    I missed this one. 1:54 great use of graphics for the sub request 👍
    Great job. Your ability to explain how and why to build it the way you do is second to none.😮💪📕🖋🛠🤯
    Try going through comments and hearting those you missed. An easy way to let people know you have a new video out.

    Very plush. There was me thinking that you were doing all this work yourself. But now I know that you have lots of help as I seen them all putting their thumbs up.

    My dream is to make such an expedition truck and travel the lands of my nomadic ancestors, Mongolia and the steppes of Central Asia...

      Mongolia would be one of my dreams as well, not sure it is realistic to put that on my bucket list.

    Awesome work but you forgot one important link! The shade/screen kit!!! And looks like I'm not the only one asking, lol. Nice t-shift btw!

      Thank you ! I am planning to make an extra video about the roller screens and than I will link the product to a site/company which are willing to ship to North America. If you like to find it on your own the product is " Dometic DB1R " thanks for commenting !

    Love it!! Question...where did you get the roller blind/bug screen?

    • @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF
      @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thank you. In regards of the window shades/screens I imported them from Europe. Google
      Dometic DB1R .

    Thanks again for sharing, lots of great ideas. Leaving the T slot exposed means you can attach things on the outside if you wanted, good idea.
    I've finally bought a truck from Europe, how did you get yours from Germany to BC? Best option I have now is Halifax and drive it across myself....

      @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I didn't even think about that great thanks, but I have organized my self a slot cover strip it is a rubber strip which fits in the slot and comes in various colors. I picked silver to blend in.
      Congratulation on your purchase now the journey begins. Shipping is a beast for him self if you be located near the west coast than is Halifax not your best bet. Do you have a shipping agent or you planning to do it your self ?

      @@oscaroverlander_MB1222AF it depends how hard it is, I am thinking myself but I have no idea haha

    How did you prevent making a thermal bridge with the two halves of the aluminum window frames?

    • @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF
      @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF  Před 10 měsíci +2

      The outer frame is made from Aluminum and the inner is vinyl/plastic which is a bad conductor therefore good for this purpose.

    First you do great work. Aways on my mind, is a question. Is DIY cheaper than buying a habitat turn key?

    • @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF
      @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, absolutely it is but ...here comes the but : it is way more time consuming and not always fun, it is a huge commitment and if you are not skilled enough in all those different trades the end product will for sure not look like pro work. You constantly lacking the right tools or space or in my case temperatures are my enemy.
      Building your self takes a lot longer but it safes you a ton of labour cost ( sweat equity ) Thank you for your question !

    • @gator701
      @gator701 Před 3 měsíci

      It is often DIY projects cost more than than the resale value of the asset created. My project pivoted with this in mind. Buying expensive parts, with freight and taxes adds up. Even if the labor is free. @@oscaroverlander_MB1222AF

    Why plywood interior? Why not FRP with foamboard?

    • @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF
      @oscaroverlander_MB1222AF  Před 9 měsíci

      Question for you : why cost aluminum clad wood windows so much more than PVC ( vinyl ) windows ?
