I'm curious to see how they continue their storyline into season 2. I wonder if it will be essentially the payoff of these two episodes, culminating in their training at the Naval HQ under Garp's tutelage. I think there's enough there they could cut to it across 2 episodes or so. He certainly is an oddball. I like how his hat/helmet in the anime gives him an edge over how he is able to choose to interact with others. He can go serious, or he can have those moments of good humor. On to Little Garden!

I won't lie, I had to look up what sovcits meant. I thought it was a topical cream for Rosacea or something. I understand the etymological roots are different, and perhaps I placed too much emphasis on the wordplay. I could have pulled from where my actual research on the topic sprang from which was from the collective works of LL Research and Don Elkins with their RA contact recordings and transcripts about "The Law of One", but thats a little too far out of the purview about pulling from the infinite and feeling it course through your body like Marcille was describing. I confess, back in 2019 through 2021 I listened to a lot of David Wilcock. I loved his work on Ancient Aliens, and enjoyed his videos he was putting out. I've never wholesale bought into much of it, but as a storyteller, they were always interesting creative thought experiments. But like most, once the topic of money arises, the snake oil salesman can't help but come out. That's when I started creating distance. The tinfoil hat part of my brain wonders that when topics get too popular, disinformation agents sow chaos to keep the contagion of ideas from spreading. Either way, sorcerer was meant as an anchor point to keep the discussion rooted in the fantasy, but I can see how speaking off the cuff as I did made it seem like I was trying to speak with some level of authority on the matter as it pertains to ideologies I have had no contact with or knowledge of. Haha. Ah, the wild life of internet citizenry.

It wasn't a huge slip-up, I just wanted to set the record straight because I have some personal issues with letting bad info stand. Like with Ancient Aliens, it is sometimes funny to watch but also painful if you know enough real history because of how blatantly obviously they're lying to your face every single minute. Not just posing silly ideas: *outright lying* about what evidence exists (or doesn't exist) in order to make their ideas sound less absurd. Like, the Pyramids: lies about the stone (we know where the quarries are, found the tools they used, found manuals for using them, recreated the methods to check that they work, found records of foremen counting how much work was done each day, etc.); lies about the positional accuracy (not at any specific coordinates that has a meaninful number in modern units, not perfectly square, not perfectly aligned with north), lies about their context (the three big ones at Giza are part of a huge funerary+temple complex, and there are dozens of other major sites in Egypt with their own impressive monuments), lies about their age (they are neither unfathomably ancient nor built by the same culture as Cleopatra, who lived closer to modern day than their construction), lies about links to other structures (as if humans the world over couldn't independently come up with the idea of building something that vaguely resembles a mountain). But all that would be fine if such works simply acknowledged themselves as fictional, but they don't because that doesn't sell as well. Instead, they present themselves as factual, informational, serious works-and people end up believing the lies. Not just the conclusion, but the foundational lies which are used to justify it; even those who rightfully recognize the conclusion as absurd don't catch all the lies they use to justify it, and end up believing in falsehoods. And while these little falsehoods seem innoccuous, over time they can build up until one day a person actually thinks about what they know, and realizes it doesn't add up... Then those conclusions don't seem as absurd, and another person falls into the rabbit hole.

I think what you say is extremely important, especially in today's world where information, both factual and not, is diseminated and spread across the internet on a global scale at incredible speeds. I feel like I'm taking some indirect fire in your crusade against misinformation, though. Haha. I wish you well on your quest. I will continue to elucidate on how it feels to experience humanity. And I will allow you the corrections to my ramblings to better inform the masses how we have lived out our humanity. 🤝

Really, the entire second half of this season does an incredible job building upon the party dynamics, but also giving each character a lot of development. I was pleasantly surprised at how the intention behind story and worldbuilding continuously work together and build towards new and exciting insights and developments!

I will absolutely keep up with comments! My audience is my audience, whether they've paid for advanced viewing or not. I mostly set up the Membership for compiling the videos ahead of time. Even I get some neat perks I didn't have before. For example, when I would schedule a video before, it was considered private, and you cannot leave comments on private videos. So I had to try to be around the same moment the video went live to write something up and pin it. I'm just enjoying the idea that I can work ahead and at least someone will be able to see what I've done, instead of waiting weeks and months. But, I have a very ambitious idea for EVERYONE planned around the holidays. But I'll need about.... 35 videos made ahead of time. Christmas is just around the corner... shh...🤫.

@@Noxiddar I hope you'll have fun reading the manga. Ryouko Kui is a master of her craft and it's the kind of work you can enjoy rereading multiple times because it's so packed with little details, without being overwhelming either. Getting a release date seems a little early for september I would say, but studio Trigger is a bit of a special case in my opinion. Japanese animation production is often pretty hard to predict because there are many unknown variables, so to be honest I'm not sure what'll happen. I'm just waiting without getting my hopes up for now, we'll know at some point.

