Why corn oil? What would be a traditional light colored/flavored oil? The tempering of the chili oil reminds me of tempering eggs and hot milk.

We use msg here in Philippines also, even when back in the states. I do not believe the lie about the msg, its a pure leaf and it was harvest and turned it into the seasoning crystals. Japan product and i will keep using jt.

You might want to switch to a Non-Chinese Source of Chinese Style of Food (same food, but from a different source). Currently 90 percent of China's Groundwater is unfit to drink, and pollution is unregulated; so your food might be contaminated with pollutants. Just letting you know.

I know nothing of Cantonese cuisine or tradition, but I love learning and trying other cultures. This is the first video of yours that I've found and I really love all of the extra background you explain. Especially, how you properly teach how to make it while pointing out changes that can be made to the recipe while still remaining true. Everyone obviously has different preferences and taste buds, but I'm always scared of diviating too far from the recipe and accidentally turning it into something else. So thank you for all of the information you give, I really appreciate it.
