ive used 8 pound Spiderwire stealth camo on my light ultralight rigs and 15 on my medium and 20 on my medium heavy rods not had an issue just switched to J Braid grand 8x and it seems to be just about same good as the Spiderwire and i always tied on a Spiderwire Ultimate mono lead and i cant find that leader anymore so i switched to Yo zuri florocarbon and it is as close to the ultimate mono from spiderwire as im going to find

Thank you very much! I was able to understand and rebuild the anti reverse on my Shimano Aernos 4000, it was out of service for years! And now i really need a 4000 and your video was perfect! I really appreciated it (PS: im a moron a greased the anti reverse springs/rollers, its doing ok, ive not used it extensively yet) But my anti reverse is working!!! Amazing! 😊😘

For those just tuning in like me in 2024 it hasn’t gotten any better I’ve used both suffix 832 and beyond braid 8x and the difference is night and day beyond braid just feels like garbage

Owned the Keyshaw and it broke after 2 weeks. Literally fell apart. My 6.99 SOG key blade, not the one here, the one that looks like a key, it has lasted me for over 6 years with everyday use. It’s honestly incredible

Greatly appreciated, 1 recommendation can you show how to put the tiny spring on the top side in? I am talking about the one with the little U hook. In addition, there is a CERTAIN @37:45 side about that black plastic gear (which drives the level wind). On on side the straight edge inside the ring recessed a little but, I believe that side bite onto the brass bass underneath it. Anyway great job on editing and videoshooting.

I have battle 2 4000, spinfisher v 5500 and penn 105 vintage never been service for almost a decade . I abused it and sometimes forgot to wash with fresh water and still smooth like new

Hello I have an older zillion 1514 and it has cuts in the top of t wing how do I fix adjust that please caused I think by braid cutting into it

Isn't there supposed to be a bearing attached to the bottom of the brass gear? My 3000 has a ball bearing attached to the bottom of it's brass gear.

My line roller is defective unfortunately it feels like theirs sand or something in it and I’ve barley used it

I will never understand how subtle changes in the conditions ( oil ) malfunction this system. I cleaned up all the oil it works but a lot of friction noise. The last time I tore apart the reel, I had to use some oil and it worked, this time it doesn't work which is weird.

Older video, but still relevant. I just bought Daiwa BG 4500 and 2500. Have only fished the 2500 so far. I have 8 lb mono on it and it casts far and reels smooth. Both BGs have excellent line lay with mono, 15 lb on the 4500. I also just bought a Fuego 4000 LT. I am outfitting to start light surf fishing in NC, haven’t gone yet. I have 20 lb braid on one spool and 15 lb mono on the other. Both have excellent line lay. Hope they fish well.