It's funny that the Princess Vivi reveal got me. Since I knew what Vivi looked like from random. Twitter posts, but the fact that it was Miss Wednesday as well really surprised me. Even when I was looking through Instagram because I swear I saw her cast and she wasn't there, just everyone else, it still didn't click. So I'm super grateful for everyone letting that moment happen organically. That was super fun! I think what I had initially been thinking is there was an instagram post from an OP fan account that was doing a speculative casting and they had mentioned the actress was spotted in South Africa (maybe also spotted with Inaki Godoy?). It's all that fuzzy memory, I tell ya! I gotta admit, editing the Three Piece reactions is pretty painful, but I'm really enjoying the idea of making sure we end an arc with multiple episodes in the reaction. Recording is fun, but man, oh man, editing. Haha. Now that I know the pain, I don't think I'd ever have the heart to hire one and out them through what I went through. It's a kindness to continue doing it myself! I mistakenly thought the next episodes were Little Garden, but in actuality, it was a Two Piece with Coby and Helmeppo! So I'll have 10 episodes to work through this week! Starting Little Garden tonight after dinner. Can't wait!

I think during the editing I saw that the stripes in her dress are like a bandolier for them? They look like small pockets in one of the frames. Nothing dirty. It just happens so fast that I couldn't tell. Haha.

I definitely think we opt to cherrypick among those pronunciations. Like how my manga says Roronoa Zolo. I'm not much of a fan of that one. The Alabasta for alabaster makes the most sense, aye.

Unfortunately, I think I missed out on those days. I'm not sure if I want to live them either. I'm not sure when it happens, but It does seem like it gets corrected to Zoro eventually in the English manga, from what I've read.

Yeah, I figured that probably had something to do with it. But it still works as an interesting perspective. People who have been living at the Grand Line probably do see it as the end. Where Luffy and crew would see it as a beginning.

It definitely struck home hearing from R&G about difficulties that arose from the community. I'm not that far into the show, so I mainly wanted to see the comments and get a feel for what was going on (and see if I could recognize anyone). I definitely want everyone to be able to experience the story free from the burden of others trying to influence how they should experience it or making them feel shame if they misunderstood something. But it also solidified the idea that if I want to break free from random users with canned responses and spoilers everytime I posit a theory I'm going to need to record far ahead of where I'm posting on CZcams. So I started a membership where I could upload entire arcs and sagas ahead of the CZcams schedule for a few people to enjoy en masse until they become public. I should have Little Garden Arc up in the members only early access in the next few days! I hope you enjoy the journey and the new custom intro for the reaction series!

Thanks! The classic intro was still a holdover from the gamer days, but it's also a part of the identity. I just wanted to make something that showed I'm committed to the journey and express how it feels to be going on said journey. I'm glad you dig it! I was thinking about reactors getting into more established long-running shows, and I do think if I had to do this all over again, I would have recorded far in advance before uploading. If I ever did another lengthier series, like Naruto, I'd probably finish the first season or major arc, and then do a combination of editing and continuing to record between editing sessions. That way, by the time an episode 1-X reaction dropped, I'd be recording close to episode 90-100. That's my plan with Vinland Saga, too. By the time Episode 1 appears on the channel, I will have already finished recording season 2. One Piece is great because it lets me experiment. It sounds good on paper (or in the comments), but we'll see how practical it is to pull off with a full-time job as well vying for my time. Haha. It is good to see you again in the comments! Hopefully, by Christmas, I'll be caught up with some of the other channels that started after me. It's actually funny you mention that. I just started CZcams memberships today! I wrote a rather lengthy explanation about what I intend to do with it over on my 'community' tab on my channel page. The quick version is that I want to record, edit, and upload videos in advance instead of week to week. So all future reactions will be uploaded for members only early access, and then the next subsequent video will become public week after week. My intention with One Piece is to use memberships to have dozens, if not hundreds of reactions ready to go in memberships early access before I start increasing how many One Piece reactions will become public per week. As of day One, I don't have any extra One Piece videos on there yet (but I will start uploading entire arcs as I finish editing them). But I do currently have the entire rest of Season 1 of Delicious in Dungeon available. Whoo, sorry for the sales pitch. It's a habit of mine. But I just wanted to let you know I'm in the beginning stages of offering more early content through memberships. Is your @ a Final Fantasy reference? One of these days, I want to get a moogle plushie. I really enjoyed seeing them all over in FFIX as a kid!

I like finding OP reactors that do full episode versions, but it's hard to find reactors that I like or relate to in any way. I'm 35 and feel that you think very similarly to me which I find very refreshing. Yes it most definitely is a Final Fantasy reference. I love FF7 the most of all but moogles and cute little tonberrys are so sweet I love them!

