DOCTOR EXPLAINS: How to Build Real Self-Confidence
VIDEO SUMMARY: To sum it up, we need to Prioritize certain tasks because the way our brains work, we will lose our skill growth and tracking and we will experience slow growth. But if we focus on 1 or two things consistently in seasons, we will experience great growth and great results. Make sure we are able to do this with having Energy, by eating right (no refined carbs or highly processed foods), sleep, and sweet spot of exercise. And then Psychologically we need to understand that everyday matters to our long term success and you're either making yourself expontentially go down or up by either doing consistently bad things or good things. Be afriad that you are waisting today because that is a sign you're on the path of living a nightmare.
Jeevan, you have the potential to get millions of subs. All you need to do is do effective targeted marketing to people who need to see this (consult). Could you possibly create a website where we can test and quiz ourselves on these things so we can make sure we are learning it?
finally something genuine and not some grindset hustle-bro bs dragged out to 30 min
Doctor your advise is 1000 times more valuable and practical than these internet philosophers and self help guru. But this video was something I already know.
I do not understand how emotions would cause a lack of discipline. Most athletes use emotions to create the desire to practice and excel. The emotion of caring for family members is why people work at jobs they dislike which takes a lot of discipline. We hear of "successful" people who are cold-blooded anti-social psychopaths . Yet they are considered a "success" because they have money or the control of other people.
That's not discipline. That's motivation. Very different. People who rely on the "emotions" to do the work will find it very difficult to continue what they started should these emotions die off, which they most certainly can in the case of burn out, psychiatric medications, addictive substances, lack of proper nutrition, exercise, sleep,... the list goes on. I am speaking from experience.
@@user-ur6uw6vn9t Your reply makes no sense.
Neither do I... 😢
You can use emotions as a fuel initially but for long term you need to make your prefrontal cortex stronger than your limbic system.
@@user-eo1vk I have one voice in my mind, it is who I am . I am an emotion (thought) created by electrical impulses. I ran long distances. When I would "hit a wall" I would struggle threw it until I regained energy but always kept running. There was never a "prefrontal cortex" intervention that I know of.
No BS advice means : No bullshit advice. I didn't knwo it before. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Nice no-BS advice! Glad I stumbled upon this channel randomly 😉. Subscribed!
After listening to this video I’m kind of relieved to know that being distracted can actually be a good thing that can prolong your life by keeping you out of danger. But, yes, prolonging your concentration can also be healthy as well. Thank you for this video! 😊
You are not bad, I was able to watch all of it, and beleive me that's something
Very good
Thanks a lot for your advice ! Keep going man. But what does it mean NO BS ? I didn't get it sorry ^^'
💯 agreed Doc. I've tried all this stuff and I can confirm from experience that he's absolutely right.
An advice- increase the brightness of your video
“”Doing this channel””. I would hate myself if I didn’t do. Goat
Always got truth nobody talks about. Quite realistic though, keep it up
Lol, "I've spent the past decade at Cambridge" being turned into a brainwashed drone and I'm proud of it. Talk on the impacts of electromagnetic interference from 5G devices, TVs, etc on brain function instead
Your content is great. Thanks
Thank you for your videos - they’re very enjoyable and informative. I love the way you cut straight to the heart of the matter, (‘Fix your life!’) I’m hoping that one day you might cover the subject of being caring and compassionate to yourself in a competitive, capitalistic world. Many thanks again.
I'm not addicted to phone, but I can't stop judgin myself for not reaching the almost impossible goal I set.
GR8
You give best advice among all because your advice are scientific and practical
I'm not sure whether I can get to end of the video ;-)
You should write a book about these things bro. Great advice.
Epic content bro
👏❤️
I use my laptop. And yesterday I used it from 6:30am to midnight. I have a multitude of things I should do, some not so repulsive (practicing music) some mundane (cleaning, organising. I have laundry set out to dry and not put away.......from about 10 days ago). I avoid doing things I know I should do, some of them pleasurable (music practice, reading, exercising, going for a walk). I just don't do the things I know would benefit me.
I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. How i deal with my anxiety is to drink copious amounts of tea. It's a better problem to have.
Such a great video ! Keep it up 😊
Do you have any specific advice for porn and sexual addiction?
Love your content man! It's amazing to have one who is credible and educated in neuroscience to discuss these topics. All of these CZcams shorts these days just give their advice based only on anecdotal experience and no science-based evidence. So thank you. Can you do a video (for informational purposes only) on how one might overcome low energy, apathy, low motivation, etc. under the case of external forces (antipsychotics, hard elicit drugs that may permanently destroy brain receptors and chemicals, etc.)
You have great advice, can you just change your titles to be less clickbaity
Best video on youtube
Few truer words on this subject ever have been said before. True no BS advice. My own life improved so much after I disconnected from toxic people.
It's very common to see families sitting at a restaurant table and all of them are looking at their phone. There is no interaction . They're are all in their phone fantasy world. Any "conversation" is considered an interruption.
I was at lunch with my sister and I told her it was rude to be on her phone while we were at lunch. She told me I was being rude by saying that.
As a 54yr old man, it's really weird to see this broken down this way and realize not everyone knows this already. What exactly are they teaching kids if not basic info like this.
Narcoleptic here, I had to learn this by experience. It’s spot on with explaining my life. Thank you.
So simple and so helpful ! I love the tip about planning your next day ahead of time ! Thanks for sharing this info
great stuff! and i actually feel kicked to try this! thanks!
Thanks for this video, and thanks for not asking me to "click an subscribe". I subscribed and am going through your whole catalog.
Great video. Something I noticed is that most people are very much attached to their ideas about who they are, even if those ideas are ruining their life. I learned that it's possible to run "different software on the same hardware", simply by imagining what another person would say or do. e.g. you can talk to wise people in your imagination, and come up with more significantly better ideas than you would "on your own." Similarly, you can also bypass the self-concept by means of acting. (Method acting.) For example, back in high school I was struggling with my math homework. I just couldn't get into it. I asked myself, "how does John do it?" (John is the kind of guy who reads all the school books for fun as soon as they arrive in the mail.) Then I thought. Hang on... how _does_ John do it? I tried to imagine doing homework from his point of view. Everything would be different. My thoughts, my feelings, my body language. I pretended to be John for an hour, and got my work done with effortless ease. Then I got so weirded out by the experience, I never did it again.
not act on it, oh if I only knew, lol
Hold on though. I you only surround yourself with people who give you energy, and say goodbye to people who take energy, then you become someone who only takes energy. There's got to be reciprocity, otherwise you're just creating a shit world for other people. It's possibly for 1+1 to equal 3, when two or more people with compatible goals and strategies find ways of collaborating and accomplishing each of their goals. That's where the leverage and the integrity really are. Instead of being the shitbird who depletes others' energy, or giving your energy to people whose priorities work against yours (what you're calling people who deplete energy), or exchanging equal energy with the wrong people (zero gain for either person), the key is identifying people with similar enough priorities, and learning to work with them in ways where each person's work enriches the other's. Then, both people walk away with more than they gave. Make a video on that.
I realy apreciate this explanation. Thank you😊
I howled when he used the revenue / cost example - is he gujarati by any chance 😅😂😂😂
having watched a lot of videos on this topic. I can say this is the best explanation of the problem and the best solution.
this explains my ideas on how to live life very well
TL:DR procrastination is the oxygen thief
Some people are energy vampires
