I recently purchased a catch can to help my engine breathe with harsh conditions of racing. What I thought was going to be a great addition to the car ended up being a nightmare! The first catch can would fill up with oil and spill it everywhere on the car. Come to find out, it’s not the one I needed for what I do. Watch this video to find out which one is better for you! Isn't it funny how everyone who buys rzr is replacing tie rods and a bunch of other shit! Why don't the manufacturer already have the best shit on them. I'm totally willing to pay the extra cost of it. Its just dumb and its probably a money thing. Idk its just frustrating 😕

    As @rachelallen9772 pointed out, there are several things wrong with what you are doing. I'll start out by saying, from your comments and what you are observing when you opened this shock, I'm going to guess this is your first time in these shocks in the 3 years since you put them on. You are obviously a fan of Liqui Moly but never show any consideration to the oil weight you are adding. Did you add just any weight or replace with what you had? At the 20:15 mark, you fill the shock with your new oil to nearly the top....the ONLY way that happens is if the IFP in the reservoir has not been removed. Now you have a huge air bubble below the IFP. To further add to your apparent lack of knowledge is using a tire valve extension Vs. a no loss chuck...regardless of what you say. You should not be making this video. 100% guarantee this is NOT how to replace shock oil to all those watching!

    • @STOKED2SHRED2
      @STOKED2SHRED2 Před měsícem

      Well, first off the shocks work just fine and have put 1,000 race miles since this video. Shocks are perfect 👌🏼. I don’t disclose the actual weight of the shock oil because this is prototype oil that isn’t just from off the shelf. The IFP was not removed, but they were bled to push out any air bubbles that could be in the system, just not shown in the video. The fact that I chose to use a tire valve is by choice. I check the nitrogen with my Fox no loss chuck and there is always proper amount of nitrogen in the shock. So just because I didn’t do it the conventional way, doesn’t make it wrong. It works just fine. Like stated above I’ve since gone through the shocks and everything is golden and have proven that the LM oil used far surpasses the quality oil that was originally in it before.

    Park Tool is waaaay over priced for what they sell. Used this PCV pipe method myself a few times. Although I usually add some lube to make things move along easier. A lot of my Automotive tools can be used for bike maint. as well. Hell I use a cheap steering wheel puller and a couple pieces of flat light steel(with holes drilled/tapped in the appropriate places) to press in new Headset cups.

    Nice video. That FMVSS sticker is important. We pull tested this swivel in a Sprinter van and it passed both FMVSS 207 and 210. Most other swivels out there have not been tested, or only tested for 207. 210 test uses the seat belt mounting points.

    You never refilled the reservoir with oil, set the IFP depth, or air bled the reservoir side!!! Huge rookie mistake!! Those shock ain’t gonna last if you really did miss those steps…….

    • @STOKED2SHRED2
      @STOKED2SHRED2 Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks for your insight Rachel but the reservoir doesn’t get filled with oil, just nitrogen. The bridge was bled, and the reservoir was bled and purged of air, but just not shown in the video for the sake of time.

    • @rachelallen9772
      @rachelallen9772 Před 8 měsíci

      @@STOKED2SHRED2the reservoir absolutely has oil in it!! That’s why you set the IFP to a specific depth (the IFP IS IN THE RESERVOIR)….there is oil there. Think of it as if someone get is into a full tub, the “water” has to go somewhere, and that “water” goes into the reservoir…,that’s what happens when the shock shaft compresses into the shock body!! All shocks have at least a 3/4” of oil in the reservoir!! If you actually think that there is zero oil in the reservoir…..you don’t belong anywhere near at set of shock rebuilding tools!!! And this is coming from someone that has been rebuilding shocks for the last 20 years. Good luck! If you need help, please feel free to reach out and ask

    Why anyone would buy one of these is insane to me. You’ll NEVER be able to get it serviced and repaired easily. At least can am and Polaris have a huge dealer network for repairs and private shops with years of experience. It’s hard enough to get warranty work done on the big manufacture cars, I can’t imagine the hell it would be dealing with Robby and speed UTV none sense. Good luck to anyone with these things

    Off topic but mannn give me your honest opinion on the km3 vs tensor regulator

    • @STOKED2SHRED2
      @STOKED2SHRED2 Před 11 měsíci

      The KM3 was such a crappy tire to race on. I blew at least one every race. If not, 2 or 3. The traction from the tensor was a huge improvement too! But I don’t run the regulator’s I run a DSR33. The older regulators that have a mud tread pattern was a bit on the heavy side because it was a DOT tire. The new one is supposed to be modeled after the DSR33 (Desert Series Race) which is their race tire. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them so far. I have a buddy that races on a set actually.
