  • Had something very unusual happen to a set of new SuperATV Rhino 2.0 axles. They wrapped themselves and tore the boot. Is it toast? Or are they still good? You be the judge!

Are you racing a 4 seater?

Could be since the super atv axles are for a 70 in wide kit?

That's crazy! How could that even happen??? Your axle would have to slip inside the CV!

That happen to me on a Honda pioneer 1000 and I couldn’t figure it out once I took it apart the axle fell apart taking it out everything was still good the cage everything idk

I wonder if excessive droop cause the larger section to grab the lower section and twist it. Since the large section would be spinning at a different rate as the smaller section of boot.
Maybe some limit straps are in your future 🤷🏻‍♂️
You have a mix of brands on a vehicle that wasn’t originally LT.

Looks like heat got to them, and caused their cheapass boot to shrink up. You did have a failed bearing after all, that would introduce a lot of heat to axle. I believe stock Polaris is better than Rhino now.

I’m normally a fan of most OEM parts (belts, brakes, etc.) but stock axles, ehhh I wouldn’t go stock for an axle. At least not for a long travel pro xp. I’ve never had any major issues with running Rhino 2.0’s until now. This is a first for me. Yes, I had a couple bearings fail, but the other axle that wasn’t shown was brand new with nothing but a qualifying lap on it. Not enough heat to cause it to shrink. They’re wrapped. They spun somehow and twisted up. The passenger side axle twisted so bad it tore the boot. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Spun is indeed odd, any chance of me getting one of the axles to take apart and look? Or, you do a vid on showing it apart? Did you figure out why your bearings are failing?
