Move Sill Plate That Overhangs Foundation Wall

Sill plate not flush with the foundation wall or overhangs the foundation wall? We drilled around a foundation bolt and then used a sledge hammer to move the sill plate flush with the foundation wall, so the Hardie Plank lap siding will not have waves in it. If the sill plate overhangs the foundation wall, lap siding and vertical siding will have waves in it.

Thank you, Richard! It just kinda made sense it would work to move the sill plate in. We've done it before, and it worked then too.
