Replace Drive Belt for a BOSCH Belt Sander
This video will help guide you through the process of replacing a Drive Belt in a Belt Sander.
The belt sander in this video is a BOSCH PBS 75.
The replacement is fairly simple, but I would highly recommend taking this opportunity to thoroughly clean your belt sander, especially all of the gear teeth on both the small drive gear and the larger sandpaper drive gear.
I was able to find and purchase 4 replacement drive belts through ebay for about CDN$15.00 (my order is shown in video).
Good Luck with your repair.

How did your doors seem to sit so flush and close so smoothly? My outside door is hanging quite low and heavy, it takes a lot of force to push it up but it won't stay there, no matter what adjustments i make.

The new belt for this sander says, "Do not crimp". I think that must mean, "Do not catch the edge of the belt over the edge of the toothed pulley". That is what is being done in this video. As Ihpl says, the correct and easy way to do the job is to remove the large driven toothed wheel from the rubber roller. There is a trick to this. NB The nut has a left hand thread. You can hold the rubber roller still by carefully levering against it with a broad flat chisel. But have the bevel toward the roller and be sure that the chisel blade cannot dig into the roller. To turn the toothed wheel use water pump pliers and be sure to use the old drive belt to protect the pulley teeth. Remember, it has a left hand thread. The belt can now be placed over both toothed wheels with no tension. Reassembly of this does not need tools. Unplug the sander before starting and use a brush to remove dust during disassembly. My small roller shows signs of wear on the teeth. It is just possible that this caused the belt to break. Something to consider if it breaks again.

So I changed the flapper based on another video and still heard the water running. I tried turning the knob which adjusted the water level but didn’t stop the leaking. Just when I thought I’d have to replace the valve I watched this video and took the top of the valve off and cleaned the rubber and plastic (which I doubted would work). Working perfectly and stopped all running water. Thank you!

Not a fan of this at all. I was going to replace the CMOS battery on this laptop I fire up infrequently. I think I’m going to leave it alone. I have an older Thinkpad where a single screw on the underside allows the user to pop out a panel and replace with a button cell. On this unit they used a proprietary battery rather than an off the shelf button cell. Major downgrade in my opinion by IBM.

That's great. Very glad to hear you succeeded. Appreciate the gesture but a simple thank you will suffice. I'm not really doing this for the money. If I did I'd be in the poor house. I'm a professional Mechanical Engineer, self-employed and semi-retired for the past 10 years, but still keeping relatively busy with projects that keep coming up. If you search my company and name [Vito Mike Casola, P.Eng., President, POWER GENySYS] you will find my other CZcams channel where I showcase several of my past projects which I was directly involved with designing and 3D drafting, and animations. This channel is sort of a hobby and something I did truly to help people who might otherwise give up on repairing things which would then end up in the garbage and ultimately landfills. With some help hopefully many items will not end up in the landfill for many more years to come. It's my way of helping out the environment as I don't believe in the whole Climate Change alarmism nonsense. I believe the climate may be changing, ever so slowly but that it doesn't represent any existential threat to humanity. I believe the planet and we will be able to adapt to whatever small climate changes happen, which is something the alarmist don't want us to believe. Anyway my fridge repair is still going strong and I would recommend you plug your fridge (and any other appliances, TV, etc. into surge a protection device or a good quality power bar with surge protection) to avoid possible damage that could be caused by irregular voltage spikes from lightning storms, brownouts, and other utility anomalies. Anyway best of luck, and once again thanks for supporting my channel. Vito Casola - FIX IT Yourself.!!
