I just picked up a Diawa Ballistic 6000LT he spun up some 30lb super power pro and matched it with a 10’6” Trophy 2 ! I just love it! Last rod I bought was 30 years ago! What a difference in feel !

Totally unrelated question but any advice for an 8’ conventional rod to match up with a torque 12 star drag? Would ideally be using it to cast big plugs off the boat for bass and occasionally blackfishing with it. I appreciate any help
