Gary Stevens and Chris McCarron gave the match race the authentication it deserved. The movie's depiction was spot-on with the real race run in 1938. Gives me chills everytime I watch both.

This is how the movie should have ended... They knew Clyde tunneled into all of the isolation cells. When Rice rice walks out of the cell, as Clyde is toying with the necklace there a shot of him looking up to the wall of the cell. Cut to Rice walking out as the explosion happens. We never see Clyde die. Dun Dun done.
