Hi Mick, thank you for your kind comments. I used a Sandtex Masonry grey paint for the fence, and a grey Ronseal Decking Paint for the darker grey. I hope this helps mate, Terry.

@@Wrighty No I'm trying to ascertain the type of algae you are refering to if it's Cyanobacteria then this needs a different approach to fix

Hi mate, I use to have a net over my pond and it does spoil the view of the fish, plus a heron will use a net to walk over the pond. The fence I have can be removed and replaced in less than 1 minute. I must admit it is a far better option. Thanks, Terry.

Hi and thank you, it's really appreciated. Yes, Japanese Rose is another name for it, your quite right. The Buddleia was a real pain to keep trimmed. But I did love the butterflies and bumblebees that came, trouble is, when they built the housing estate in the field next door, they stopped coming, so I took it out.
