Wow! Thank you very much for sharing this. I've been dealing with, what i thought for years to be, cervicogenic vertigo and have been primarily focusing on the back of my head. But every time i put on a scarf i feel better. I guess it healps but learning about this muscle from your video as one of the most worked muscle on the neck, i can now further care for my vertigos. I am a 70 year old retired coal miner and 4 weeks ago a consultant gave me a steroid injection into the muscle of the torn ligament I have in my left groin but it did not work and I have to now go and see a pain specialist to have a more powerful injection under anaesthetic but what I want to know will my torn ligament heal on its own or do I have to have this other injection or is there anything I can take to help it heal like any herbs or supplements.
Would you consider it beneficial to add movement while doing this release? Such as extending and then flexing the wrist? I have seen many examples of trigger point releases that suggest adding movement in order to stretch and contract the muscle over the point where pressure is applied, for a better release.
Yes some people to suggest that. However our training is from a more eastern school that requires stillness to register the sensation of release and let natural mechanism work.
