It's hard as hell to infuse soulfulness and raw emotion into high notes, in chest and head voices. Luke is effortless. I love his voice so much.

I loved that F2, and G#2. His voice and vocal range are so fluid. His falsetto and head voice are incredible! Definitely like the most underrated male vocalist of our generation and probably of all time.

Exactly. People just aren't supportive of really talented artist. Mainstream commercialization has gained the appeal for supporting an artist. It's all about being famed then bring talented. It's a huge mass of talented artist and vocalist out, people just don't take the time to appreciate them. People buy too much into the motions of being "washed up," and "not poppin.'" His last album was really dope, but many overlooked it and thought it was dated. He showed what vocal talent truly is on his debut, from a foreground (strong vocals) and background (harmonies) vocalist standpoint. Angelfully

I love me some Luke James. His head voice is so round & full. The way he implements vocal dynamics & staccato on his performances is amazing. However the tone (subjective) for his chest voice is just so average & ugly to me. No my cup of tea. I'd rather stick with Avery Wilson who is a beast all across the board from chest - head - falsetto - whistle. Great video.

ale5677 if it was perfect, it wouldn't feel real or have emotional resonance. Being able to hit high notes is great, but if your voice has no depth, that doesn't make up for it. The cracks and imperfects in a singer's voice are what make them unique and gives them substance.
Avery is very talented but Luke is in a different place. It’s not just his voice… it’s his passion… his songs are imbued with it. When he lets go, I am here for the ride. Luke takes us to church; his voice is anointed.

His tessitura lies between C4 and A4. He can peak up to C5 but it wouldn't be vocally comfortable for him. You have to take into consideration that he is a male vocalist, so his belting range is not going to easily surpass B4. On the flip side, his falsetto and head note range is very impressive.
Angelfully oh lol. I'm a guy but I can easily go into the 5th octave but I have no idea what notes I'm hitting lol. But my technique has to be like perfect and my voice has to be rested for me to hit my upper 5th stuff
