    Could there be a possiblity of putting the goodies from the patreon in a bundle like a supporter pack? So future people that play can purchase and also purchase for their friends. Like I missed out on the kickstarter thus the fox pet but if that was in a supporter pack on steam i'd buy for myself and friends

    I think having golems of the different ore types would be cool and have them have different weaknesses. Since it'll be farmlands dungeon can have in addition to the stone golem a copper, gold, deep iron and even a cobalt golem. Can reskin them and maybe have a single unique skill each. A side room in the dungeon can host all of them and can encourage players to bring friends as soloing them all would be difficult. Thanks for posting to youtube as I missed stream and can watch in pieces! Will eventually watch whole video and offer other suggestions. My friends and i love the game!

    I think for your book enemy an "elite" version or big version could shoot cursed pages at you instead of fire balls or perhaps flop to the ground and spead an AOE across the floor underneath it. Glad to see you back in the swing of things again :)

    Any plans to actually release Swords 'n Magic out of early access instead of making more content packs? Seems like most of the community feedback is that the game has been abandoned, so it may be a good idea to commit to full release.

    Please feel free to take this if you so chose, do away with skill trees!!! Use a master skill list and a hidden skill list map out every skill example single hand Sword skills: basic one hand, novice one hand, skilled one hand, apprentice one had, master one hand, and legendary one hand. each level gives a % boost to the equipped sword damage. do this with all skills, bows, daggers, magic, and any other skill you can think of, then give all your bosses special skills and let the players earn though skills by beating them of course as a RD these will be your hidden skill list, as well as skills you can get from special events and from items. skills are all blank at start you use a sword you build points in that skill to progress in it and they need to be lofty goals the higher an enemy is above you the more points can be earned. your states str, hp, mp....go up by levels skills by use. so if you want to me a magic base you have to use magic. This allows you to build how you play and seek out special skills to improve your build. this also forces grinding over basic leveling cause your skills will net better results vs base stats. Think of it like the skill list from SAO. Side recommendation earned gear gives state bosts, out of game bought gear is only cosmetic skins and boss and even gear only gets visual effects. encouraging work over buying but still gives custom options. also coloring options should be extensive its a lot better to specialize the gear you have vs changing the gear you have. example boots have body color, soul color, lace color tung color, and stincile options you can do a lot with a basic look with color and stincle patterns. that way a common item is not so common.

      Hey! Cool ideas. Not sure they'll fit in my game though. I'd have to refactor a lot of existing systems to make some of that work. And it's very similar to the way we already haven't leveling up. I think the skill trees are going to be very fun when they're finished so I'm gonna stay the course for now. Plus, they're almost ready to release.

    Hey just bought and played the game and while I did have fun, just a small point of criticism; the world felt very empty in terms of the NPCs, in the starting island camp its suppose to be an outpost for these bandits but you only meet like 3 of them, and the boss fight felt very empty... I would suggest adding spectators and more ambient sounds of cheering and talking. This is a similar feeling in the open world town, where it's very cool that there's a lot of npcs walking around and there's a ton of them everywhere but there's still this emptiness feeling, and I think it's another sound thing, I feel like these npcs should talk outloud to each other, wave at each other every now and again, laugh, cheer, emote... the world LOOKS like it's bustling with life, but it doesn’t sound like it. I did enjoy it, and I do plan on playing more, I'm a suckered for indie early access games, but I know that as it stands the game won't be very attractive to my friends who are big rpg guys.

      Thanks for the heads up and I'm glad you're enjoying the game! Unfortunately I don't have the budget for voice acting and it's harder than you'd think to get NPCs to interact in such a way so that likely won't ever be a priority, but I'll keep it in mind for sure. As far as the orcs it's explained why there aren't many in the training camp via dialog. And having a bunch of NPCs cheering would be cool... But what do you do when the flight is over? Do they just stand there? Can you attack them? Performance might also hiccup having a bunch of animated NPCs in such a small area. And also voice acting is really difficult once again. I think you'll find that while, no, the game isn't a hardcore RPG, it's a lot deeper than you think. Why wouldn't your friend be into it? Do you guys have other multiplayer open world RPGs you play together?

      ​@@MichaelKocha Of course, I didn't expect you to hire a bunch of voice actors, but i dont think its too extreme to simply record a couple grunts, “hmms”, “huhs”, and laughs, modulate them and have them trigger every now and again as the player is passing by an npc. At the same time, I understand this is a small nitpick and you are focusing on much more important parts of the game. My friends and I have the most experience with RPGs like Skyrim, Fallout, No Man's Sky, and Valheim. I think that's why I focused so much on the ambiance of the game. Also I think even adding just 2-3 orcs watching and cheering would add to the urgency of the fight, you could even have them jump in one at a time at certain health intervals. While I do make these comparisons to other titles I am in no way saying that this game is not as deep and rich in lore, it's clear from your devlogs and commitment to this game that I've barely scratched the surface of what this world has. I understand your frustration with the negativity of the steam reviews and hope that you do not view my words negatively as well, cheers, good luck, and I continue to follow your progress with great admiration.

    What would it take for you to Hire devs again? The game development has slowed down a ton since your back to solo development… I’m just wondering what the game needs to accomplish for that to happen

      The game makes about $2000/mo right now. We need $4000/mo to cover our personal bills. Assuming another dev would want at least $4k/mo as well then the game needs to start making 4x what it does now to hire one additional person. For about a year we paid our team from our personal savings hoping it would eventually take off but it never did. The development has not slowed down as much as you might think though. Go look at our updates on Steam. Twice the amount of devs increases development speed by about 50%. It's not worth the investment and the time it would take to onboard a new programmer at this point. We'll likely need to sell another game to keep Swords 'n Magic alive.

    FYI for future reference or other folks. If you can use nanite (works on PC and major consoles, but not currently on mobile), and using newer UE 5.0-5.3 (more features in newer versions). Nanite completely changes how material slots/drawcalls work. Even for low poly stuff. So, traditional material slots/draw calls optimization wisdom doesn't apply the same way to Nanite workflows. Epic is putting a lot of work into making a lot of traditional optimization techniques not necessary anymore with Nanite things. Looks like you are still in UE4 at moment, so this doesn't apply to swords n magic.
