I have the blued Gp100 6 inch , I love it.

The throats in my 45 Colt Vaqeuro and my Blackhawk Bisley measured at .443..." I've reamed the throats in my Vaqueuro to .4515" but haven't done my Blackhawk yet.

The second notch is the loading notch. The _first_ notch is the safety notch. I suspect that in those NDs with the old model the safety notch was not being used. The Colt was designed to be carried with six beans in the wheel and the hammer in the safety notch. I am not aware of a documented case of a discharge from the safety notch except the Army Ordnance testing where an obviously defective hammer failed.

I skimmed through wanting to see how you cleaned the barrel since you can’t get a bore rod aligned with the barrel. Did I miss it?

There are plenty of videos that show how to overcome these problems by purchasing something, but you're one of the few videos that shows how to make these mods oneself. I approve.

I owned a GP100 for competition. Always felt comfortable and controllable. I like how you tested using double action in best revolver tradition. Seems both guns are equally fine so just down to individual preference.

I've watched nearly all of your hull loading videos and a number of times you mention that this isn't a test for down range effectiveness, just hull longevity. So, maybe you could do a video or three on down range performance with different powder charges and wad designs, and if it affects the shot pattern. You make shooting fun! Thanks Manny!

Thanks for the tips. I have the same but the shiny version. I am not gonna disable the safety. But everything else looks like good advice. Although I am not into the cowboy action scene, but more for persuading people to get the fuck away when they come hunting for trouble. I keep mine broken down in the trunk of the car when traveling or together when in alarming areas or using roadside rests with piss poor histories. Don’t you wish all of us were as careful? Incidentally, those triggers can be pushed back in by pressing them into a piece of lumber in and upward, one at a time.

I am new to shotgun reloading. I have a ton of these, I can't find the recipes for these hulls. It's all the higher end hulls that they list. I have dot and 1oz wads.

Hey mannyCA. Found your channel looking for info on shotshell reloading. You answered a lot of questions I had about reloading different brands and types of shotshells. So anyways. I noticed that you showed that the action bars could not be removed from the magazine tube @ 4:17. The big pin at the top that mounts the action bars and holds the piston in the mag-tube is held in by the mag-tube spring and can be removed very easily by putting the butt against a hard surface then taking a screw driver and pull the mag-tube spring down a little bit through the mag-tube opening to release tension on the pin. Next with the spring pulled down, pull up on the pin to remove it and be careful with the mag-tube spring and piston as they both will pin-ball off the walls if they get out! Remove action bars. Now slowly release the spring with the screw driver 'holding' onto the piston. Remove screw driver. Slowly bring up the piston and spring until the spring tension is relieved when coming out of the mag-tube for removal. Now piston, mag-tube and mag-tube spring can be cleaned. Reassembly is easy. Just go in reverse. The divets in the mag-tube sides are compression stoppers for the piston and also act as shell limiters like a mag-tube plug would do. Have fun!
