After checking everything else, it seems I have a coil issue. To make sure, since I don’t have a viewing hole to see the flame, I turned off all the lights to make the entire room was pitch black. I also put some aluminum foil in a spot where it didn’t touch anything but hopefully would reflect some light for me to see, though i actually don’t think it was needed. After the dryer was turned on, I saw that the igniter turned on twice (giving a bright red-yellow glow each time) and the gas lighting up twice, giving a faint but visible blueish glow. After that, the gas wouldn’t light up anymore. I immediately turned the dryer off, unplugged it, quickly removed both coils to test on a multimeter (you don’t have to be super rushed, it’ll stay bad for a while), and saw that one of them didn’t give any ohms. After letting it cool down, I tested it again, and sure enough I got a reading. Did all of this twice (ensures I only need to “cut once”). To OP, thank you so much for this video, I really appreciate it! Hopefully I can get this all repaired up. I’m so tired at this point @_@

Great video. I would like to recommend before removing the burner. Remove the pilot tube and verify you have gas coming out of the valve. Next like you mention blow out the pilot tube. Make sure your thermal switch isn’t tripped and try to light the pilot. Most of the time that works. Unless it’s a bad thermopile it will light.

Can't believe your channel hasn't been suggested to me before! Fantastic explanation with no filler "We bought this car and lemme tell yall the story of my sick sisters journey when the AC went out...." that always seems to go along with a lot of other DIY and How To channels!!!! Very well filmed and demonstrated. Clear, concise language and giving all the names for the pulley/clutch/ etc. People call the same part 5 different names sometimes and it confuses me sometimes. Thanks for making this because I am definitely going to use your channel and this video in the future!!! Cheers from Missouri in 2024!

Likely from the amount of debris inside the protective shell on our heater which is outside. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to explain each step in detail, and how it could possibly relate to the overall effort to solve the problem. Other videos often show you what they did after they’ve already done it, but that’s not really ‘teaching’. You clearly showed how to do each step, which was awesome and amazing. Thank you.

Best video for this repair I've seen yet.👍 But for whatever reason, I Cannot get the seats & springs to seat. Been working with the both sides for over 2 days, meaning running outside turning water on only for a few minutes at a time because since they're not seated, now instead of the dripping faucet that I started with, I now have a running one. I've tried pressing with my fingers, and with various rounded ends of different tools. Even with the ball itself (Wondered why I didn't think of that long ago🙄. And was sure that would work👍😁. NOT). I've even tried, while pressing down, using the point of a steak knife, 'wedging it in' all around... Would just replace the whole faucet, but 'things' underneath the sink are so old and corroded 😳... I don't want to go from almost psycho to absolute madness (Undersink leak?!? Under house leak?!?!?! Just bury me now ⚰). Any advice, anyone??? And to those of you with 'funny bones'🙄, please don't suggest a plumber. Not unless you're paying. Added-- Oh. I also tried a different set of seats and springs.