I definitely think the horrors of his past have de-sensitized him to wanton violence, and tempered his resolve to not let the island meet the same fate. I suppose his manmerisms could be unnerving, though. I still quite like his ability to circumnavigate hardship with a smile!

I agree! I also love how he services the larger worldbuilding by giving us a glimpse at how other adventurers see the Touden family. There is a little bit of a reputation to them, not just from ex-party members but within the island community as well. And what's great is that since it is an account borne from hearsay and scraps of information, there's an element of obfuscation and unreliability. In other words: drama. This was such a much needed episode to give us a break in the story with our main party while continuing to flesh out the machinations of the world. It's pretty amazing how no moment is gone to waste. Everything serves a purpose in the storytelling. Quite simply amazing!

This will forever be a mental checkpoint along the journey where I have to keep in mind that when I share ideas that others present (that I don't ascribe to) people don't realize that unless I very clearly articulate it. This is a thought that other people had about Shanks. It was something I saw from others, like me, who had never seen One Piece before watching the live action, and so I was carrying that conversation over to the anime and picking it up in the middle of said conversation without better explaining why I brought it up. But it's always nice to see clarification! I think my main thrust was supposed to resemble something more like: "While I understand that Shanks does not have Devil Fruit powers, I'd been watching others get tripped up at this point in a few of the live action reactions I've watched from first time viewers where he stares down the Lord of the Coast, assuming he had Devil Fruit powers. I actually tend to think this is something much more primal and innate than a gifted power." This is probably what I wanted to articulate, but brain fog, bright lights, and overstimulating colors and sound does not often a coherent thought make. Haha.

I wish you nothing but the best of luck and fair winds on your journey to becoming a teacher! My time in the education field has been incredibly rewarding. Albeit, I went from an English teacher in Japan to a paraprofessional stateside, but it's really shaped the kind of man and mentor I've become. I always describe my journey through One Piece like an archeological dig site. I start at the top with the live action, move onto the anime, and end up at the source with the manga. Layer by layer, I feel like I'm always revealing something new, whether about myself, the story, or Oda himself. I've never experienced a story that operates on so many different orders of thinking and levels of storytelling, using the vibrancy of the foreground and the silhouette of shadows to simultaneously tell a story and the impression that it leaves. Humor is such an honest and liberating form of personal expression that I think people that tap into it inherently create an authentic emulation of our human experience. I genuinely think Oda's humor and personality let's him slip into an ease of flow with storytelling. I've yet to experience any other author or mangaka that creates a work that effectively makes ME feel like I am present in the moment, escaped into the fantastical world of One Piece, and receptive and reflective all at once. How I came to One Piece and Reactions doesn't start with a happy one. However, like following the steps of Joseph Cambell's 'The Hero's Journey', I answered the Call to Adventure like so many before, moving away from tragedy into the open embrace of the mystery of the unknown. @@Noxiddar I adore your enthusiasm; though the One Piece community is generally pretty good about it, I hope you don’t get spoilers in the comments. I feel that with a show that’s this big of an undertaking to watch in terms of time commitment, going into things blind is even more sacred to us. However deep you think the deep mysteries in Oda’s world run, it’s more or less always a safe assumption they run deeper than that. It’s truly a delight to see all the smoke and mirrors start to come down around the current world order in what Oda calls the Final Saga, which begins with the ongoing arc. Dressrosa is fantastic, story-wise, but the stakes and scale of the conflicts continue to increase exponentially from there. One Piece has been running over twenty-five years now, and the payoff absolutely feels like it. It’s truly epic, in the literary sense of the word.

I'm glad you enjoyed! I will probably try to work in more "Three Piece" reactions where I can. I may find a list of the arcs with episode numbers and should I be going along and find I'll end up one episode short, I may do an arc conclusion with a 3 episode reaction, too! It is certainly a great irony. The only solace is that I can share my excitement for the journey with the others of the community! Many more adventures await!

Absolutely. I wish I could add an addendum to the end of a published video because I didn't realize the direct parallel Laboon shared with Usopp until I was deep into editing. Both feeling abandoned, crying out every day, stuck in their routine of waiting and wishing for their father/crew/family to return. Once I realized that, it really struck me at how Usopp out of all the crew was really struggling to logic it out. Such a brilliant subtext, and why I'm always thankful for comments where I can give new ideas new life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and giving me a place to share mine, too! 🙏🏴‍☠️

I really love that he does that, because that's how I usually relate to things in my world as well, whether factual or fiction. Especially since, at the time of saying that, I had no idea if they were even in a real whale at all. Oda took me on some twists and turns all within 23-ish minutes. Pretty darn impressive!
