noble soul - he possessed a deep humanity that clearly comes out in all the interviews I have seen to date. The love he had for his men was rivalled only by his outstanding leadership ability. A natural leader, an insightful tactician, an impeccable soldier, a great American. Thank you for your contribution to his memory here đ„đđșđž
Thank you! He was certainly amazing.
Thank you. It's fun to learn where these "common sayings"

People are sick in the heads to break into a crypt for a dead corpse
Ill leave my phone number- incase he wats to ring me lol
I never visit Arlington without stopping to pay respects to Audie Murphy
đđđ»
When you said influencers I was going to switch off but then realised what you were talking about.
Yeah. I had to use that word bc of the lady that influenced Bat Man.
I've seen both movies, but I've never read the book. In the book, did Mattie first encounter Rooster while he was taking a shit? Did Mattie climb a tree and cut down a corpse? Did Mattie and Rooster encounter a "dentist" that collected corpses?
Not sure about the first twoâŠbut I we had a lot of comments of book reader who said the âdentistâ wasnât in the book. đ
THIS WILL NEVER BE PUT IN ANY HISTORY BOOKS IN AMERICA
My quest is to change that. Thank you for watching.
