I live near the sea and I thought it wasn't beautiful. In this lesson my sea and it's beautiful. I'm painting a picture with you!
Perfect 🎉 I found my favorite teacher! You have wonderful lessons!
Very beautiful. ❤❤❤
Why u have not painted the cable joining the poles. It would have given more depth to the picture. Any how a marvellous painting. Hays off to u.
I didn't have time to finish the whole video. Not sure if you spoke about this or not, but Paul henry is one of my fav landscape painters. He painted that area over 100 times! I'm American and I clicked because I knew I heard the name Connemara before.
Thank you. That was a very good demo..... I may give it a go 🤓
Great demo! Are you able to share the reference photo so we can practice along?
Great to see a new video Grahame, thank you.
Lovely painting Grahame. Nice to see you back.

Thank you so much
Im glad you come to Connemara, where i live and get inspired to paint. See you next time I hope
Very good artist everyone should subscribe
Great work, Grahame! I see zero issues with this painting! Might I suggest, at the end you mentioned knowing when the painting was done yes/no. I too stop at the same point as you did. But, I do one more step. I "always" sleep on the painting and come back to it the next morning when I'm fresh (with fresh eyes and mind). I then create a list of no more than five items to fix (at the most). This limits reworking it to death. If it needs more than five fixes it should probably head to the paper cutter to use as test scraps! I really also like that you did not try and tie the wire poles together with any sort of lines. Besides it being difficult to do (mistake city!), with the poles being that far away the lines would have just been a distraction. Good Job!
Tree branches are awesome!
Absolutely beautiful, wish I can paint like that😢
May I ask if you are painting flat or on an angle?…thank you

Merci , Thank you
Love it Grahame! Thanks for sharing.
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
I really like this, Grahame! Is this a half-Imperial sheet that you used (15" x 22")? I have been painting in 11" x 14" format and feeling like it is restricting me a little bit to much. Not enough room for expression. Do you feel this way too? It's difficult to get "painterly" strokes happening on the smaller sizes. A good example of this is Vladimir Volegov. He too is a CZcams "Oil" artist (look him up!). His smaller pieces lack the impressionistic brush strokes that his larger pieces convey. What a wonderful artist!
It's half sheet paper Robert but masked down to slightly over quarter sheet. I find quarter sheet fine for this type of subject but I'd use half sheet for more complex subjects.
👍❤️
Wow, I have never seen this explained this way. It was definitely a light bulb moment for me as well. Thank you!
I have learnt so much from this. Brilliant tuition. Many thanks.
WOW!!! I learned so much in this tutorial!
