A big thank you to @RubioMonocoatRMC for letting me use their new outdoor wood protector DuroGrit. We used the Bison Brown for the exterior. For the interior in the cabin, I had some leftovers of Oil + 2C that Julie covered the floor, the walls and ceiling with.

This is the true story of how I plagarized a danish design icon in my pursuit of becoming a woodworking millionaire fast. It was @dainermade who got me started in the first place, kind of by accident. He appears in the video, and I kind of throws him under the bus, but I promise, it's all for good fun. We're the best of friends, at least the last time i checked. Go check him out at @dainermade ...

Hey how are the cement blocks with that metal feet called?
Jasper, im from Uruguay. I just find your channel and seems amazing!
Holy Moly, Lemon Cannoli please tell Julia she talks too much LOL!!! Fantastic job guys, & fantastic cinematography from beginning to end. Such an enjoyable story to witness. Hoping all is well guys, greetings from New Jersey USA!!!
Nice music
Hi. I had to look up Black Alder to see what the name is in swedish. The tree I get when Google is Alnus glutinosa (Klibbal in swedish) but they describe it as a soft wood not hard wood as you talking about. Is this another tree?
I love the sound of rain on a tin roof!
Awesome and well done loved every minute of it... Thank you
Like subscribed and shared! Thanks for this, your video felt like 10 minutes!
Tonight wifey and I managed to get our daughter done long enough to settle on the play mat on the floor and watch the latest Jesper video with a glass of wine. Then she woke up, then we watched, woke up, and watched some more. Our nights are much like the Danish weather it would seem, a constant source of unpredictable interruptions. Even the small wins can be made more joyful by doing things together with those you love. We always save these videos to watch as a family #lifegoals
@@FixitFingers Give your family a big hug from Denmark. I'm your biggest fan ❤️🙏
I hope you screwed the ceiling boards and didn’t just nail them cause otherwise they’ll come loose under their own weight.
You sound like an American trying to mimic a Danish accent.
That wire sure looks like a roll from a store.
Hey there Jesper. I'm in the US. I'm 67% Danish (as per DNA test) and 2 grandparents were from Denmark. Glad I found your vids. Denmark is on my bucket list. Maybe sooner than later depending on this coming election.
My dad taught me about woodworking and I think that this adventure of your daughter’s and yours is pure gold! I will try and pass on what I learn one day too. Thanks for sharing.
Bring on part 3!
Fantastisk arbejde Julie og Jesper. Hilsen fra Californien USA.
May I make a suggestion that it is a reclaimed cabin. My name is Julia also and I built a 6 by 8 shed out of reclaimed material as well I live in Portland Oregon how interesting to have a kindred spirit.
I chopped down a huge walnut tree, with a rusty 1h axe, just to prove to my mom and dad, that it could be done... took 4,5 hours and blisters for weeks... worth it
Watched the whole video waiting for the instructions for the pallet i had just for him to say at the complete end of the video that that pallet is only good to burn and not give instructions 😐🙄
Jesper, your humble demeanor and beautiful videos are such an inspiration. Well done, as always!
She likes it so u can't sell it lol😅. Well happiness is worth more than money so she's happy and we all know how hard it is to make our wives smile
A bit late now, but the wind stopper goes on vertical. This so that the overlapping joints get clamped.
Ok. At the risk of coming apearing as a dumbass, but I was wondering. Is Julie's hair, or lack thereof, a fashion/religious choise? I really hope she is otherwise fine and ok :)
Thank you for asking. That's her own choice (thank god) she's a buddhist.
@@JesperMakes That is great to hear then :) She certainly rocks it well. Can't wait to see the completion of your project! Greetings from NL.
Iskias nerven roder jeg også med. Hold da kæft et helvede når det er slemt. go bedring med det og held og lykke :)
Smuk video, så meget mere end bare et bygningsprojekt.
This reminds me of how I started. Scrap wood borrowed tools . Great stuff keep it up
So Danish...love it.
This is brilliant. I love how you and your daughter worked together on this as equals. I hope my daughter and I can do something similar when she is old enough (she's only 10. I think she should be at least 11 before I let her loose on the track saw.) Here's to lots of fun family memories being made in your new cabin.
I like it.
Hold op hvor er du grineren! Jeg kom for hytten og blev for humoren!
59:36 absolutely no waste going unused
Everything about this is awesome!
I think its always a great idea to put the roof up as soon as you can. I've watched other people finish the walls all around then put the roof up last. Seems like they have to hustle due to the weather. Great job!!
What stops the wood from falling out of the epoxy? - Not trying to take the mick - genuinely curious (noob on epoxy).
Lovely video. I have fond memories of doing projects with my dad. He renovated/rebuilt a large fishing vessel into a two-masted schooner, in which we later spent a year in and it has since traveled across the Atlantic to The Caribbeans many times. Unfortunately I lost my dad a couple of years ago and I just now find myself rebuilding his old workshop, which I have equipped with an old Robland X31 similar to what he had. Miss you dad!!
Instead of laying on the floor get a theragun.
Hej Jesper.
🙏❤️🇦🇺
"...he is a master at this." Yes he is. Hi Jesper. Hope you are well. Father and daughter, you make a great team...lots of future projects for you to tackle as a duo.
Looks like you had a few of those mornings where you wake up and say "can I be someone else today?" . I have been entertained and hope to be someone else tomorrow. Birdy
Around the summer of 1970 I became my dad's eager apprentice, building a shelter on our small piece of 'polderland' in The Netherlands. The project was extremely budget and a great adventure for a seven year old daughter.. I learned about all manner of hand tools (there was no electricity), how to drive a nail, go about a safe roof construction, which screws, bolts & nuts were used for what, you name it. A little discomfort at times only helped to feel we were committed to the project together. Like when we didn't have a roof yet and sat huddled together on a couple of chairs, holding a sheet of plastic above our heads to keep from getting soaked.. Apples and peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, and a chocolate bar on the bus home after a good day's work. Still building stuff today, still using many of the hand tools that built that first cabin - my dad long gone but never out of mind
You know that you are supposed to take the plastic backer off the roof water proofing? It adheres by itself or with warming it with fire.
This is one of the most wholesome series on CZcams. It's lovely to see. The offers of help and support you recieve are due to your obvious authenticity and is absolutely deserved.

Hello, I already commented in your original video but I just want say here so that you can notice me. I have a question, in our country. The only thing available is paint thinner and Davis Oil Wood Stain. Can the wood still be waterproof just by using these two materials and mixing it with beeswax??
