Just shorts bursts of energy the Vstar 250 can give you. Not the fastest but definitely fun even so. Like comment and subscribe if you enjoyed the video and I’ll catch everyone in the next video!
I bought me a 2017 vstar 250 for 2.8k with a bit over 500 miles on it. I absolutely love it. I've been riding for 2 months now and what I love is it's so light. There's times I would've tipped it but I'm able to hold it and lift it right back up. It's got a great feel to it and making me love riding more and more.
The fact that you hit 85 MPH on the Yamaha VStar 250 says a lot. I have a Yamaha Stryker, it's 1340cc and I've never ridden above 70 mph, not because it can't do it, I've never had a reason to go that fast, so the fact that the 250 CAN do it in the first place tells me it's enough bike for everyday riding.
@@raritymotovlogs900 haha I can respect the cruiser guys any day, my grandfather was a Yamaha/Harley guy, but my dad was a sport biker. I think I'll probably run both !
Hey man I’m taking my MSF in SoCal this weekend and am looking to get this bike. I think you’re in the area, which dealership did you get it from? Trying to get an idea of where to purchase. Thanks brother!
I wish you the best of luck! And I got my bike at Del Amo in Long Beach. It was about $5k for it so wasn’t too bad. But if you do plan on getting this bike I would suggest maybe starting off on a 400. The vstar is a beautiful bike but once your skills grow and the more you ride you’re gonna want more bike over time
@@raritymotovlogs900 Thanks man! I thought of getting a Rebel 500 too, but it’ll probably be close to $8K OTD. Honestly, I’m not into it for the speed and I have kids so I want a first bike that won’t get me in any trouble. Your channel has made the V star very appealing. I do want a cruiser as a first and it looks killer. Not really sure I’m sold on the look of the Rebel, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of variety at this price point and style of bike…is that right?
I haven’t seen many small cruisers really. You can go for the Vstar 650. They’re also beginner friendly and it has the power to have fun on, be comfortable, and has the looks but I’m not sure what the price point on that is, plus I really only seen 1 while I was looking for my first bike so I’m guessing they’re somewhat hard to find. But if you can’t find that then yes the vstar 250 will do perfectly
@@raritymotovlogs900 Thanks so much. Yea, there’s not really a lot which is so surprising since I think there is a market for it. Anyway really excited to start riding. Subscribed before 75 I think, and loving your channel! Keep up the good content!
@@joseolaguera7785 we live in AZ in the Phoenix area. I purchased it from a local motorcycle dealership, we got one pre-owned with only 50 miles on it. We love it. My husband can ride it comfortably, he is 6'4" but I can very easily maneuver it at well and I'm only 5'1".
@@kschneider8340 that’s great! I’m in SoCal and the other bike I was considering (Rebel 500) is out of stock everywhere. I prefer the looks of the V Star and wonder what it’s like riding at 70 mph. Do you feel ok at around that speed or do you wish you had more power? For context I do not want to ride fast (have kids to think about), but I do want to be able to keep up with some traffic. Not planning to do much freeway riding and on LA during commute times the traffic is so slow anyway.
@@joseolaguera7785 I havent taken it on the freeway yet. The roads I usually take are around 50. I thought about the rebel as well, It looks great, but I didnt think my husband could fit on it if he wanted go ride it. But I like the look of the v star and the price was a bonus. It suits my needs!

Did you keep the OEM bars on it or swap em for the old school virago bars?
I bought a Raven Black metallic '18 XV250. Another hip replacement last summer and I can finally get back to ridin'...ridin' ridin'...
I bought a 2022 vstar 250 and I gotta say it’s a great bike, fun as fuck and super fuel efficient

Of course I would never do 85 for a long period of time i don’t want something flying through the gas tank and into me you know lol
Man it's either gonna be this vstar you're showing in these vids or a ninja 250 when I get my license. Can't decide!
cough cough vstar 👀

I’ve been wanting to put a tach on mine. I’ve wound the engine pretty high in 2nd and 3rd. I wish 1st wasn’t so short of a gear
I've heard of people fixing that by exchanging the stock sprockets for a 17/40 and getting better gear range and better gas mileage. Just a thought.
That a Sunday in San Pedro? Where the big rigs at? 😂👍🏽
They all sleep lmao

I’m also pretty short too haha like 5’4” on a good day so I need a lower bike haha

I just bought this bike!
Awesome! Where did you get it from? How are you liking it so far?

Is your bike stock?
100%
Dont get a ticket just for content sake....its not worth it.
no worries we do cop checks around here 😁
Gutless. Tops out at 75 mph and only has 4 gears. I just test rode a customer's bike. They're slow.
