    Taking on ALL the big engine manufacturers of the planet is truly to be respected.. It's HIGH time for exactly this: dependable, light, affordable turbine safety. If you ever do make, let's just hope you won't sell your shares to some VC who will then milk out all your customers by pushing the price point to the price levels Pratt & Whitney / Rolls Royce etc....

      FAR 91.119 Minimum safe altitudes: General. Except when necessary for takeoff or landing, no person may operate an aircraft below the following altitudes: (a) Anywhere. An altitude allowing, if a power unit fails, an emergency landing without undue hazard to persons or property on the surface. (b) Over congested areas. Over any congested area of a city, town, or settlement, or over any open air assembly of persons, an altitude of 1,000 feet above the highest obstacle within a horizontal radius of 2,000 feet of the aircraft. (c) Over other than congested areas. An altitude of 500 feet above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those cases, the aircraft may not be operated closer than 500 feet to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure. (d) Helicopters, powered parachutes, and weight-shift-control aircraft. If the operation is conducted without hazard to persons or property on the surface- (1) A helicopter may be operated at less than the minimums prescribed in paragraph (b) or (c) of this section, provided each person operating the helicopter complies with any routes or altitudes specifically prescribed for helicopters by the FAA; and (2) A powered parachute or weight-shift-control aircraft may be operated at less than the minimums prescribed in paragraph (c) of this section. Even if it was a helicopter and not a video game it would be a legal flight

    Altitude and VSI needs to go on the right side while speed and power to the left. Baro is ok below ALT and VSI... current display feels quite weird for anyone used to 6 pack and Glass cockpit.-- Other than that I like this idea and design a lot!

  • @rotaryperfection
    @rotaryperfection Před 25 dny

    All kinds of options you say?? How about a partnership to intergrate MS flight sim to use their world 3d data in the back ground as terrain? If its all real time, then sudden foggy conditions would still be flyable due to the data streaming of the environment from that simulator in real time.

    • @DerickMasai
      @DerickMasai Před 25 dny

      Doesn't synthetic vision account for this without the need for such an integration though? It wouldn't look as nice but should function just fine if needed since it apprises the pilot of any obstacles.

    • @rotaryperfection
      @rotaryperfection Před 24 dny

      @@DerickMasai Is there something wrong with my idea being an additional option for those you want more visual data? Their display may as well be an oversized smart phone so why not have options for certain apps is how I see it. You as the pilot, choose the terrain option you want.

    • @yamafanboy
      @yamafanboy Před 24 dny

      @@rotaryperfection you can't fly through fog using sim data my friend. There's no room for error when visibility is compromised. If you need to fly in IMC the only safe way to navigate is via IFR. Not to discredit you completely I think your sim terrain overlay idea would be more suitable for night flying in weather conditions with clear visibility.

    • @rotaryperfection
      @rotaryperfection Před 24 dny

      @@yamafanboy Don't understand the push back. A secondary visual aid should be welcomed. Not every pilot will be IFR trained. The Kobe Bryant helicopter crash is a perfect example of NOT having that type of visual aid to assist a pilot who finds themsevles in a zero viability situation. If your instruments are meant to give direction, why not the ADDITIONAL layer of a visual aid on top of that? It makes zero sense to me to NOT want something like this as an option on top of everything else that exist.

    • @yamafanboy
      @yamafanboy Před 24 dny

      @@rotaryperfection idk if you read my comment and understood it because I never said your idea was without merit. I clearly stated the most suitable use case for something like that. With regard to the situation you referenced about pilots finding themselves in a zero visibility situation.... my burning question is actually whether pilots should be allowed to operate commercial rotorcraft without IFR certification.
