they turned Patrick into a garbage can where his "comedy" in Every single EPISODE is him eating something, he's also stupider than never, the VA's are getting older too man how much i want for SpongeBob to become a failure so Stephen Hillburg's creations can rest in peace along side him... it almost feels like they torturing the character to be out of their original personalities

I feel the same way about the early seasons of The Simpsons. The drawings were a bit rougher, but that lent itself to it's (for the time) rebellious energy and charm. The coloring was more experimental and less predictable. They also featured a wider variety of angles and perspectives. The later seasons are just too polished and bright and clean. And boring.

In today's spongebob there are plenty of over the top scenes that don't contribute to the story. The humor is just too juvenile and outlandish for adults. 2020s spongebob is just like Oggy and the cockroaches.

You know if I was the new writer of nickelodeon I would end the show immediately with an episode that's really good and ends with the best day ever and then sponge bob and his friends watch as the sun sets and then the screen fades to black and it says thank you for watching the ending music will make it nostalgic and now there can be more room to put some more effort on shows and more effort on making new ones a series I would rlly like to add on nick is called frost heart it's originally from a book and it is really good personally I think nickelodeon should read some books and decide which ones are better for Makin a show so it will do both good in money and happiness

I know you dislike the ending of this episode but another way this episode could work is have Plankton be adopted by Squidina and Squidina helps Plankton get more efficent in his plans and mounts a better timed plan to get the formula.

It’s sad that this show spiked back up for like one season but then just got worse after that.

it's embarrassing how different the show is now. when Stephen Hillenburg wasn't writing for the show in the late 2000s/early 2010s, at least the storylines were interesting. but now? these more recent seasons are just slop. even the animation quality plummeted☠️

This is going to sound nuts, but just hear me out... I don't think the animators have the town mapped out. They don't even try to stick to consistent routes. I think they just animate whatever route is most convenient for their story.

If they are just going to pull this out then: Why does SpongeBob have a job as a “kid?” What is the backstory to Patrick’s family and his rock? (because it seems that he never goes back to his rock) And why do they act like kids even though they are clearly adults even though they are trying to bring kids to the show?

This just proves the fact that New episodes of Spongebob are redoing episodes with references and stuff just for money at least the post movie SpongeBob episodes had new stories to tell instead of referencing the perfection and creativity of the true absolute best of seasons 1 2 and 3

Not sure what's more dry now, spongebob's throat in this episode or a majority of the modern seasons.
