A soprano will hit a G#5 note with a balanced/heady mix and the world we see it as being spectacular But when a baritone or a tenor hit G#4 even with a chesty voice, the world sees it as average or normal Men have the best and stronger support in their entire belting range far more than women, but the women are applauded and praised more because they can belt in the 5th octave and men generally do it in the 4th octave, but it is definitely the same due to the voice type. If John Legend was to be a woman with this kind of a support and range in belting, then the world or music industry would have labelled her as a soprano even if she possesses an heavy tone. But as a man he is labelled a baritone even with the support and belting range.
