I rarely watch a watercolor video of this length, but I couldn't turn this one off. You made it thoroughly informative and entertaining. I felt like I was constantly learning the entire time. Beautiful painting. Thank you!
What a wonderful teacher you are! You explain how and why so well. I learned so much from just this one demo. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent!
I've watched many watercolour tutorials over the past year, many very good but I thought yours was brilliant. Really enjoyed your painting and teaching style. Thank you!
From the depth of the Sonora Desert (Arizona) how refreshing, how green and blue! All through the demo, I held my breath, the tree on the left is too fuzzy, too soft... then with seconds to spare walla! Sunlight, and the fuzzy tree has form. Thank you. Excellent demo!
I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for these videos and all you do. After becoming disabled last year at only 41 yrs old I started taking my painting serious and it has saved my life. Your teaching has cleared up so many mistakes I had been making. Much respect and you have a big fan here for life. Thanks again.
Hi Grahame, thank you for this lovely demonstration, I have been struggling to get going with the 3 layer wash system, but at last success, your words "if there is no bead your paint is not wet enough" has done it for me. Kind regards Clive
Graham, I really appreciate your tutorial and especially your wonderful comments. You are interesting to hear for your explanations and demonstrate beautiful techniques and color ideas for your paintings. I thank you for this great lesson. Don Sylvester Houston, Texas
I came across you by accident painting this lovely picture and I absolutely love how you instructed everything so clearly along the way. I learned so much. I’ve always wanted to paint in your style but never seem to be able to do it. Fabulous picture. Thank you so much. I hope you have more paintings along this line. Can’t wait to see them.
That tutorial was / is fantastic. I’d go as far to say it is the most informative video I’ve ever watched on watercolour painting. I love the clear colour references and the ability to see you mix them and to know your thoughts when choosing the colours and when and where to put them. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
IT’S REALLY LOVELY HOW THE WHOLE PAINTING STARTS TO HAVE THAT SOFT GOLDEN GREEN GLOW TO IT, AND IT REALLY BECOMES APPARENT AFTER THE DARKER TONES ARE ADDED. There are a couple MASTERFUL water colorists on YT and you’re on that list! Thanks for sharing!
Stunning Grahame Beautiful scene and I've learned a lot about softening and not doing the scene too quickly as you mentioned Ive always loved bluebells and in Scotland [ highlands] Now the y are all over the woods Thanks for your hard work and inspiration!
Wow! What a great tutorial! I have learned so much and love the way you explain what you’re doing and why! Thank you. Please, please keep doing videos.
This is so stunning. And I learned so so much. You are incredibly good at explaining what you do. I really struggle with the "trying to make it look good too early" part. But it is so hard 😂 and I often muddy it up 😫 Thank you for sharing your skills.
Loved your video as usual Graham. I think your greatest attribute as a 'teacher' is sharing your vulnerability as the painting develops from am idea in your mind, to a statement on the paper. You don't know exactly what is going to emerge but with experience and confidence you do achieve your objective and this gives the viewers hope that they too are just as vulnerable to this testing medium as you are.....but with practice it can be done! thank you from Cape Town.
I love, love the bluebell demo! I love Ireland and probably have some roots there (as you can guess by my Brady surname). Wish I were there and watching your wonderful, extremely helpful demos in person. Carry on your marvelous work!
Oh wow! What a brilliant video, I couldn't stop watching 😁 Love the finished painting, and the tips are great . Just stumbled across your channel and subscribed. Only started painting earlier this year. Now I will look for more of your tutorials, thank you 😊
Just found your channel and really love the painting. But even more I like the way you explain what you are doing. Never watch tutorials so long, but this one I couldn’t stop watching. To be quite honest..., I won’t be too sad if you show more of your tutorials 😉. Thanks a lot..., you are a great teacher! (And of course artist!)... I don’t have a swordliner😔... 💕
Fantastic painting! I love this scene in the woods 😍 I love watrcolors but it's very hard for me to paint loose because I'm such a detail person 😅😁 but I learn and I use it in some of my illustrations... this was very helpful, enjoyed watching the process. Thank you for sharing this wonderful work! 💖😊 Marija
Just beautiful. Greetings from the Netherlands. I really enjoy your painting, the way you suggest the flowers, the bushes, the trees. That sword rigger is fantastic. I think I have one, it looks fantastic for painting branches. Do you twirl it around, while you paint? I was trying to see that... Thank you so much for taking us all on a trip though bluebell land.❤️
I don't really twirl it Maria. Instead it is more like little quick jerky movements to create the twigs. If you paint too slowly, the twigs can become rounded instead of being relatively straight.

The results are magical and the process was stellar❤️🔥🙏🏻🥇
Love this. Always wanted to paint bluebells in woodland you have given me ideas to do my own. Thank you
This is gorgeous. I enjoyed watching you create magic with your brush.
I've watched many watercolour tutorials over the past year, many very good but I thought yours was brilliant. Really enjoyed your painting and teaching style. Thank you!
This video is a gem. I saw it back to back. Thank you for posting this on CZcams

That bead is so important Clive and painting wetter can make such a difference to a painting. Glad to have been of help.
This is so stunning - I was mesmerized! Thank you for this incredible demonstration.
Brilliant, it feels like another
level of watercolour painting for me.
Soo enjoyed it.
