Great video. The original strut on my kitchen cabinet was too long and overpowered. I just got a properly-sized and properly-loaded pair for $5 on Amazon. The larger ones were 2x-3x the price!

Can you tell me anything about electric actuators? They dont come in the same length/weight as gas struts. So do i need to know the length requirement or the weight requirement?

How about for stairs ( 4 step ) as lift for storage space underneath. how do you measure the right gas strut lenght?

Super helpfull. Question I have is that I have a door 48" x 48" but only weighs 15lbs. How would I determine what to use as it is really hard to find a Gas Strut that is long but low lbs.

Tell me if I'm wrong. I'm designing my subframe and i don't want it to work like yours. As yours, in this video is moving way too much close to the cab. Close to the cab there should be very little separation from the subframe to the truck frame. We both know how theses frames twist. The greater separation from subframe to truck frame should be at the rear of the frame rails, while close to the cab, the habitat should behave like the cab itself. Additionally there should be hardwood along the truck frame top, so when the subframe falls flat to the truck frame there is buffer and not metal to metal. I see most commercial upfit firms do this.

Good to see your sub-frame is working as expected. I still have to make this test also...... although I always calculated and measured with 12 cm (4,,7") distance between frame and truck. Few days ago I got a problem on Actros MP4. When my handbrake is active it doesn't do air leak, when I release handbrake it starts to release air and losing it. Also when I push brake, it also starts to leak. When I go behind a truck, bellow saddle i can feel air blowing on that module for air. I don't know what to do?

Sem sells a textured paint. Similar to the vinyl on most car dash boards. Then you just coat it with what ever color paint you desire.

I suggest putting some cushions between the tie-down ratchets and the tank, to prevent them from bouncing up and down and abrading surface of the tank while driving

Fantastic video! Be question: if I do install 2 struts will I need 1/2 the Newton per strut? Given that two will add up to the same amount? Like if I need 60 Newton total, but install two struts, do I purchase 2 struts of 30 Newtons?

right but you can convert this to run on E15. Farmers use it in their heavy equipment. it can certainly run on E15.

Wow this is awesome 👍😮, look at that, smart enough the wheels are big enough to not bottom out! wide enough so the ride isn't tippy, hate that in big bus conversions.
