Deforest Kelly (Star Trek) played many roles before Star Trek. He said he liked play the "bad guy" because it was so counter to his real personality that it made the "acting" easier and more fun.

He was PERFECT for the part. One of my favorite episodes was when Ed gave Ruthann a beautiful spot to serve as her future final resting spot and they joyfully danced on her grave. I choke up every time I see that episode

Series 6 when Ed looses the girl and someone to produce his movie was heart wrenching as he cried on Maurices shoulder as Maurice hugged him like the father he needed! Such an emotional tender moment. I still think of them as they all were in 1995🥹. Wish they would produce a 2 hour update on all of the cast. I think Ruthanne and Walt passed in the early 2000s but the rest of the cast is still with us. That would be so great to see them in their old roles again💖 just one more time🫶

he always was my favorite character on NE as well . imagine my surprize when I saw him in a short role in the coen brothers movie "Intolerable Cruelty" 2004, playing a redneck who tried to shoot someone with a rifle... Go Figure!

I always felt that Ed Represented the heart & soul of the show’s creators. 30 years later, I remember having a crush & being convinced that his looks were my idea of perfection.

He was on General Hospital in the 1980s as a charming low-level villain.

Pro Wrestler Chyna aka Joanie Laurer in her book claims Christa Miller played an integral part in Chyna and Triple H's break up... truthfully it was really because she found a letter to triple h from stephanie mcmahon. but Christa did have joanie banned from the set when Triple H filmed his scenes ín the Drew Carey Show

Ever since the documentary Quiet on Set came out, it makes me so sad that many child stars that helped bring so much joy to our childhoods were treated so terribly & traumatized. Todd Bridges is an example of a child star who's gone through so much in his life post-Diff'rent Strokes. He's been through hell & back, unlike his castmates Dana Plato & Gary Coleman, who've both met their tragic & untimely ends. May they R.I.P. 🕊 Glad that Todd is doing well & living his life to the fullest. Thanks so much for sharing, Steve! 👍🏻 I have a very special suggestion for you. i always knew him from Simon & Simon but never watched it much as I think I was just a tad too young for it. I also remember him from John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness (complete with 80's porn stache lol)...which I thought was an interesting casting choice for Carpenter as he typically uses a lot of people he has worked with previously. That is the only major film role i have ever seen Jameson in as well...

I have no respect for an actor who doesn't give a damn about his fans. The show was brilliantly written and filmed, and the relationship between Joel and Maggie was well set up for their eventual living happily ever after. We, the fans were enjoying going through all those episodes to that eventuality, and for him to bail out so that that could not happen made us pissed off why we went through all those episodes in the first place. Also, his character was gradually getting over his absurd obsession with New York, and if happily ending up in beautiful Alaska would have continued the profundity the show constantly promulgated. We now had to endure the more than pathetic ending the show delivered. Did Morrow know or give a damn about the consequences? The show should at least have gotten rid of his character by displaying the side which cared about no one but himself. Is that who Morrow is in real life? Too bad he destroyed such a brilliant show and giving the finger to his fans to boot!

Liz Sagal and I studied on a dance scholarship together at Dupree Dance Academy, back in the day … and Jeannie would come take classes as well. It was a golden era in Hollywood - the beginning of MTV and breakdance movies. We were all gigging like crazy.

Actors usually aren’t like the characters they play. Take Carroll O’Connor for instance who played Archie Bunker. Carroll Is nothing like Archie in real life totally opposite.

I remember Double Trouble! My younger sister and I grew up when the show was on and called each other Kate and Allison (I was Allison) according to our personalities. I only found out today (29 May, 2024) that Katie is their sister. I cannot tell you how lovely this is to me, and how wonderful I find it that they continued their careers in the way they did. Thank you for this!! I think of the show often and I miss it.
