Oh man, let me tell you that I'm totally into tailoring clothes for my kids. But I never had the courage to tailor my badly fitting shirts. But your video makes it look so easy. I guess I'll give it a try! Thank you so very much. And thank you too for giving other guys (like me) the courage to tell others that they love tailoring. That is not yet a matter of course these days.

Been sewing for 40 years & I swear by a Brother or Kenmore machine. Have fun with sewing, it'll save you tens of thousands!

I got a Kenmore at a thrift store for $40… It was practically brand new, whoever owned it never used it… Had the owners manual, box with all the attachments all original… I bet you they didn’t use this thing over five times

I have a 50+ year old Sears free-arm straight stretch machine! It doesn't like thick materials but it mends.

I just went ahead and got the exact one you use man. I trust you and that brother sewing machine has been an amazing upgrade from my 1970’s brother lol. Thrift stores are great for a durable beginner machine. That older one is cast iron and got way too heavy. It’s great to see you back stylish dad!

I been having this issue off and on for year with one my new machines. My other one is kenmore you can easily tell if threads come loose. Thank you man. Now I know when doubt go back basic re-thread the machine lol

My second hand Elna I learnt from the manual how to string it all together and I'm sewing Up Up and Away!... Until I broke my needle! That's alright I'm cool. Learning lots of things. I hope to make enough uniforms for the Revolution ;)

I like the last tip. I use white chalk on dark and lighter coloured fabrics. Time to bite the bullet and invest in my sewing inventory...Imma get that neon pink chalk 😂😂😂

If you're at all active, the tighter tshirt sleeve irritates the armpit with constant rubbing from the seam.

I genuinely don't understand what your doing with your pins, Are you bending them or what cause EVERY time I put them in and test fit they, Fall out, poke you, Don't hold the fabric in, Like please explain!

SD! Bought my first sewing machine thanks to your videos! Would love to see a long form factor video to see where you actually make the cuts on a shirt that’s being tailored to you. I tried tailoring a t-shirt to myself after a few days practice but wasn’t sure how to handle the sleeve. Just a thought! Love the vids! Keep it up!

A bobbin will last a long time, unless you're making a quilt. I can go through 10 bobbins easily during that process!

It lasts for a long time, untill the last stitch the last inch of the project . . . :c

During my schools Fiddler production, I was tasked to make Chava’s dress and costumes in general, and that machine hated me I swear😭 I was so close to finishing and didn’t finish till like a week later bc the bobbin screwed up the needle broke 3 times in a row then I accidentally stitched the wrong things together because I looked at the wrong instructions-

Sir, your pile of clothes is growing faster than that glorious pot-plant. 🪴 Also I dare you to change the order of those three spools of thread between shots and see if anyone notices. 🧵🧵🧵

Totally agree about side loading bobbins although I used a industrial machine for a while which had a bottom load bottom, I think that was actually worse

Really appreciate your vids. I’m 6-1 with a 12” diff from chest to waist and next to impossible to fit off the rack. And I DETEST a wrong length sleeve. Drives me batty! Gotten positive feedback on my shirt fits. Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with a side loading bobbin. I use one every day.

the bobbin lasts forever until you realize the most perfect seam you just stitched actually was only so easy because the bobbin was empty after the first 10 stitches :)
