Taking the Vstar 250 on the freeway… AGAIN
Been thinking of getting into bikes and I’m getting to the point I’m going to start saving, Thank you for the review
I Just Bought A 2008 V Star In Florida Today 250.00 With Florida Title
A 5 minute video took foreeeeeeeever...
The bike is great. I have one. It's the video that socks. Says everything two or three times
ill never understand why people choose to keep their stock shitty sounding muffler on their motorcycles
I bet everybody in California is thinking you have the right idea!
Just bought mine 2 months ago n stopped working after 2 rides … :/ been working on it and nada

Who really plays this fcking game
What game?
@@ranzy7214 this shitty game called World of Tanks
@@dergubap is that a console version of WoT? I used to play WoT on pc, it look different than WoT I used to play before
I have an '89 Virago 205 and it probably only has 15 hp. It can reach 125-130 kph...but it is screaming
I prefer to ride the speed limit or take the side roads and enjoy my ride.
The problem is that on some roads, and cities, if you ride the speed limit, you become a road hazard, especially during commuter hours. Yes, I realize that in many areas, you can never get up to the speed limit during rush hour.
You'll never see a dog or cat going that fast at night.
Does it have factory sprockets or did you change those out
it has factory sprockets
I think you shoulda bought it. Do u remember the price & mileage?
i do not, i was a poster at harley davidson and i got to test ride bikes after they were worked on and tell the mechanic what’s wrong with it if anything
Shouldn't be going that fast on the freeway anyways. Most Freeways top speed is gonna be 65-70. Even on a 250 there's no reason to speed. Speeding is an open door to accidents especially if you have to avoid something on the road
That might be what is posted. Have you been on many freeways lately?
It's interesting that this is faster than the newer design Royal Enfield 350. As long as the engine is not near the redline or over it, there is nothing to worry about regarding engine speed because it is operating within its design specifications. Did you do any sprocket modifications? Is the motorcycle smooth at highway speed or are your hands and feet buzzing? This seems like a great little motorcycle for those of us who don't like 400 pound and larger motorcycles.
i do not have sprocket mods everything on the bike is stock, and yes i will feel my hands and feet buzzing after a while of riding on the freeway
Come on only 400cc to 500cc bare minimum is safe for the highway or fast 50 mph State routes. Sand litter and crosswind gusting from oncoming 53' semis is too dangerous at those speeds for lighter bikes. 250 V Star is excellent for 25 mph inner city to 35 mph residential to 40 mph slow Pikes and 4 lane shopping complexes/restaurants/auto dealers with no passenger bitch riding
If filming a video review about a bike or anything really nighttime isn't the very best time to do it.
Bro wtf
I bought a Raven Black metallic '18 XV250. Another hip replacement last summer and I can finally get back to ridin'...ridin' ridin'...
Hope your okay at least.
That’s my bike , I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video but it’s so entertaining. It’s my only one and first bike that I has become like a child to me
Steering head bearings.
I'm thinking of getting a new bike after owning a honda shadow vt500c from 1983. I think the vstar 250 might fit the bill. Its a beauty! Thank you for sharing the pros and cons!
I used to have a Ninja 250 and rode highway exclusively; 100mph no problem.
Top speed sir?
I hit 90 mph before completely topping out the bike
U need a new bike
Luckily for me this wasn’t my bike. When I was working for harely as a Porter this was a customer bike that I had to test drive after repairs
Harley^
I have a 2023 250 Virago, have had it on the freeway 75 mph. It does wind up, it doesn't have a tach? 58 to 60-65 mph feels ok. I drive a road with 55 speed limit and get passed all the time at near or about 60. Keep an eye on the rear view I've been passed in my lane while riding on the right side of it. If I hadn't been glancing at the mirror and decided to ride the middle of lane I'd be road kill! I've programmed no highways, trying for slower road traffic and was taken on a 10 mile shortcut through sugar sand. I'm 70 yrs old with a bad hip handicapped plate. I wouldn't be able to hold a heaver bike up if it leaned to the left. 250 will have to do.. it will do 70-75+ engine rpms seem to high but it is built in a country where allot of the engines are made to wind up??
you don't need a fuel gauge your petcock has a reserve valve
your clutch cable needs to be oiled with light machine oil
I own a 1992 café racer version of this bike called the SRV which I have restored. Yamaha produced this bike to honor the café racers of the early sixties in the UK. It boasts 27 horsepower due to Twin Mikuni carburetors and high performance cams. You can check it out on Google
Used rubber o rings and seals can be Highly Carcinogenic, I wouldn't handle them without gloves.
I read there was a recall on the 2020s for something?
That aint a death wobble thats a common thing in beat up bikes were if you let go of the handlebars it woobles
Long drive wid it
Bros going the speed limit 😭😭🙏
😂😂😂
That place is sick
A fork brace and a balanced wheel will help. I've never experienced it, must be lucky.
Last time my Virago 250 was leaking oil or was the gasket on the stator cover.
i have owned four Goldwings that would do it at around 37mph.
There's something going on that isn't allowing the front and rear wheels to be sufficiently parallel. And the cruiser design constantly un-weights the front, which makes the effect worse.
That was a good answer
my guess would be bent forks
@@xander4218 I've got bent forks and this never happened to me under any condition. If it's what op suggests it's most likely in the rear.
First person I've seen actually handle a wobble properly, great work!
its not hard when you're going 40mph bro
As if handling it properly isn't to pull over
I think that is a Buick Electra 225 or duece and a quarter if ya in the hood
Wait, there was no damage to either of your car is, and neither one of you got hurt. Why would you want to call out over that?
be honest w/ that it was my pride 😅
Damn
I own the same bike what cell phone holder did you get
it some random bicycle phone holder i got from walmart. i didn’t really see the name of brand
I just changed front sprocket from 17 to 18(16 was original) and I hit 90 indicated.
Am 5,7 1/2 maybe fit for this bike
My 2020 V-star 250 I have changed the front sprocket to a 17 tooth & I drive on the Utah freeways all the time. The other day I had to slow down at 91 mph because of cars in front of me, but I could have gone faster except for traffic.
I know death wobbles at 80/100/120 mph but 40mph?
something on the suspension wasn’t put in correctly from one of the mechanics and i was the lucky one to test drive it lol
You can get a death wobble at any speed. I've gotten my first one at 40 mph by setting down a wheelie wrong
@@dovaiS I think wind was too much, i can't think of any other reason
at 40mph its called minor injury wobble
